Update - I got a response from the store manager. This reminded me to check on my Amazon return. My returns didn't get processed until it was escalated. This surfaced more issues since I didn't get a receipt for the tracking info when I sent out my returns at this site. Young girl working in the front, scans my items for return..she takes my item that's in the bag ALREADY sealed and asks if I'm going to purchase a bag? I asked her for what?! My return doesn't required that I return in a bag/box but I did it anyway! Then she tells me there a gap in the and I need to buy a bag..I told her that I didn't and that nothing would come out of the small gap..less than an inch gap! Are you kidding me! I told her to put tape on it if she feels like the gap is going cause an issue..then tells me I need to pay for "tape services"! WTF?!?! For a small piece of tape that's NOT needed...I walked out and couldn't believe how she was trying to sell me nonsense! No longer going here because of that girl. I'm quite surprised at the amount of reviews w/ negative ratings. I guess it's true what the general consensus is about retail: people will write and talk about negative interactions a heckuva lot more than positive ones. I have used this UPS Store for well over 3 years and for 98% of my Amazon returns. The only reason it's not 100% is because, in other instances, I was away from the area when I needed to return something. I have never had any issues dropping off items whether they were packaged or not, and Amazon has always credited me back. I have also used this store many times to have documents notarized, and it's never been an issue either. I think the key for any return, regardless of what location (UPS Store, Post Office, actual UPS location, etc..) you are dropping it off, is to just be prepared when you drop it off to have a seamless transaction. Of course, always ask for the receipt too. I know with Amazon returns you usually get the QR code emailed to you and use your phone w/ the QR code once you reach the counter. I like to actually print it out on paper and I attach it to the item that is being returned. Sometimes, depending on the UPS store, they may just leave it attached and other times they'll take it off and hand it back to you. I don't know, maybe that's just me, but I've never had issues at this store. Give them a try. They are a very busy store, but I think they're fantastic! read more

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!! I scheduled online for a notary service at this location this morning & I received an email confirmation from UPS at 9:10 a.m. of my appt set for today May 10, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. However, when I came in for my appointment at exactly 1:00 p.m., I was told that the person who does the notary left & was not aware of my scheduled appointment. They told me that I should have called to schedule instead of doing it online. I asked them why would they put up an online appointment scheduler if they don't honor it. They told me that they did not see my appointment. Then they told me to come back later this afternoon at around 3:00 or 4:00 p.m. I asked them if the person will be back around then, but they told me they're not sure. What kind of service is this???????? I just went to this location during my lunch break from work & that's the reason why I scheduled an appointment so not to take chances. However I did find myself unpleasantly disappointed when I went to their store yesterday a half hour after the opening posted hours of operation and the store was closed! No note or explanation which was disappointing and sent me to the next nearest store. This took place yesterday 09/10/2024 and I was there at 9:00 AM and the store was completely closed everything was locked lights were off. They overcharge for printing simple documents, and on top of that, when I had the lady print 2 documents, she printed one of the documents twice. I have had issues with the last two times I've used this store for Amazon returns. I used the no label option and both returns never showed as returned. I always keep the shipping return labels to prove I have on my end returned the item. Hi , I hope this manager remembers me .I believe she was an older Indian lady. I visited last week to print 5 pages. Now the kindly young assistant female helped me try to print from there computer. when she tried to print it , it accidentally came out to be 155. She then ran to the printer and canceled it. It printed at least 42 . (Thank god it isn't 155 because I would have to pay at least 70$ worth of the papers That I didn't even need) The manager then said that I had to pay alll those paper.I was questioning her why I need to pay that much when it was an accident and it wasn't my fault it printed that much , the assistant was just silent and couldn't do anything much which I know it's isn't her fault also, it was an accident . Who ever that assistant was, thank you , you're very kind. The manager was just not helpful. The manager keep saying once it's all printed I have to pay all the pages that was printed . We then re counted it and came out to be 42 instead of 155. I paid 20$ worth of that 42 page. The manager kept telling me she can't do anything about