Great experience. Staff went and beyond with customer service for a lamination project. Very quick to respond to emails.

Fun Fact: The store carries cute Cleveland Heights totes perfect for residents and tourists…read more I always wanted to stop by Olie's Gift Shop, and finally did on a slow Sunday. It's every woodland fairy's dream, there are so many gorgeous nature inspired accessories, home goods, purses, and toys. The store is a perfect destination for high-quality one-of-a-kind gifts where you can buy a unique item, a card, some chocolate, quirky socks, and even fabric flowers. It's one of those spots that feels like a hidden gem. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with that cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay and look around longer than you planned. I only planned to stop in for a few minutes but wandered forever. The shop is small but packed with personality. There were shelves full of quirky, thoughtful, and often hilarious gifts--everything from locally made candles and clever greeting cards to colorful mugs and Cleveland-themed merch. You can find beauty products, stickers, pins, home goods, puzzles, knit socks, like everything. It felt like every corner had something fun to discover, and I ended up grabbing a cute velvet makeup bag (great value, only $18). One of the coolest parts is that it also doubles as a shipping center in case you'll want to send something to your loved one. I chatted with the owner while checking out, and found her to be very friendly and genuine. It had that community feel--like a place people come to not just shop, but connect. Overall, Olie's is the kind of neighborhood shop I wish every community had: fun, useful, local, and full of heart. I'll definitely be back for greeting cards and gifts. Parking note: You can find street parking in the area or park in two nearby lots off Lee Road.

I stopped in to get a document notarized. Jason the notary is in most mornings, though call to see if he is in before stopping by in the evening. This quaint little store has a gift for even the toughest person to purchase for. They also handle shipping matters as well. Olie's is a one stop shop in the neighborhood. Cleveland Heights is lucky to have them. Stop in to grab a gift for your loved ones or a gift for yourself.

Every time I order prints, I pay extra to have the white borders cut off because it's a service THEY offer. The staff was rude about it from the beginning. First, they told me to wait 5 minutes, which I had no problem doing. Then after I had already paid for the service, they came back and told me they "couldn't do it because they were busy." Meanwhile, there were only two customers in the store, including me. Everyone has to wait their turn, and customer services should be completed in order. If you offer and charge for a service, you should follow through on it instead of making excuses after payment.

I had a wonderful experience here over a month ago (on Jan. 4th). I drove straight here after work…read more I went to scan, make copies, and mail an important document (a big application). The staff person (I forgot her name) was very helpful in scanning my docs for me and saving it unto my flash drive. I had first logged unto the computer to scan my docs (to email it to myself) but the scanner next to the computer only scanned documents one-by-one which would have taken me the whole night to scan. So I was very happy when the FedEx worker helped me scan them for free. Once my whole packet was ready to mail, I placed them in the FedEx envelope and choose a mailing option. My package could have arrived the next day if I wanted it too but I choose 4 day shipping instead. I got a receipt with a tracking number and I was set. Service here is great so I will definitely be back. P.S. If you use their computers, know what you want to do and don't waste time. They charge by the minute I believe.

There was no follow through though on the employee's part; I was just pointed in a direction of the store. I didn't see what I wanted so I had to find a second employee. They ended up not having the model of what I needed, but the second employee offered to order it online. The store was neat and clean though slightly empty and picked over. There were only a few other customers so shopping was a quiet and uninterrupted experience. Check out was fast. The computers are finally updated so the cashier can scan your rewards card and any coupons you have right off your phone. An e-receipt completes the process completely paper free. Order online pick-up in store I tried the order online and pick-up in store feature the other day. I ordered something at 7p and had an email that I could go pick it up by 8p so the promise of ready in an hour was kept. Once in store though, the cashier checked the shelves where online orders are stored and didn't see my order. The manager and an employee checking in the back later it was found the cashier just didn't look well enough the first time. Therefore, unless you have an online only promo, are worried the item you want will sell out, or need a ton of items, it may be faster to just go into the store and get what you want off the shelf yourself...

Probably because the USPS desk also located within the Thwing Center is always staffed with the most uninspired, grouchy people (and takes only cash...). I've gotten different people each time I go, and each time I'm surprised at how friendly and helpful they were. The first time, when I was trying to ship something back to a company, they did what they could to contact the company reps and FedEx coordinating center to help resolve my issue. I also got a textbook chopped and spiral bound from them, and this was absolutely one of the most positive encounters I've had with a staff member. Heather was charming, made my experience feel personal, and also gave me parking tips since this is by no means the easiest place to simply drop in on when curbside parking is full. PRO TIP: Park in the underground Severance Garage and your first 30 min are free. Take the stairs marked for Thwing Center up and you'll emerge just a few yards from the side entrance of Thwing! This center is small and might not have all the bells and whistles, but its great at what it does do. Don't forget to ask about your 10% Case student discount!
