After reading all the terrible reviews, I am not surprised with the low ratings of this establishment, I wish I could give this "business" more negative stars. This was absolutely THE WORST experience I've ever had with ANY business. The owner and her staff are incompetent, the owner kanan IS VERY, VERY rude (she has an atrociously bad attitude), extremely inconsiderate, clueless, and 100% unprofessional. The Indian lady that works there is not very friendly. She will first ask you if you want to ship it next day or 2 day and if you don't ask how much she will not tell you the prices and then you the price will smack you in the face. Male sure you ask for pricing. I don't trust this place to say the least. Also, you will notice that all shipping boxes and envelopes will not have any pricing. Convenient location in the target shopping center! I usually come here to do my amazon returns if I ever need to. I just print out the label, tape it on, and take it in to these people. Usually around 11am or 12 there is no line so you can drop off and go super quickly. The truck comes to pick up the packages everyday in the afternoon and my item gets received within 2 days. 4 stars because these people have no customer service skills. I usually use this location when dropping off Amazon returns. I have used Amazon for many years and I know how to read a return label. i.e. I know when I am responsible for boxing an item or not. Because I have done returns in the past I know the drill to show my QR code and hand my item. I tried doing that today and before the girl at the counter scanned my code she started telling me I couldn't drop off my return because it wasn't boxed. I told her that this return did not require it. She said that ups didn't accept items without boxing prior to drop-offs, which I know it's not true as I have dropped off items in the past with out prior packaging. She started to argue and her manager stepped in. I showed the manager the instructions from Amazon and that's when they decided to accept my drop-off after it stated that "no box or label required". Then the girl had the nerve to say, "I don't want to argue" when there was no need had she just scanned the code I showed her before she assumed I didn't know what I was doing. I'm not sure if this girl was having an off day or not, but it did not feel like a welcoming environment. read more

Poor customer service. We received notice that our package had been delivered to this store. We went there and they told us they didn't have our package and basically blew us off and didn't even try and help find out why we were getting conflicting information and offer what they could do to help. We spoke with a young male and a female who seemed annoyed by our questions and just wanted us to go away. read more

I usually have no problems or issues with this location (get in, get out) but the lady working there was kind of rude when I dropped off a package the other day. No smile on her face, arms crossed. Usually the guy that works there (very nice by the way) would greet me, tape up my box and put the label on for me. The lady helped me this time because the guy was busy. She slid over the plastic thing that holds the label over to me in a stand offish manner and I had to put it in myself. Then she proceeds to put the label on (all wrinkled might I add) prior to closing up the box. I don't know if she was trying to tape the box close with the label or something but then she finally puts tape over the label and closes the box.. it was a sloppy job and the demeanor of the woman wasn't welcoming. I would give 0 stars if I could. There were flies flying around the front of the store. And the customer service lady I worked with today was so unprofessional. Her name tag said "Cita". She was sucking on a lollipop while being short with customers and another lady had her feet up in the back while the phone kept ringing. "Cita" then went and joined the girl in the back and put her feet up after she said she couldn't take my package. I took my package to the UPS Store on Lewelling and they took the package with no problem. They were friendly and professional and the shop was nice and clean. read more

The only star I give this place is for location. They are super rude! I came in to do an amazon return and the lady acted like she didn't want to be there! She kept saying "what" in a super rude tone. When I have her my box, she said "there's no tape on it" in her impolite manner. I responded that there was no tape on it when I received it and I was returning it as it was delivered. She shook her head and sucked her teeth and finished processing my 2 returns. As I am leaving she says " you don't need to have an attitude; you're supposed to tape the box!" I returned to the counter and asked her to repeat herself. She did and added that I should read the return instructions! I responded that I wasn't sure where she received her customer service training and I wasn't questioning the validity of whether i was supposed to have tape, but the manner in which she spoke to me, the CUSTOMER, was unprofessional and discourteous and I would be certain to let amazon and yelp know! I went here to get my Livescan fingerprint right after I pass my insurance and Kanan assisted me, she was very impatient and rude but I didn't mind. I'm not someone that complains about things easily as long as you get the job done, that's good enough for me. A month after, I got an email that I need to redo it because it how it was processed was incorrectly titled and the fingerprints aren't clear enough so I have to drive all the way from Milpitas to Hayward because when I called, branches close to me explained that other UPS stores have different owners and they won't be able to accommodate me. When I got there Kanan was defensive and said she only put what I said it was for and it really was for Life Only Insurance which is correct but on the form that I gave her on the section that says for Live Scan Technician it shows exactly what she needs to provide on the information, apparently she didn't read it so I just said that's fine let's just redo it and I'll be on my way out. After everything, Kanan told me she will charge me $35 and when I asked why would I get charged again when it specifically says on my email from CA Insurance I shouldn't get charged of anything I even called them about this and told them my experience about this store which they clarified that I should be able to redo it without additional cost and that they are not supposed to ask what my livescan is for for my privacy. EVERYTHING THEY NEED TO KNOW IS ON THE FORM. Also, does it make sense that because your service THAT I PAID FOR didn't go through, it was only right to redo it for your customer to make sure it is done correctly. When I was getting upset, Kanan said she won't charge me anymore and she keeps saying, arguing is a better word that I NEED TO KNOW WHAT JOB IM APPLYING FOR because she only put what I said it was for AND ADDED "I CAN STILL CHARGE YOU, YOU KNOW?!" Wow! I just calmed myself because honestly, there are people who does not have manners at all. It's so no worth it. I just said thank you to the other lady that works there (who's very nice and accommodating I wish I got her name) and left. If you need livescan, better off finding another place who has people who actually knows what they're doing. It's one thing that this place doesn't give good customer service but being downright rude will make you lose business. read more