it and that I have to pay what ever I have printed.I wasn't frustrated at that time as I wanted to leave the place Bc I have other things to do. But since now I am free to write a review, I want to know if that's even necessary to have me pay for an accidental print? , I never had that experience else where in fremont or fedex. It seems that the manager didn't even try to help or excuse the fact there was a mistake but instead told me" I can give you a small discount" . This store has never had very good service; barely get acknowledged, employees are barely not-rude. But this last experience was the final straw-- I dropped off an Amazon return here back in MAY, and they never sent it in :) Unfortunately I did not save the receipt so I have had one h*ll of a time trying to explain to Amazon that my items were indeed returned on time. Surprisingly my return was returned to me today in late August. It was mailed it back to me in the box I used for my drop off, complete with my original order label AND the return label inside. So now I get to go through all the hoops to re-return my stuff. My takeaway: Always keep those damn receipts. Amazon CS is near useless without them. And stay away from this store. read more

Terrible attitude on the phone. The lady who picked up my phone call did not speak with an ounce of patience and was frankly pretty angry. When I requested that she not be angry I got a "We did not call you. You called us." No shit I called you. If you go into UPS and encounter attitude don't feed in to it or let it destroy who you are as a person. Give or leave an impression. We are going through a pandemic and people need a job. I walked into the UPS store and I greeted the associate. I informed her that I was there for a pick-up. She replied with "We need an ID." I answered "I'm not sure if it's under my name or my girlfriend's name but I do have the tracking information would that also help? She again replied with, "We need an ID." After getting off the phone with my girlfriend (who lives in LA) she confirmed that it was under my name so after the associate was done helping the other customers she asked me what my name was. I told her my name and as she was looking through the boxes she said "I don't even see it here." I told her that it should be under my name with a box that says Raymond Vineyards. After a few more seconds of looking harder, the box that she first took out was in fact the box I was there to pick up. As we were checking out she told me she the reason why they asked for ID. I told her I had no problem with showing her my ID but what I did have a problem with was the way she asked me. I told her I also work in customer service and that I didn't appreciate the tone that she asked for ID in. She began to argue with me and she told me that I wasn't even sure whose name it was under. I agreed yes that was true and I also gave her two names because my girlfriend ordered it but it was sent to me so it could've been under either of our names. I told her once again, I completely understand company policy but it wasn't the fact that I had to show my ID, it was the way that it was asked. As she finished check out she finally apologized angrily and I asked her for her name. She said her name was Kanan and she was asking me if I was going to complain about her. After I said I might, she proceeded to call me rude and questioned what customer service company I work for. I told her I don't have to give her that information and as I was already out the door I can hear her yelling "DO YOU WANT MY BUSINESS CARD?'" The take away, some coaching definitely needs to be done. Again, showing ID, I had no problem with, but the way that she asked it and the rest of our interaction certainly created a negative customer experience. Her attitude and approach needs help. If I could give this establishment a less than 1 star review I would. I had a mailbox here for six months and everything was fine until a package was delivered to the store but was never given to me. When I retired to the store asking about the package they at first denied it had arrived. I gave them the tracking number and they looked it up and found that the package was received but the required paperwork was not filled out. They told me they would investigate the incident and get back to me. After several weeks of no contact from the business I emailed inquiring about the investigation only to find that the investigation had never occurred because I did not provide the information required and they assumed I had found the package. They insisted they contacted me but they never did. They also said I had signed for the package. I went to the store and requested to see the paperwork that showed I had sighted for the package and they admitted they did not have the paperwork. While arguing with the store owner a gentleman came in who they knew and offered to assault me for the store owner and she nodded. He pushed me to the floor, when I got up he then threw me to the floor again, the third time I tried to get up he punched me in the left side of my face. The owners called the police lied to the police about the whole incident and told the police to prevent me from coming to the store. The police are investigating but the person who assaulted me was long gone by the time they arrived. Now I have to sue in small claims court to get my money back. read more

