The owner of this store, an older Korean man who refused to tell me his name, is absolute trash. I came here to drop off a textbook on a Saturday around 3:45pm. This store is supposed to close at 4 so I figured I was okay on time, especially because it would be a quick transaction. I pull into my parking spot and see him locking the door and I asked him to wait because I have one drop off he said no and he had an appointment to go to. I tried explaining to him that this drop off was time sensitive and I would be charged a late fee if I didn't send it out today. He shook his head no, said "dont matter" and proceeded to walk to his car. Goes without saying but I'm never coming back. I'd recommend the UPS Store on Del Amo and the 605, much friendlier staff who treat customers with respect and dignity. read more

I had difficulty with a return shipment for Amazon. The senior staffer/manager/owner was hostile and unable to focus on resolving the issue. I needed a large box to return a number of items with a single Amazon label. I put my items on the counter. Due to an initial misunderstanding, the staffer did not include eight smaller items when he filled and taped the box for shipping. When I asked him to add the missed items, he lectured me about Amazon returns and insisted that I could only include ones covered by the specific label. As I had explained, I understood Amazon protocols. I showed the staffer my printed copy of the Amazon's return order that listed items I wanted to add. He did not move to add them. I carried the box to a table, untaped the top, rearranged contents to include the additional items, and resealed the box for shipping with UPS tape I had to buy. read more

So disappointed in the system UPS has set up. I left specific instructions to text or call once arrived because I'm located in a gated community. Then three times in a row the "not-in" papers were left outside of the gated community. I tried to picked it up my package at the nearest UPS location but the UPS employee whom I spoke with informed me that it was being sent back to sender. If only UPS would encouraged their employees to follow specific instructions I would've received my package the first time instead of giving me the run around. read more

NEVER NEVER EVER going to this place again. The manager is this grumpy Korean guy named Jay. I'd never shipped with UPS before, so I asked him if I could drop off a package. He curtly replied "put it on the scale." I said... um but it's prepaid... And he scolded me, "I KNOW! I have to weigh it!" And I was so surprised at his rudeness. I didn't know he had to weigh it! I also had another poster tube I needed to ship and USPS was closed on Saturday. I asked him if he could tell me how much it would be to ship. He fiddled on the computer for a long time, but he seemed in a slightly better mood once he thought he'd make money off me. I gave it to him to ship UPS ground. I checked the tracking # the following friday and found out he had only PROCESSED the order Wednesday, and it left his place on THURSDAY! What was it doing there for so long?!??! I would rather wait the extra days to go to USPS and pay less and have good service/nice people. This guy is a total jerk and NOT a good rep of UPS. read more

