Let me first say that I dread going to UPS because of the long lines that barely move and the rude customer service at the other UPS store on Alvarado Blvd. I'm SO GLAD this location opened up on whipple. The location is convienent, the staff is nice, and there are no wait times. I can't be happier. I have gone in here twice so far for an Amazon return and to get some papers notarized and JP has helped me both times and is very professional and kind. I can't recommend this place enough. He also mentioned he has another UPS location in Oakland so let's support his business! read more

UPS sent me an email yesterday 9:59am saying my package is ready to pickup at the location. I arrived at this UPS store around 10:35am and gave the pickup notice as well as showing my ID to the female employee. She enter some info on the terminal and told me the package is not at the store yet but I showed her the email stating it arrived at the store already and the tracking info is showing the same. I asked her to double check and help locate the package but she only gave me an 800 number to call. I stayed inside the store and called the 800 number she gave me. After a long wait and talked to a poor customer service who told me he didn't know where's the package and asked me to contact the sender of the package. I then asked to talk to the manager. After another long wait, I was able to talk to the manager and he told me the package should be at the store. He then asked me to hand my cellphone to an employee of the store so that he can talk to the store employee. He asked the employee (different from the female employee) to enter some info (probably the tracking number only) on the store terminal/computer. And to no surprise, the package was at the store since 9:58am as stated on the email and tracking. It's at the usual package location, not hiding. Finally I was able to pickup the package sending to my wife (I have the pickup notice and my ID is having the same address as shown on the package) after wasting about an hour of my valuable time. The store was not busy, I was the only customer at the store most of the time. A careless mistake and poor customer service from the female employee just wasted my valuable time. UPS and in particular this store's manager need to review this and make necessary correction and improvement or else will keep losing customers. read more

I called to see if the store offered LiveScan services. An associate was very helpful, giving me the information I needed over the phone. I stopped by later the same afternoon. I was promptly greeted. I respect businesses that ensure their younger staff understand the importance of demonstrating professionalism and customer service as this store does. The same associate I had spoken to earlier took care of my request efficiently. Both associates that were present were very friendly to customers and each other. Customers walking in/out seemed happy. The store is clean, organized, and air conditioned. Because this store is in the same shopping center with a gym, potential customers should consider peak gym times (i.e. early morning or after work) will affect ease of finding a parking spot.
