Probably the worst UPS store . They charge big-ticket for shipping and packaging items and are definitely a rip-off. A 10x16 envelope costs $5 , and $15 for notary and don't have any sense of customer service .Try avoiding at all cost if you can. read more

I was happy to see such terrible reviews from others about the customer service here. My partner went to get some fingerprints a couple weeks ago, and ended up being interrogated about his citizenship status by one of the men who worked there, who had a thick accent, so seemed a BIT hypocritical. Absolutely disgraceful. He demanded my partner show him US ID, which by the way, IS NOT A THING. You can be served in this country with a valid ID from ANY COUNTRY. I have visited this shop about 20 times over the last 5 years. ~60% of the time I drop off pre-paid packages, and the other ~40% I have something shipped, packed & shipped, or use their notary service (twice). I have always had good service from Dina and the other staff here. It is frustrating to be in line behind a customer with a complex task, or behind a customer who lengthens a simple task by repeatedly going through all the options, verbally ruminating on what option to choose, extensively sharing their opinions and frustrations and fears, etc. When I drop off a pre-paid package, I simply drop the package on the counter, smile, say hello and thank you to the clerk(s), and leave. On a couple rare occasions I have had a waiting customer glare at me for doing that, as if I were cheating. It's possible that one of those customers has left a negative Yelp review saying that the clerks take customers out-of-turn. I guess that is one way to vent frustration over having to wait in line behind another customer, but I don't think is fair to the shop or the team who works there. When I do drop-off pre-paid packages, I don't expect the shop to tape my packages. I don't think they receive any compensation for drop-offs. In any case, it is Ok with me for drop-off to mean drop-off. If you want to ship or pack & ship a package, or your want notary service, I have found Dina and the team in this shop to be competent and caring in getting it done for you. read more

I go to this store regularly to ship items and also get notary service. I have been very happy with the overall service. I think the ratings for this place are currently skewed unfairly to the negative side. Customers do not take the time to input good reviews because good experience is as memorable as a bad experience. read more

Make sure you know what you are signing up for! I opened a PO Box to help in relocating to the area. When I tried to submit a change of address form with the USPS, I learned that you cannot use a change-of-address OUT of this service, so I decided not to use this box. I had paid for the first 6 months in advance. After the first 6 months, I tried to close the box since I couldn't use it, but was told I had to pay the remaining balance (another $300). So I paid, and I waited for the year to end, and then forgot... I received an email from the owner months after the year ended saying I was late. I went back and turned in my key, and paid another $200. So, in total I paid $800 for a box I never used. The owner knew my issues, but preferred taking my money over providing a good customer experience. read more

I 100% agree on ZERO star. Too bad customer service and complete rip off for Notary service. I ended up paying $75 for 5 signatures. In fact, they asked me to get notary for the signatures in OCI application where it was no required as per check list. When I asked this, they told "You came here to get the service and we did not call you to come here". Vow. Then, I do not want to pay for the pages that do not need Notary and canceled the transaction couple of signatures after long conversation. I will NOT recommend this place for notary. read more

Total agree 0 star if possible. Went to drop off box with a label. Because don't have the exact weight so just put 1 lb. They will check anyway, and will charge for the exact weight. Packages got refused and I was told I had to reprint label showing the exact weight. I asked if I can leave the packages there first and went back with another label so I don't have to carry the packages twice. Got refused again. They should provide service to weigh the package and it will get into UPS system. I have my credit card info saved in my account. UPS will charge me once the package is in their service. read more