Absolute worse customer service, the manager is a total idiot and he freaking cursed at me. He said the word f*** to me. Wth type of service is that?!?!? I was shocked. I had a package dropped off there as an access point from a customer service station and I showed up with my ID and they were trying to tell me that they didn't have my package. It was on the freaking counter right behind them. I had to call UPS and put them on speaker phone and then show them the UPS tracking website before they even partially believed me. I think I'm nice for giving this place two stars. Two stars, simply because things get done and they get done accurately, at least for the things I had to get done here. Now, let's get to the customer service thing that most reviewers' have mentioned. I must say that I agree with the majority on here that the older man (supposedly the owner?) doesn't have customer service skills. There is no hello. The way he responds to questions isn't all that nice either. I'm not sure why, but apparently one of the reviewers has it figured out, stating that we're ignorant and that he is simply just very old school Korean. Old school Korean? I'm sorry, but you can't expect people to be okay with what you consider to be old school Korean if they're not Korean, not familiar with what old school Korean is or aren't in Korea. The last thing is the key here and before people get into a huffy about me saying that, let me just say I've met many Korean owners/managers/employees who don't hold the same attitude/persona as this guy at UPS. If you're going to work with people, you're going to have to at least pretend to be a people person, from the stereotypical US perspective. If not, you're going to look bad under most people's eyes. Just because you're the boss/manager/owner doesn't mean you have the right to act as you please, even if you feel you're entitled to do so. I mean if you're going to give the vibe that your customers are a nuisance, why choose to work in a customer-oriented industry in the first place? P.S. My wife went in to drop off a box, it was slow, there was no one else in the store, the person working the counter gave her attitude and told her next time she needed to tape the box herself next time (we didn't have any tape handy and it's never been a problem in the past). He grudgingly accepted the package and taped it up. I went in, i had been waiting in the car, and asked him what the issue was. He stated they can't take the liability of taping boxes for customers. RUDEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!! AVOID THIS LOCATION!!!! Angry Korean man says 'what?' instead of Hello, how can I help you? I told him I had a return and walks over to one side of the counter and I proceed to follow him. Then he decides not to say anything and walk to the other end of the counter and gawks at me to come and he says, "Come over here! Put it on THIS scale." Confused and walk over and I proceed to follow his directions and put my return package on the scale and I mention to him that I have a return label, not knowing what he was doing. I also ask him if he had a label sleeve to put my return label onto my package, and he says, "Yeah, but next time seal your package!! I can't send the package open!" I told him that was going to be the next thing I ask if they could do since I didn't have any packing tape to seal my return. I didn't think this would be an issue since they are a company that specializes in SHIPPING!! He gives me a snarky response like I offended him in anyway and says, "I process over 200 packages a day!! I know how to mail this package and you need to seal it next time!!". Brought in an Amazon return. Guy tells me to get an envelope behind me to stick the item inside. I grab one. He prints out a label and sticks it on the envelope. As Im about to leave he tells me I owe $1.77. I ask for what and he says its for the envelope. I let him know he NEVER said I would have to purchase it, NOR did he let me use the envelope I HAD MYSELF. I inform him he should NOT be charging customers for things they did NOT choose to purchase. By then he had already affixed the label and removed the sticky tape on the envelope from HIS store so it was "used". I again told him it was discourteous to tell a customer to grab an item and then charge them for it without giving them the option of purchasing it. No apologies. No explanations. Nothing. I should have refused to pay, ripped off HIS envelope and used mine, but there was a line behind me so I COURTEOUSLY left but wanted to share with others so you don't get charged when you HAVE YOUR OWN ENVELOPE. read more

As I entered, a older Korean guy is at the counter. I feel the rudeness coming off his person and received no greeting. Anyways I ignore it and tell him I need to send this package out but need a small box. He said, ok and takes one step then turns around and say its going to he $6.00 for the box. Owner will bill you for breathing if he could. Even though I had a pre-paid bar code from manufacturer, he would not scan. Told me to use computer to print on my own. When I printed he charged me $2 per 5mins to use computer and $.20 per page. After that I had to pay my own packaging. When I told him manufacturer tells me in website to just drop off, he said I am not a UPS store. He replies with one or two words and it's hard to understand. I'm new here to this city and state and customer service is NOT a priority here....at least not with the older guy who also does the notary. I've used their fax services 3 times, no problem with the young guys. When I went there to get my documents notarized, the older man was called out by one of the young guys and he never even looked at me, grabbed his notary book & nearly slammed it on the counter to write down my info off of my DL. (the younger guy instructed me that I will need to have my DL out.) I thought to myself, "wow. no hi, welcome or whatever. He either doesn't speak English or is in a bad mood.) I said nothing & waited patiently. After giving my thumbprint, the older man who seem like he was rushing writing my name & address down, INCORRECTLY wrote on the affidavit the reason for the notary. When I pointed out that it was incorrect & tried to show him carefully that my documents are 7 pages long & the correct topic would be found above the continuing page, he CUTS ME OFF and INSISTS that he's correct. Oh, he DOES speak English. This banter went on back & forth when I finally stated that I will just go somewhere else, he shouts, "okay! okay!" and then writes up a new affidavit CORRECTLY. Seriously? You argue with your customers??? When he stubbornly refuses to stamp MY DOCUMENTS & instead states that his copy of the affidavit is sufficient enough, I had an uncomfortable feeling & contacted the Board that I was sending my documents to right in front of him to check if that would be acceptable. Afterall, I'm not going to waste $131 to submit my documents & it being rejected because this old guy thinks it was unnecessary to notarize on the dotted line of my docs & instead, use a separate affidavit of his. Ready for more? When I told him I will need to wait until I heard back from the Board & wait for their answer & will have to return, he just shouts, "OKAY! I CANCEL!! SEE???" and RIPS the affidavit twice & throws it down! What???? Is he crazy??? I'm NOT ever going back for ANY services. This isn't 'OLD SCHOOL', this is 'PLAIN RUDE'!!! read more

This UPS store is much better now. Not only do they have a new owner but they've also added extra services like shredding , USPS shipping and stamps. Their prices are very competitive.
