WOW! I cannot believe how poorly I was treated. Not only were the women working in the store unprofessional, they were also incompetent. I shipped one package and they got the address wrong. I phoned when I realized thsi minutes after leaving the store. She asked if it was my error. I informed her it was their error. For my trouble my charges went up by another $2.32 (from $10.05 so a significant jump). Now, more than twelve hours later, my tracking number comes back as unavailable. I wonder if the package will ever be shipped or received. I will do everything in my power to avoid this location in the future. read more

The other bad reviews are well deserved. The young man working behind the counter was nice enough, but had to charge me $2 to use a small piece of tape to seal up a return box based on store policy. Not only have I never paid for tape before, but they did not charge me tax, which implies the fee goes straight into the owners pocket. I will not return. read more

After walking here after work to make it there before they close at 6:30, they told me they don't offer shipping things media mail (~$5) and instead tried to make me pay $18 plus cost of the box. The employees are not helpful at all and I think it is kind of crazy that they can't print out a media mail label in the store when I can print it out on my computer. You are better off just getting a box from somewhere else and printing your own mail label out. Not making the mistake of going here again. read more

This store rips off customers! I purchased a book of 20 stamps which should have cost no more than $9.00 and the store clerk charged me $12.60. After realizing that the store clerk overcharged me for the USPS postage stamps, I asked for a refund. The store clerk gave me a refund less 10% restocking fee. I did not even use the stamps. I had them in my posession for only 5 minutes. Can't believe that the clerk did not offer to void the sale. To make matters even worse, the store owner never returned my calls to resolve this issue. If you want to ship packages from this store, prepare to spend between 20-30 just for a cardboard box. This store clearly is not interested in customer service or making the customer happy. After this experience, I feel the need to tell everyone tat I know to pass on this store. I would rather take my business to another UPS franchise store rather than this location on Hampden Lane in Bethesda, MD. Caveat Emptor ! read more

This particular location is the most efficient shipping center I've visited. I go to this UPS location about four or five times per week for work and everyone is friendly, efficient, and very helpful. I'm always impressed when I visit during the busier hours of the day and I still don't have to wait long at all, due to how efficacious the staff is. This store tried to sell me a BOX to ship a TV for $60! After calling the 800-number to get an estimate, I took a TV and a rug to this store for shipping. The quotes I was given over the phone were entirely bogus--each store is franchised and can charge whatever they want. The manager himself said, "UPS is expensive." The manager was arrogant and cared not at all about whether or not I gave him my business. Needless to say, I didn't pay for their $60 box or for any of their services. read more

I have been coming here for years, the staff is friendly and gets the job done quickly. They also, do a great job packing breakable items. I have been sending my stuff to hotels for vacations and come here every year to do it. I highly recommended this UPS store to anyone looking for great packing and service! read more

BEWARE - I had to mail an item specifically with UPS. So I walk into the "UPS Store" and ask to have it mailed with UPS... Next day, when I check the tracking I found out it was shipped with USPS! Even on the receipt, I received (which has UPS all over it ) it is very difficult to find out that it was actually shipped with USPS...I mean, the whole point of UPS is to stay away from USPS.. In the future I will only ship with Fedex. read more

My family has had a box here for about three years now and the staff are absolutely wonderful. They are incredibly patient and very generous. I moved away from home a while ago and had a ton of my things shipped to me, and they did a great job with handling everything, not to mention always keeping track of the insane amount of packages we get. Just wanted to drop off a pre-paid package before they closed on Friday at 7pm and couldn't do it because they had already locked up and left before then. If you close before your posted store hours, then change the store hours so that customers will know not to waste their time. read more

This place is terrific and very helpful. I have sent various things there over the years, but today I had a very unusual request -- and they made life easy for me. I had a very large box, located a couple of blocks from the store, to return to someone who'd sent it to me. It wouldn't fit into my car. So I went to this store to see if they had anything to suggest. t saw a hand truck in the store and asked if I could borrow it. Sure, they said and they simply asked me to leave my driver's license with them, which I did. When I soon showed up with the box on the truck, one of the guys picked it up and carried it up the steps and into the store -- it weighed 76 pounds on their scale. I gave them the shipping label that I'been e-mailed, and I could stop worrying. They are always pleasant, always helpful, and give me a high degree of confidence read more

I have never had a more incredible experience with a UPS store. These guys are really off the charts. I had a very complex situation and used them for scanning/emailing critical documents to my daughter in NY - the sort of documents you rarely trust anyone with - and then they helped me put together an overnight package for Monday delivery. When the door buzzer in my daughter's building didn't work and she didn't get the package, I called them in a panic. They contact UPS HQ and rescheduled the delivery to an access point within 1 block of my daughter's apartment building. In my opinion, this goes way above and beyond customer service. I almost didn't go there because they were a UPS store. I had a recent experience with a UPS store much closer to me where the service was really horrible. The guys were rude and when I stumbled outside their door in the snow, they just laughed inside and made no effort to help me. Not recommending Westlake to anyone but store #100 really makes the trip worthwhile. read more