I went here even though I live in Los Gatos and usually use the Extremely friendly UPS store on Santa Cruz Ave near Safeway. I happened to be shopping at the Sprouts farmers market in Cupertino so when I saw the UPS store I said why not since I needed to get my package returned to Amazon. I walked in first and a man came in after me. The Indian (from India) lady didn't ask if I needed help she immediately said hello to the gentleman who came in after me and she handled his box first. As Rude as I thought this was I figured I'd just grin and bare it. My husband has Alzheimer's and I couldn't leave him waiting in the car for long. Anyway after she so rudely finished with the man she said what do u need? I felt like saying a cheeseburger with fries! Of course I had a box and needed it to be shipped. I told her that I've never used the Amazon service of returning this way. She very quickly said "well first u need tape you can purchase it the tape the box up." I still was grinning and baring until she refused to look the information up on her computer which is very easy to do. So I picked up my box and I will never set foot in that place again. Its really funny but my very good friend who I was telling about my experience there; she lives in Cupertino. She told me about how rude this lady was to her. She was there and nobody else was in the store. The Indian lady saw my friend but continued to do some packaging she was doing in the back. As soon as two Indian women came through the door the ups Indian lady helped them and never said anything to my friend who had had enough and walked out never to return. Everyone is always talking about just let's get along, well it goes both ways. Ups stores have a contractual obligation to perform certain things without charging. And I have already filed a formal complaint with UPS corporate. This is not right. Do another business if u cannot be honest and follow the rules read more

If you're looking for help, advice, customer service then try another store because this one in particular will not provide all this. Such rude people. I wanted to send a small item, was ready to check out ups, fedex and usps but since this was closest I went there. I wanted to enquire about the different sending options and figure out the best way. I asked about flat rate options- the guy ignored my question and said, "you're sending it through ups? fill out this form." I fill it out. By the way I stood there for about 10 minutes and there was literally one other person there who was looking at boxes. They were taking their sweet time and attended people who came after me, very unprofessional. They guy says it'll cost me 14 95 to send this puny item, and I again asked about a small box or flat rate. He still doesn't give me an answer. Says its the cheapest way. I laugh because I could just drive out 5 minutes farther and go to USPS to get a flat rate box for 5 bucks and get 10x better service. (which is what i did by the way.) He says it's okay we can send it anyway, in my envelope and I said absolutely not. It's electronic and I was uncomfortable with him pushing to send my stuff. Didn't give a crap about anything but getting my money so I left. P.S I decided to check out the Fedex Ship Center down the road. Excellent service, the guy immediately told me IT MAKES MORE SENSE TO SHIP WITH FLAT RATE AT USPS for such a small item, said clearly they don't have flat rate boxes that small, and that if i did put it through fedex it will be very expensive. Do not come here if you do not plan on A) buying ALL of your packaging, supplies, or postage here or B) spending 2-3x normal prices. If you refuse, you will be yelled at and insulted. I've attempted to ship items with this couple on three separate occasions (I was charged $100 to ship an iPad in October 2010), and had to physically run out of the store today. They refused to provide a UPS envelope to complement my prepaid shipping label, but after some convincing they finally gave one to me. However, the owner ripped the envelope out of my hand once they saw that I had more than just a few papers that I wanted to put in it. I adhered to UPS policy, but he started making up all sorts of random "official policies" so as to force me to buy a large box from them -- refusing to accept my package unless I did. (I was returning a defective iPhone case, so I didn't care about insurance and whatnot) He held on to my items while he and his wife continued to argue with me, so I had to reach over the counter and forcefully take my items back from them. All the while, they hurled insults at me and tried to further coerce me into buying their own services. I'm not exaggerating... this place is horrible. I dropped off a pre-paid package today to this UPS Store. It was taped up with a the label. Some guy right in front of me apparently dropped off a package too. After he dropped his off the mean old Indian lady behind the counter looks at me and says, "you too?" and I wasn't exactly sure what she was referring too so I just said, "I'm dropping off a package" and she says, "well drop it off then"..She just seemed really spiteful and maybe she just hate her job but she doesn't need to take it out on the customers read more

I was too lazy to drive to the post office and this place was close to my house, so I figured that I should give it a shot since they also provide US postal services. They weighed my package and told me that it would cost $18 to mail it via US Postal System. It seemed overprice, so I took my package back and decided to actually drive to the post office. Charged me 5 bucks more on the priority USPS shipping(She told me my small item can only be ship in a large flat rate box, but when i checked the medium box today at a usps location, it is plenty big for it to fit and the price difference is $5.00)... I was here at 6:30 last night and the doors were locked. The man inside refused to acknowledge me until a few more people showed up and we knocked on the door. He rudely said he was closed. The posted sign on the door said they close at 7pm. The man refused to help multiple people outside saying he wanted to leave at seven and that he "had been there all day" I desperately needed to send a package, he let me inside and then when i was going to pay he said they didnt take cards! That is a lie! So i left and didnt get to send my package. Do yourself a favor and just drive across town to the other UPS store. This one is AWFUL read more

