I've used many UPS stores with my work, having a new business, this store and its staff have been invaluable to to getting it off the ground seamlessly. They are by FAR, the best store in the area. Toni and Paul are always there to help, they get customers through quickly, allowing every trip to be a quick drop and go. On those rare times that I have a few extra minutes, they often provide a quick laugh or a brief conversation, that tends to take the edge off of my day. If you close to the area, and have packages to drop off, this location is highly recommended, and is always my first choice. read more

Now this is customer service! I had such an unpleasant experience at the UPS store in Colonial Heights that I considered just driving to Richmond and returning the equipment as instructed by the colonial heights location. Thankfully I chose to come to The UPS Store in Chester also instructed to do so by the colonial heights location. They told me although they were experiencing a similar issue with their system not working they found if they rebooted the system it worked just fine. I must say that I was impressed with this UPS Store. The customer service was really good and I was helped in a timely fashion compared to other locations that I've been to. I had to send an item back that I ordered online and I had gotten a pre-paid label. The UPS employee was very helpful and friendly and she was a trainee, but you wouldn't have known. I am glad that soon you'll be able to do more than just get passport photos and fingerprinting done, soon enough I was told in the next couple months that you can do the whole passport process through UPS which would be great! Only downside of this location is the parking lot being in such a busy shopping center, far warning be cautious. read more

This location has the most helpful employees out of any of the local UPS stores I've been in. There's never a wait, the employees greet you when you walk in, and they will tape your package/package your stuff more safely without complaining or charging you (unlike USPS). read more

I had to exchange a depth finder and Hummingbird sent it UPS. And I needed to return my defective unit. So this store is close by so I decided I'd sent it by the same carrier I received by. I put my old unit it the same box the new one arrived in. I then taped it up and marked out all the old shipping info. Rolled in the store and explained what needed to be done. The lady behind the counter printed a new shipping label and affixed to the box. I was in and out of this store in less then 5 minutes, now that is quick and painless. As a college student, I had no idea what to expect when shipping for the first time. I had an large art piece to ship and Tammy was so nice while helping me. She thoroughly explained everything (even after each time I asked her to repeat things that I didn't understand) and she tried getting me the most cost efficient deal. She took great care of me and displayed wonderful customer service at the end of I'm sure a very long work day, might I add. Wildly unfriendly staff at this location. I had to drop off a package and was unsure of the tape on it. I asked for it to be secured with tape and got a loud irritated "We will have to charge you for that". Seriously? Well welcome to the Chester UPS store I guess. He charges a buck for a strip of tape. Sorry Mr Owner, I just moved and 36 rolls of packing tape was 24$. Its a cost of doing business. UPS can do pickups from our office so I will just go ahead and let them come on by. I have dealt with Fed-Ex on puddledock and they will wrap a box in tape at no charge as will the UPS store in Colonial Heights. It seems the one at Breckenridge cant make enough to spare tape. Maybe too many ladies at the tanning salon passed by that day but the attitude was just foul. read more

Love this place for ALL of my shipping and packing needs. I pick up my monthly delivery of wine from the VA Wine Club each month. I get the email notice the night before and the lady I always speak with each time is quick to call me first thing the next morning. I wish I knew her name but she has also helped pack and repack Christmas packages this past year that probably would not have made it in one piece without her help. Kaci Dee is the prime example of EXCEPTIONAL customer service! I spoke with her prior to arriving at the store to confirm that what I needed was available at this location, she was very pleasant and informative. When I arrived, she greeted me with a smile, remembered what I needed and gave instructions as to how to get started. While I was able to get things going on my own, she "saved" MY DAY by assisting me in seeing it through with no problem. All the while keeping her other customers needs a priority as well. I was not pleased with this ups store. The manager and store owner were rude and they have a price increase from the post office of almost 20% and you would be better off just printing a label from ups.com at home and dropping your package off. Make sure you tape it though because this store charges a dollar for a strip of tape! read more