I looked at a variety of places online and most had bad reviews. I tried to use a big box office supply store's shipping center, but they wanted me to enter all the data on their slow system. I called this UPS store and they were not busy. They entered everything and had me done in 10 minutes! The guy working there was nice, but it doesn't seem right that he was the only one working when the line was ridiculously long (it is the holiday season after all). If you need to get anything printed, DO NOT use the computer here (unless you want a taste of the good ole days of dial-up). If you use the computer, count on racking up more minutes than you intend to. Not worth it at all if you only need to print out one or two things. I've been 3 times and the staff is always friendly (and funny). The most recent time I was shipping an heirloom cradle to Washington. They understood that is was very important to my family and took care in packing if (worth the extra $ to have them pack it in this case) and even followed up after the delivery date to ensure it arrived in good condition. read more

This UPS store has the kindest and most helpful staff I'm come to find. I'd like to add that I've used 3 other UPS store locations throughout the years, and I've never had a bad experience. All the locations have always been very helpful and attentive. This location, which I'm currently using and have been using for just over a year is exceptional! The owner especially! All of the staff I've encountered juggle all of their customers very well, giving attention to all of us no matter how busy! I've made it to the location just past closing and the owner has waited the extra 5 min or so for me each time. She's wonderful!! I try to not do this as I know it must be inconvenient for her, but the fact she's done it says a lot about her integrity and her professionalism. I highly recommend this place for personal and business needs. The communication with the store regarding important packages or concerns you bring up cannot be beat. Well I had to go here for a fingerprinting service as the final step in my background check for a new position I'm taking. The convenience of having UPS stores for such services is awesome. Sadly the clerk is extremely rude and humorously condescending in her treatment of customers, which is hardly encouraging as I consider getting a mailbox with the company after an excellent experience with UPS stores in Miami. Unlike the West Coast, Miami is notoriously bad in regards to customer service, yet the UPS store was the one store where the owner was serious about insuring loyalty through excellent service from each clerk. Instead, I would rather get one elsewhere if it means I am not treated poorly by some girl who has yet to get over her high school bubblegum attitude. Politeness is not much yo ask for in customer service, I don't expect much but hiring employees with such attitudes makes it clear the owner doesn't care very much either and so I will spend my money elsewhere. If you have a temper avoid this place, the clerk is rude enough to incite rage in even patient people. The other girl, who gave the fingerprinting service, was kind and considerate. Her equipment was not very good but she made due and all was well. If she was the sum total of my experience I would be more likely to return but sadly it was already spoiled by the childish clerk who guaranteed that I will never spend money at this location. read more

I never have to worry about my shipment when it's in their hands. They are professional and just all around wonderful people. I wish every store I went to had them working there. If I could rate this UPS store at 1179 W A st. Hayward CA, zero stars I would....I got a P.O Box with them, and i would often find other peoples mail in my box. If you are thinking about giving any business to them, go somewhere else, they dont deserve any monetary compensation...they treated me like they didnt need my buisness. Unfortunately I paid them $180 for 6 months in advance...the girls they have working there are to young and unexperienced and dont have any critical thinking skills to help the customers...but I don't blame them for there poor skills since the manager who handles the mail, has poor customer service skills himself. I called and had a complaint about forwarding my mail, I just needed guidance on how to handle it, since the USPS sent me a letter stating they could not do a change of address from a business (UPS) to a residential address. I asked how do other people forward there mail when they want to cancel the P.O box? He was gonna charge me to forward my mail to myself, basically a whole lot of run around....so if you have the same problem it will take the manager 3 weeks to get back to you with a response....I eventually had to call 1800 customer service UPS and file a complaint against the store since they represent UPS very poorly....do yourself and others in our community a favor a dont support this store with your hard earned money...Go to the UPS Store in Bayfaif ther women who work there are experienced and hard working. read more

Uggh! I'm usually a patient person who sees the best even in the worst places...but I've never been so pissed by a clerk in a business before! The girl who was doing the LiveScans in this location was so full of herself and very condescending. Before I went to this location to have my LiveScan done so I could acquire a copy of my own criminal record from the DOJ for my own review and records, I have done my homework and filled out the necessary form. I've filled up the parts that the DOJ told me to fill up based on a "personal" request to acquire a copy of my own criminal record. Then I went to this location and the girl who operates the LiveScan machine insisted that my form is incomplete without understanding that I'm not an agency requesting for this service. The way she talked was very rude and as if she knows everything. What's worse is she gives you that smirk that suggests she thinks you're stupid. So I left the place and made more calls to the DOJ to confirm that my form was complete, and three DOJ employees did confirm it! I went to another LiveScan location and they processed my fingerprinting with no problem whatsoever. They just lost a $55 transaction that would have been so simple and quick! read more

There is a logo for DHL service point inside the store. But when i bought in the parcel which is paid by the seller, they dont accept it and no labels print out nothing. This was the third time shipping out DHL this month thru different stores and this was the only store that was so unprofessional and lousy. read more
