I first used this UPS store to return a package from (a well known internet company) Moses provided the receipt and had me photograph the package, saying it is not uncommon for this company to claim it was never sent. He advised me to hold on to the receipt for up to a year. Weeks later I am contacted by this company saying they never received the package and I was responsible. I sent them the receipt and photo as Moses had said. They quickly apologized and said that in fact they had received it. This last time I went to return a package that I had not ordered and at two other locations was told it would cost between $123 and $306 to have it shipped back. When I finally took it to UPS, Moses corrected the mistake and returned the package at no cost. I don't post many reviews but when I do it is because I feel it is well deserved. I needed to send a gift to Brazil last month and having no experience with this process needed much help in getting it ready to send and the process of filling out the paperwork. The manager at UPS was so helpful in getting all that done. It was an involved job and difficult to manage where, when and how it would arrive in Brazil. It turned out to not go well on the destination end as the recipient was not able to pick it up. I thought that I would not see it again. Moises is always so quick to help and is very attentive to all customers. This last time was a very time sensitive task where I needed to print/bind a TON of documents and get shipped overnight. This ups store is awesome! All of the employees are so friendly and helpful. They hustle to help customers in a timely manner, multitasking all the while. Even when very busy, they are so polite and remember us whenever we go in. They've helped us handle cumbersome packages more times than I can count. Shipping costs are very high and one would expect when returning to Amazon that the least they can do is tape it up. There new policy is that we have to pay$1.50 for 5 cents worth of tape. What a rip off!!!! I will make a point of returning to the USPS. Of course I still have to tape it up myself but I don't want to give my business to some stingy corporate entity any further. read more

Absolutely the worst UPS store ever. Went in this morning and Jesus told me he couldn't ship internationally until 11 when the manager arrived. So I went back at 11:05 and he said his manager wasn't here so he couldn't do anything. Shrugged his shoulders, told me he couldn't do anything. Worst customer service I've ever received. Hours are not posted anywhere and he gave me some smug answer about it just being a work schedule before he walked away. Will never return to this store. read more

I have been going in this store often for about 2 years. I have used their printer and shipping service. They are always so helpful and friendly. I had a mailbox in Santa Barbara and the man that owned that mailbox place is so nice and I'd had that box for appx 10 years and hated to leave, but it just wasn't convenient anymore to drive there when this The UPS store is only a couple of minutes away. I finally decided to change my mailing address and from the first inquiry to now a couple of months after having my mailbox there, I must say they exceed my expectations every time. They are ALWAYS friendly, professional and efficient, no matter how long the line is or how many questions I have. They take care of everyone and make me feel welcome and like they sincerely care. I'm grateful every time I go in the store which is about every other day for their kindness. I had a very hard time deciding to move my mailbox from where it had been all of those years, but they have made it so easy and now I'm so glad I made the move. read more

Terrible, this place is almost always closing 30min earlier than what is stated on their website and on their door. As a mom, it's a pain to get out with a newborn to drop off packages, my husband works late so I'm always racing to get their before they close at 6, yet every time I have gone even sometimes an hour before closing they're closed!! Best service ever! Jesus and the owner (didn't catch his name) were so helpful! I was shipping a yoga mat and needed a shipping box for the awkwardly shaped item. The owner found a used one in the back so that I wouldn't need to purchase a new one and Jesus cut it down to fit perfectly and help save $$ on shipping weight. If you need to have a digital document printed, go elsewhere. At FedEx, you can walk up to a self-serve printer and print directly from a cloud account. You pay for the copy/ies ONLY. I called the UPS Store and was told I could print from either email or the cloud. I wasn't told I'd be charged a minimum of $3 just to use the computer! Plus I had to pay for the copy. This UPS store is one of the greatest finds in Carpinteria. The manager, Moses, is an experienced mover with a outstanding knowledge of shipping and packing. He personally walked me through entire packaging and shipping of a significant amount of household goods (4 pallets) from Carp to Seattle. Everything arrived safely and on time. It never occurred to me to ask if it was the correct size. My renewal application was rejected because the picture was too large. I was told the photographer should have stood further back from me. Awesome service! Today was move out for the Cate kids and Moises was super busy but he made time for me. This is the BEST UPS store !! They have moved my personal belongings from California to Kauai and again from California to Colorado. Everything was done quickly and economically with no delays or damage to any of my belongings including a very fragile antique rocking chair. I recently dropped off a package for international shipping....I was assisted by the manager Mo. I had several questions and concerns about shipping packages over seas, Mo was diligent and spent time answering all my questions / concerns without hesitation....I felt much better after my 'schooling' with international shipping!!! Mo is the best...! I will use this store for all my future international shipping needs! As an additional foot note, I frequent this store several times a week picking up mail / dropping of mail and purchasing the occasional office supply...(so convenient!) the behind the counter staff is quiet nice and 'welcoming' all customers as they enter...so awesome...!
