Sweet folks running it but incompetent. I had them do my passport photos for an urgent trip. The agency declined them - were wrong size. When I came back to the store, I expected an apology and a corrected set of pictures. Instead, i got a lecture from the lady about how the passport agency was wrong and an offer to charge me for the new set of photos. I thought that was really weird customer service - went to Fedex next door and got great service there. Too bad. read more

Dena was extremely helpful even though the driver was a jerk (he had told me the package wouldn't get out on time, and that I should just DRIVE myself to drop it off...). Dena told me he was completely lying and helped me get the time sensitive package out on time, and even helped me put an ATTN on the package after the package had already shipped out. Tried to dropped off an amazon return package but didn't tape the shipping label on the box, the clerk bluntly told me what I should have done before dropping it off, that's fine as there were instructions I failed to follow. But then she also said I am not doing any business at her store and only visiting as a convenient. Pretty much telling me if I don't actually pay any money, don't come by and waste her time. She was not happy to have to help me, so I left with my package super mad without dropping it off. Took it to another store, the clerk at this other store greeted me with a smile. I wanted to see if I would be told the same thing by this clerk for not properly taping the shipping label before dropping it off so I handed the box and the shipping label separately, sort of expecting to be told pretty much how I failed to follow instructions. but no, this clerk helped me to affix the shipping label exactly like UPS would do, as well as printed a receipt for me, all with a smile. Of course, next time when I do need to "do business" at UPS, I will not be coming to this store in Cupertino. read more

Owner lady just told me that it was an 'abuse of the system' to print labels at home to return to Amazon or any other vendor who actually chooses to use UPS as their preferred carrier for customer returns. Is she nuts??!! Her real issue is that she doesn't make money on UPS drop offs where customers have pre-printed labels and packaged the items themselves. Terrible customer service every time I go in... she doesn't speak unless you are buying something or putting money directly into her register, but hey... that's her issue-- not mine. Go at your own risk, and be prepared for a mouthful of snarky remarks, if you ever dare to say something or ask a question. Why do I keeping dropping off here you ask?? It's close, and I quickly drop off, saying nothing, and go on my merry way-she can deal with the task of owning a UPS store and being frustrated that she can't dictate who comes in and for what all by herself. read more

I dont know why my original review got removed but I am reposting it again and wanted to add an additional comment. I went back a little while ago and still same angry older lady there...the owner always acted unfriendly whenever I dropped off a prepaid package. She doesn't understand the American concept of "customer service" with a smile or the word "Thank You!" I found that she acts all moody everytime someone drops off a prepaid package. If you ask for anything extra like an envelope pouch (which UPS provides for free), she gives you a major attitude! She's ONLY nice if you bring an UNPAID package and pay for the hiked up shipping fee that UPS stores charge. I thought the UPS store owners still get paid for the prepaid packages but probably not much. The UPS driver picking up the packages was even annoyed by her nagging...LOL So if you are looking for any good customer service, avoid this place! PS: Fed Ex/ Kinkos is just around the corner by Starbucks and the staff there are nicer and cheaper. They are helpful and don't moan over any free supplies. I give them my service now. UPS should be happy to know that they lost a customer to Fed Ex due to a moody franchise owner. read more

I've been renting a mailbox from this store for over a year. I've always been getting good service and the store owners are very friendly and helpful. Complaints about pricing is what UPS charges, shouldn't be directed at the store - afterall Cupertino is expensive, you pay for the location. read more

Buyer beware man. These guys charged me double for shipping a 2 lb. package from Northern California to Southern California. Make sure to use the UPS Shipping calculator to get an estimate before you go to their store to use their services or, as others have suggested, print out your own UPS shipping labels online. I received a refund for the difference from the store today, after I contacted UPS corporate about the overcharge. Just b/c they smile doesn't mean they're honest. read more

This place is the worst. Let me start off by saying that I totally understand there are risks involved in the shipping/ mail process. That is something you accept as a customer. However, when something does go wrong, there should be adequate customer service to resolve the issue. I took a few documents in to get notarized and then overnighted to their final destination. They charge $10/paper to be notorized, and then it was an additional $61 to have an envelope with 3 sheets of paper get overnighted to Seattle. Long story short, the package did not arrive the next day which is what I paid for. This was frustrating, however I understand these things can happen. What was NOT okay was the TERRIBLE way this store handled it. They totally gave me the run around, and were absolutely not helpful in 1. Finding my lost package 2. Giving me my $61 back. They were very rude and inconsiderate to me as the customer. After 3 separate trips to their store, and about 3 more phone calls to try to get the issues resolved (not to mention 6 weeks later) I finally got a call from them saying "I could come pick up my refund check whenever". I do not understand why I had to physically drive back to the UPS store for the 4th time to pick up a check? It is a shipping store for Christ sake, I am sure they could have easily mailed it to me, or how about just credited my credit card the refund? Anyways, it was a miserable experience and I would recommend it to no one. I instead went to FedEx where my documents were sent up overnight without issue, and not to mention it was only $40 instead of $61! read more

The store staff is totally ridiculous. I came there to drop a return packet and wanted a receipt to prove that i did drop the packet at a UPS store. The reason I was doing that is it happened to me once that i dropped a packet at a ups store but the system never shown it was picked up by UPS later.... And i don't have any evidence that i indeed dropped it. From then on, I always asked for receipts from store. I never had problem in other store before. However, this guy first treated me like a idiot, and spent quite a lot of time talking why I don't need a receipt without listening to my explanation. Eventually when I insisted to get a receipt, he became rude and said: I just want to educate you to save papers..... OK. you can provide me a Email copy of your receipt. but apparently you can not do it!!! Then go upgrade your system. Stop treating people like idiots!!! Guys, stay aways from this store. I will never go again anyway. read more
