I visited UPS Store 2033 at 2805 E Oakland Park Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL, and the service I received was unacceptable.My business cards were not produced with the quality or professionalism expected. As a business owner, my printed materials represent my brand, and the final product did not meet the standard I was assured.During my visit, an employee, Mr. Jeremy, addressed me as "bro." I am not anyone's "bro." I am a paying customer and a professional, and I expect to be addressed by my name ANTHONY WILSON. Professional communication should be the baseline in any business environment. Additionally, I was unable to use my ARPP discount at the time of my deposit. Instead of applying my existing discount card, the store used their own discount. This is not the correct process and directly impacted my purchase.The combination of poor product quality, unprofessional communication, and mishandling of my discount is unacceptable. Do not open up a mailbox here!!! Management doubled down on poor policy. Been a customer for 10 years and Travel for a living. First, routinely increase fees and it's at a premium. Secondly, a new charge on any package size kept over a week? incur at a rate of $1 per day. For instance if I get an unsolicited small package (but slightly too big for box) from my employer and don't get to mailbox in a couple weeks or maybe couple months. That can cost me hundreds extra per year and out of my control. Im a customer that stayed loyal through the pandemic years. I travel for a living. this is the reason people rent a UPS mailbox. I've used quite a few UPS Stores including one down the Blvd where I had a mail box when I first moved here. If I still needed that, I'd have switched it to this store. Every time I've come here, I marvel that I've never been in and out of a UPS Store so quickly. Customer service is great. The service staff always smile and greet me, even if I'm the last customer of the day and they are ready to lock up. I'm also glad that Amazon dropped FedEx for UPS. Returns are a breeze. I don't even need to print and tape a shipping label. The guys just shoot an Amazon QR code from my mobile phone, a shipping label prints, and off I go. So convenient! The only caveat, which is not the fault of The UPS Store, is the lack of free parking spaces in front. Half the spaces are metered, the other half (usually full with workers in the area) are free. CVS management frowns on you trying to use their free backlot too. read more

Never thought I'd review a UPS store, but here I am! This specific location is right across where I work and recently, I've had to walk here to drop off boxes to get shipped. My brothers buy and sell shoes constantly and it is most convenient for me to just drop it off here when I am at work. The customer service is really second to none. They are quick, efficient, AND HELPFUL. They aren't trying to charge you for every little thing and insist on making sure the box is properly and securely packaged. I also accidentally ripped one of my shipping labels once and it was no issue as they just reprinted it with a sticker label. So much easier than my print out and tape method. They just make it the process of coming in and out as easy as it can be! I really love this location and easily my favorite because the staff here is awesome. I can say this with confidence because I've been to other UPS stores that are definitely not as helpful and nice as they try to charge you for things like using their tape and even a "service" charge for making them tape your box for you. So UPS stores are franchises. My company has an account (I generally use fed ex) so I had to use them for shipping a bunch of equipment. I brought all of it into the store. 3 trips to my car. The worker informed me that he could pack my items but that he could not use my account. In order to use my account I would have to go home and print a label. (Mind you I would then have no idea what size the boxes would be... so how could I print the label?) So I packed up all the equipment went home to print the label. Their website is completely useless for using an account number. I called customer service and they could help me either. I decided to just go to fed ex!!! read more

Went to drop off an Amazon return and when I arrived I found out that I had the wrong type of barcode to get a shipping label. The lady behind the counter pointed me to a computer where I could print a shipping label. Long story short When I went back to the counter I was charged $2.14 mostly for using the computer. Dear UPS, in January, 2023 your fax machine is set for June 2018. This may come as a surprise to you but for a host of legal and regulatory reasons, we need receipts that reflect when we sent faxes. Not some casual, don't give a "S" policy that doesn't bother setting the machines correctly. Oh, and thank you for charging me $23 for the last failed fax where you claimed the other end wasn't responding. I went home, used an online "free" fax service that charged me $1.99. The fax was successfully sent in less than 5 minutes. To anyone reading this, I live within walking distance of this place. A few years ago it was good, then went to ok, the last year it's been a mess. Do not trust them with anything more than an Amazon return or a simple mailing. read more

When I walked into UPS a couple weeks ago, I was not envisioning it being an interesting enough experience to warrant a Yelp review (yes yes, I know I said that about the Shell Gas station review last month, and I SWEAR I'm not typically the type of person to share all of the uninteresting details of monotonous errand running - don't judge!). Anyway, I learned a couple of useful things on this venture. I don't have a printer, so I went onto the UPS website and paid a few cents to have a label printed in store, for me. Pretty simple, and I was able to pick it up in the store just a few minutes later. The guy was super friendly when I came up to the desk, and as he was running to the back to grab my printed slip for me, I sliced open my box, intending to slip the packaging slip inside and reseal it. He comes back and says, "Great, you're all set." I sort of stare blankly for a second and respond, "Oh, I was just going to slip the packaging slip in, and then tape the shipping label on," to which he says, "I can just put everything in this [fancy laminated] label holder for you." Embarrassed, with scissors in hand, I say, "Oh...I already cut open the box." "No problem, I can reseal that for you! Did you want your tracking information?" "::suspicious:: Is it free?" "Yeah, definitely." ......"Thanks!......so....do you need anything else from me?" "Nope, we're good." I used to snicker at people who wasted their time with UPS. Why not just go to the post office? Wow! So awesome! Had to get some stuff printed for a big presentation. The store helped me out so much by printing everything and even building booklets for everyone. Full color, clear cover and a backing with this cool spiral binding. So happy they were able to help! And I even found out they have a graphic artist on staff to help with anything. read more

Finally heard back to hear that job would be late. Never been treated this way after 25 years of using multiple UPS locations. Do not use them. Short version of my review: Theft, Fraud and Misrepresentation. Not words to be thrown around, but having tried to work with Kelvin at UPS store 2033 on Oakland Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale for the last three months, I stand by these words. Judge for yourself: When you pay for something, and you get nothing, that's misrepresentation at best, maybe even theft. That's what happened to me when I paid some $300 for shipping insurance. When someone takes our money for a service, claims to have performed it, and then you find out they didn't, that sounds like fraud to me. After paying for the above mentioned insurance, I tried working with Kelvin for 3 months after my shipment arrived completely damaged. I sent him all the paper work. I called him more than 30 times in 3 months (I have all the call logged). I hardly ever got a call back. He never returned an email. But when I did get him on the phone, he kept telling me, "Don't worry, I'm working it. These things take time." By the second month, the story changed to "UPS tells me the check's in the mail." A few weeks after getting more of the same, I called UPS. Straight up, they told me "NO ONE FROM ANY UPS STORE HAS EVER FILED ANY CLAIM FOR YOUR SHIPMENT." And now, of course, it's been more than 90 days, so they won't consider any claim. Wow. BBB claim filed. Court litigation pending. This place is terrible. Kelvin's now working the Sunrise store (number 3200) as well. Beware. (Note to would be UPS freight shippers: though not written anywhere in your paperwork, UPS will not accept any claims for freight insurance from you, even though you bought UPS freight insurance" through the store. You are forced to plead with the UPS store to submit the claim on your behalf. You can tell how well that works. Shame on UPS.) read more

My package was going to be very expensive to ship (I could buy a new product rather than ship it). They suggested 'stuffing' it in a smaller box and saved me $20.
