This is the worst UPS I've ever been to. Incompetent, slow service and overpriced. I would rather deal with USPS than this UPS location.

The last time I was here I was told I couldn't mail my ON FLEEK wrapped package because "they needed to see what what was in the box" before they mailed it. So this week I returned a comforter and pillow covers. I was told I needed to pay $28 for packaging despite the fact that I had a pre-paid return receipt. Yikes! $7 for just one box? Plus more $ for packaging for bedding which didn't need packaging? I'm pretty sure we were taken advantage of which makes me so sad. I tried to get the guy to put things in one box but he refused. These guys are a piece of work. I think this location is individually owned than corporate and they try to upsell/upcharge all transactions. I had an Amazon prepaid UPS shipping label and all I needed help was to print the UPS label, then ship the item. I was told I have to print the UPS label and it would cost me $5. I asked the supervisor why this store was different as I had no such issue with other ups stores to which I was told "they can't". I requested the supervisor nicely if a one time exception can be made and their response was "no they won't". I went to a different UPS store down the road and explained what happened at this store and what I needed, the folks there were profusely apologetic, helped print the UPS label and also securely pack the item and shipped it. read more

We walked in needing a form notarized, five minutes to their closing time. We were informed notary services stop an hour before closing. As we were walking out, James asked to see the form we needed notarized and said he could do it because it would not take too long being it was just a single page. Came in and talked to employee named Justin for 20 minutes and he proceeds to tell me UPS does not allow employees to ship out a scope....because it can be "firearm related". I have shipped many items of the sort within the last several years, even from UPS location in the Houston area and have never encountered this issue. Absolutely terrible service! I visited the UPS Store at the "Pak & Ship Plus, 14900 Avery Ranch Blvd Suite C200, Austin, Tx" this morning to drop off a package. After handing the woman behind the counter my package, I asked for a receipt because A.) The item being sent was rather expensive and B.) I needed information from the receipt to send to the receiver of my package. The woman behind the counter was snippy and stated she would not give me a receipt for my package. I asked why not, her response was "Due to Covid". I asked - What has Covid got to do with me getting a receipt for my package? Once again in a very snippy, unpleasant tone, stated "we're not giving receipts". What?!? Her boss was sitting at his desk right behind her and didn't bother to intervene. I took my package back and left - I will never use this poorly run, unreliable "Pak & Ship Plus at 14900 Avery Ranch Blvd, Suite C200" again. I called UPS HQ and was told this situation was ridiculous - if the customer asks for a receipt, they should be given one. read more

As a former The UPS Store employee, I can tell when I'm being lied to when it comes to shipping. My wife didn't know any better but her experience with this store infuriates me. Shipping a package from Central Texas to Dallas is a 1 day transit with UPS Ground. Tell me why the employee (a female, name not on receipt) told my wife that shipping ground wouldn't make it by EOD Friday (a 3 day window) and proceeded to charge her $30+ for Second Day Air?