This place is a rip-off! They wanted to charge me almost as twice as what it ended up costing me at another UPS store for a domestic shipping. I sensed something was wrong when the guy quoted me $36 dollars for shipping an insured box and the woman immediately cut-off saying that it would be more... $63!... I walked away and sent my package insured at another UPS store (Sunnyvale) for $36. Avoid this place if you can... they like to take advantage of customers. read more

I went in to buy a cardboard box at 4pm and it cost me $16 (30"x12"x12") Two hours later I realized I did not need it...so I brought it back untouched. They said they do not refund for this cardboard. This is not how to build a business in any community, especially if I was going to give them a lot of business in the future. The lady at the counter was very rude and kept accusing me of getting in the way of her "doing business" with my return boxes. The 5 stars must be written by the people that owns this franchise. The one stars are real customers. They are rude and overpriced. Charge $13 for 20 stamps. That is 65 cents per stamp. Postal office charge. When I asked why it is so much more, the man from the back walked up and chimed in with the other two women trying to gang up on me attitude. I assume that must be the father, mother and daughter team. While I was there, heard how the older woman talked to other customers that were there. Just rude. Don't waste your time and patronage other establishment that actually appreciate your business. I will drive out of my way just to avoid this place. read more

However afterwards I asked to use their paper trimmer and the clerk allowed me to do so. Sweet folks running it but incompetent. I had them do my passport photos for an urgent trip. The agency declined them - were wrong size. When I came back to the store, I expected an apology and a corrected set of pictures. Instead, i got a lecture from the lady about how the passport agency was wrong and an offer to charge me for the new set of photos. I thought that was really weird customer service - went to Fedex next door and got great service there. Too bad. read more

This place is run by an Indian couple who are simply rip off. They first give you a ridiculous quote which will be much more expensive than USPS, then they will say that USPS will not give tracking code etc etc. I had very bad experience with them for my international courier. It took more than 2 weeks , but still didn't reach destination. When I ask these people about the package, they gave me rude answers. They never co-operate. I will never go this place again in my life. Shame on them and their business. The name of the person who is running the business is Ken (As per him ?). Indian name will never be Ken. unfortunately there is no claim for delay in delivery. They charged me 50$ for the package to send to Bangalore, India. Same would cost in USPS about 12$. Please avoid this store. Please let me know if there is any forum to complain about their service and get my claim. read more

Tried to dropped off an amazon return package but didn't tape the shipping label on the box, the clerk bluntly told me what I should have done before dropping it off, that's fine as there were instructions I failed to follow. But then she also said I am not doing any business at her store and only visiting as a convenient. Pretty much telling me if I don't actually pay any money, don't come by and waste her time. She was not happy to have to help me, so I left with my package super mad without dropping it off. Took it to another store, the clerk at this other store greeted me with a smile. I wanted to see if I would be told the same thing by this clerk for not properly taping the shipping label before dropping it off so I handed the box and the shipping label separately, sort of expecting to be told pretty much how I failed to follow instructions. but no, this clerk helped me to affix the shipping label exactly like UPS would do, as well as printed a receipt for me, all with a smile. Of course, next time when I do need to "do business" at UPS, I will not be coming to this store in Cupertino. read more

Owner lady just told me that it was an 'abuse of the system' to print labels at home to return to Amazon or any other vendor who actually chooses to use UPS as their preferred carrier for customer returns. Is she nuts??!! Her real issue is that she doesn't make money on UPS drop offs where customers have pre-printed labels and packaged the items themselves. Terrible customer service every time I go in... she doesn't speak unless you are buying something or putting money directly into her register, but hey... that's her issue-- not mine. Go at your own risk, and be prepared for a mouthful of snarky remarks, if you ever dare to say something or ask a question. Why do I keeping dropping off here you ask??
