So I dropped off my package on 11/23/16 to a UPS location by my house and somehow it got transferred to this location in Cerritos. It is 1/19/17 almost 2 months later after tracking my package it is still sitting at this location. I try calling UPS customer service or corporate and they keep telling me I have to contact the direct branch. I contact my branch where I initially dropped it off at and they say it got transferred, please get in contact with that branch. No one wanted to give me the phone number to Cerritos due to company policy which I think is ridiculous. Based on the reviews here on YELP I don't even want to deal with this branch, owner, or associates. 2 months to deliver a package and who knows if they even still have the package? Gives UPS a bad name. Avoid this business unless you like shitty service. read more

First off I understand that asking for a favor from anyone can be overstepping when I don't know the person but, I called and spoke with person by the name of Jay and asked him for help which not only did he say no, he was very rude in the way that he spoke to me. My friend Jake has special needs, today is his birthday. He is a huge fan of UPS workers. He owns jackets and shorts, and things to do with UPS. He even has a UPS toy truck he carries around with him. I called this store and spoke to Jay and asked him if we could come by and just look around and maybe let him just talk with them. He flat out said no, but in a way that broke my heart. He didnt even allow me to talk to him about the visit just being brief. He kept saying this is a place of shipping and he had no idea what I was talking about. Well, because he didnt even allow me to say any further.... So I took Jake to the UPS hub center where he was treated well and a worker happily took a picture with him. I will never call nor visit this store. Form your own opinion, I already made mine. I've only been here once and will now drive out of my way to go to any other Ups. Why? They were not friendly, stingy and overcharge. I had a small package with paid postage and all I wanted was it wrapped in brown paper. I would have bought wrapping or paid a small fee for the wrapping service gladly, but they did not tell me there was a fee or that it would be a ridiculous fee. The girl took the package with no explanation, wrapped it in 10 seconds and then said that will be $5. $5!!! To wrap a small package that took you 10 seconds?? I could have bought wrapping paper and wrapped 10 boxes for half the cost! The wrapping cost me more than the shipping of the package to Kansas ! Very upset that they didn't at least clarify the cost before providing the service. And she was so short with me I did not feel comfortable protesting the ridiculous fee. Good for you lady you got yourself $5 and lost all potential future sales from a resident who ships all the time! I'm pretty sure the cashier made up the number too because no where in their pricing did I see a wrapping fee and she just typed it in, the receipt didn't even say wrapping service just $5. read more

Beware! I rented a mail box at this store when I first moved to California, so I would have some place to get mail until I bought a house. It worked fine to receive mail until it came time to cancel the box and start getting all my mail at my house. I tried to forward my mail with USPS online, but they would not allow it because the address shows as a business. The business is supposed to take care of this. When I asked the store owner to forward my mail, he told me he wanted me to pay him to forward my mail. I refused because I think this is a scam to take advantage of my situation, so now I have to figure out something else. If you use this store, you may run into the same problem. I suggest you pay a little more and get someone who won't screw you in the end. read more

The remarks about grumpy previous owner is very true so I am hoping the new owner will be more understanding and accommodating. My husband dropped off a legal document package on 6/5/2021 and asked for an expediate shipping and was told to pay extra total of $109.88 and expected delivery date will be on 6/9/2021. With various follow up thru the store and UPS itself was not easy. We were told to keep checking on the tracking systems which for a few days never updated so making various calls still did not get us through anything. Finally it stated that it was delivered on 6/24/2021. This is a legal document that was being waited on the other side of the world that has a deadline. I have back and forth emails with UPS asking for a refund since they have no right to charge that much for something they cannot perform but they claimed it is beyond their control. How can a simple document package from CA move to AK to Korea to China to the Philippines then went back to China then back to Phils. somewhere along the line someone messed up so it is really not beyond their control but pure negligent and stupidity. I expect a better handling of this case since they are suppose to be a big known reliable company. I am just requesting for a reasonable refund for this and UPS refused just claiming it is not their responsibility because the delayed was due to an emergency situation or bad weather conditions. I don't think this is the case since it was shipped back and forth to countries when it already reached destination on 6/10 for them to ship it back to China and arrived back to the Phils. on 6/17 and then delivered on 6/24/21. This might not be totally this particular UPS store fault but I need resolution and will continue to file a complain to the Better Business Bureau on UPS soon if no one will take responsibility for this issue. Been coming here for months to drop off packages as it is the most convenient location near me. I do not expect great customer service but this store has it ALL WRONG. Owner only comes out of back room when it starts to get busy and rarely greets his customers. He personally has NEVER said hello to me nor acknowledged my business with a simple "thank you". Total bs. Wanted to fax a paper, ONE paper. And closes in 3 more minutes and we wanted to get the right phone number for the fax and they told us they closed. THEY DONT CLOSE FOR ANOTHER 3 min seriously?! Bad service. Never coming back again. Our favorite UPS drop off. There are other drop offs closer to us, but we will drive a bit further to drop off here. They are prompt, scan your packages, and give you a receipt, which we can't seem to get from our local place without a lot of protest. read more