Went here before to have my LiveScan. The lady owner doesn't seem to know what she's doing. I warned her before that my hands sweat crazy when you put in lotion, which she did and they all began sweating non-stop it's embarrassing. On top of that, she seemed iritated. She is rushing on me and says that normally her other LiveScans are only 5 mins. I was there for only 10-15 mins, would that take too much of her time for the price they have? The readings are not good and she's the one asking me, what do I think, should she send those prints already, etc. I told her she's the one who does LiveScan and she knows, she answered back telling me that I am the one asking for the LiveScan so it's my decision. I printed a label that was provided by the company I was returning my item to, dropped off the item to this UPS store location and made sure to hand it to an employee, received a printed drop off receipt. Four days later the company informed me that the box arrived but it was empty. I called the UPS store and asked them to look into it, they said take it up with customer service. I asked them to REPRINT the drop off receipt that they had already done before, and she said no and that I should take it up with customer service. Terrible customer service, not reliable unless you want to lose your money and deal with a drawn out process via customer service. Came in to print out some paperwork and do a live scan. I was greeted by Mimi and she helped me print out my paperwork and also did my live scan. She was so patient with me because I had to email everything separately and it took awhile, while my newborn was being fussy. She even tried to comfort him by talking to him. The live scan took about 10 minutes because my fingers were so sweaty for the machine to read, but she was very patient and helpful. She never rushed me even when she had customers. My wife and I went here on Saturday. My wife had some items shipped to her father in Arizona. I wasn't impressed at first. The line almost reached the door, but there was only 1 employee (she was friendly and quite professional). After a few minutes, though, another one emerged from the back. Hours: Mon-Fri 9 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sat 9 a.m.-5 p.m. UPS AIR PICKUP TIMES: Mon-Fri 5 p.m. Sat 2 p.m. UPS GROUND PICKUP TIMES: Mon-Fri 5 p.m. Envelopes can be found near the entrance on the right. Other supplies such as staplers are located in the back on the left. The supplies are nicely arranged, but there could be a wider variety (stapler removers, for example, aren't sold). My wife's items were placed in a 14" x 14" x 14" box (for some reason, my wife tried to shove me inside the box, but I wouldn't fit- she was pretty bummed). Her total was $23.70. I cringed (I guess my father-in-law was worth it, but shit), but my wife expected to pay more. The receipt doesn't break things down (my wife isn't sure if she was charged for something the employee did). The store is nice and clean, but it's not very big. There's not much counter space (the small counter that my wife and I used to arrange things was suddenly taken over by some woman). There are about 300 mailboxes here. Most of them are small, but there are at least 16 large ones. My wife received great service. Although it was busy here, we were in and out within 15 minutes. My father-in-law received the package on Wednesday (the employee indicated that this would be the case). He was very happy (he needed some cheering up because he just had hernia surgery). Went in today around 11am to do a live scan. The whole process was about 17 minutes! It was fast, efficient and all of the staff were very personable and helpful. For those who need to do the live scan, make sure to bring the form and a valid photo ID. For those who have cold hands like me, try to warm them up or rub them together before hand! If you can't get it warm, they have a liquid you can rub on your finger tips to get proper readings. Thanks to Pandit and the crew for helping me today! Kanan and Roger are the new owners of this location and they were the most professional staff I have experienced at this store. Their work ethic and customer service is a welcome change and I am looking forward to doing future business with them and the value they will add to Hayward. Yesterday I visited this UPS location to get two documents notarized. Keep in mind this was November 23rd, the day before Thanksgiving. Prior to visiting this location I stopped by a UPS store in Castro Valley that advertised they do notary services but the woman working there gave me excuses "My notary license expired and I'm no renewing it. The other girl's license expired yesterday ..." blah, blah, blah. Excuses. Next I visited a UPS store in San Leandro in the Green House shopping center. Prior to arriving I checked if they were open. They were advertised to be open until 7:00pm-it was 6:02pm when I checked. When I arrived at 6:13pm the store was closed. The door explicitly advertised their closing time was 7:00pm despite the holiday hours. I then went to the UPS store on 1179 W. A Street and the rest is history.