My neighbor needed to get her fingerprints made to get her RN license renewed. When the owner made her fingerprints, he said the print is not good as her fingers are not good, but he still kept her $84 and the prints were submitted to the Nursing licensing group. The group returned the prints as unreadable and said she should return to the UPS Store as they have been selected to do this work and they would do it for free as that store had made the error. Upon returning to the store, the owner became very belligerent and wanted another $84 to re do the prints. She then became engaged in a bad discussion with him and as she is in her 80's it was very unprofessional on the owners part. After she returned home and got some more info, she called him and then he did the most rude thing of all---he hung up on her. I know my own personnel experience in the store is they always seem to act like they are doing you a favor to handle your business. So my neighbors experience does not surprise me. read more

Not that bad reviews really matter for the store because all I've ever had to do was drop off boxes and leave, but I normally go to other UPS stores and have never experienced such bitter and rude employees. I was returning some Amazon rental books, so the shipping is paid and I had printed the proper postage paper at home. I've been doing this for years, and have never had an issue. But today the older Asian man working at this store was a complete asshole within the 2 minute interaction I had with him. He was yelling before I even had a chance to say hi. He told me to place my boxes on the scale one at a time and even though I heard and understood the first time, he then repeated himself in a louder voice. Then he went off on me about how I'm supposed to tape the boxes at home. Like I said I've been doing this for years and not once has any other UPS employee refused to tape the boxes for me or tell me it's my responsibility so I always had them do it for me. He goes on lecturing me about how "next time" I have to do it myself and I told him "I've been doing this for years and have never had a problem. Next time I'll go somewhere else." Then he continues lecturing me, until I finally said "can you please stop yelling at me?" And he still didn't shut up. Just hope the boxes were sealed properly and that they get to where they're supposed to go. Thanks for being a jerk old man! When I asked if they can help find out if my package was still at their location, right away they told me to call the UPS distributor. This lazy guy didn't even offered to look for it. I asked to speak with manager, and OH MY GOD, he is even worse (Turns out he is the owner of the location and he did the same thing) Didn't even ask for the time when it was dropped off or my tracking number. They shouldn't be processing any UPS packages if they're not willing to help the customers. Gave me the run around for hours. I still don't know where my package is. read more

WORST UPS EVER DEALT WITH! Not surprised they only have 2 stars. They are rude and dishonest. I paid for a box for one year and when they rejected one of my shipments, I cancelled the box. The shipment came on a pallet, and I wasn't aware that it was going to be shipped that way, so understandably they were unable to accept it. That was fine and all, but I wanted to cancel my box and find a new place because I may need to receive more shipments the same way. They told me I have to pay for a minimum of 3 months when I went to cancel. Also understandable.. so I specifically asked the gentleman who was helping me cancel if I could then still use the box for the remainder of the 3 months (I was a couple of weeks in at the time). He said YES! About a month and a half later I have some packages delivered there due to the convenience of location. They reject it again! I know for sure that it was not on a pallet this time so I called to find out why and they said it was because I cancelled my box. I replied to the owner that I was told that I could use it for the 3 months I paid, and he just kept saying no, and that he never told me that, even though he was right there when I was told this by the other gentleman previously. Horrible. Just horrible. Told me that they picked up my package from the drop box, but due to their agreement with Verizon, a phone is not allowed to be returned via the drop box. I was never informed of this by verizon and there is nothing posted on the drop box itself. Now verizon is trying to charge me 800.00 for not receiving the phone. And ups won't do anything to return the phone to me or send it back to Verizon. So I'm stuck fighting with both of them. read more

I wish I had checked the ratings of this store before going there to ship my package. The package never reached its destination on time. It seemed a custom duty tax needed to be paid two weeks ago. I was never informed of this. UPS contacted the store to have them reach me; the store claimed they contacted me but there was no history of them doing so. When I finally asked them for help in locating the package, the manager was extremely rude to me in person and over the relay phone. When I called twice, given that my package had been delayed for more than 2 weeks, Brian and his manager were very rude and hung up on me, saying they had a "business to run" and that there were other customers waiting. My issue had been going on for over 2 weeks and they did not give the professionalism and customer service I desperately needed to locate and resolve the missing package. For sure, I will never use this store again for future UPS needs. read more
