I would highly suggest you use postal graphics as the folks in this store are more than unprofessional. when they make mistakes they are willing to try and save face by blaming others. Diana the manager was no help and rude. it shows in her employees work ethic and accountability. additionally, conner who is supposably the main manager but is never there recieved a returned package based on his employees error and instead of calling he kept it for a week. This was a schools internet device and the school was done due to this poor service and accountability. if you care what you are shipping use somewhere else. read more

Been to this place twice and the ladie at the front is not helpful at all. When i ask for simple print outs, she makes things complicated and makes excuses cause she simply doesn't want to do her job. Try doing it yourself on the computer there? Well she isnt help in that department either. I dont want to go to a place that i pay for services and feel like i am bothering the employee. This WILL be the last time i will be back. I usually don't write reviews but felt compelled to in this situation. I came into the store with a printed UPS label from Verizon to trade in one of our phones. For whatever reason the employee told me that the store scanner could not read the label and I could try to email the UPS label to the store printer to see if that worked. Once printed, Connor, who was working the register, took my package and asked me for just under 4 dollars to print a 1 page" UPS " label. The young woman that initially helped me never mention a charge to reprint a UPS label, that she suggested to see if it would scan. I politely mention that I felt the fee was excessive and why wouldn't my printed label work? To charge just under 4 bucks to reprint a 1 page "UPS" label that I brought into their store but for unknown would not scan in the store is unreasonable. Also, they did not mention any fee associated with the reprinting fee of a one page label prior to printing out said label. Conner said he could just place the label I brought in to the store on my package but then said , "I don't know if it will get there if they can't scan it." Humm....a UPS store telling a customer that if I used the UPS label that I brought in that he didn't know if my package would get there doesn't inspire confidence with the stores ability to delivery my package. I left with my package (I obviously could not leave my package at that store). I asked for a business card politely. Conner said that if I was going to complain to just directly complain to him right there because he was the store owner and stated that he has to make a living and he now called it a convenience charge. Sorry but I really had to laugh (inside of course) I found that it was easier to go home and have UPS pick it up at the house avoiding this store. Guess what? My package with my original printed UPS label that I brought in to the store scanned first time with zero issues....Humm.! I even asked the driver what happens if the label doesn't scan properly.. The driver stated that they just manually enter the number.. Suspicious right? So.... after reading other similar reviews I'm taking the time to write a Yelp review to inform future customers of UPS store 4512 on McCrey St. in Hollister. I will also follow this up with a letter to the UPS corporation. When reviewing Yelp for the McCrey Hollister UPS store reviews others have similar complaints and yes, I can confirm that Connors business card did in face say "Connor, Universal problem solver." Hi Conner, I visited the UPS store as I usually do on Saturday's to mail and drop off packages. I placed my items down that I had ready to go. I wasn't greeted as how can I help you or how are you today. The employee just walked up to me. Not even a boo! I informed the worker I wanted to mail my package. She proceeded to say that it won't go out today UPS does not pick up on Saturday's. Not a big deal if at least I could have received a "we can make sure your package is picked up on Monday, and deliver as soon as possible. I have always come on a Saturday's so my packages get delivered by Tuesday. I left and came back ready to go to the USPS instead. However I thought let me just go ahead and mail it here. I informed the worker that I would like this delivered by Tuesday to a UPS store in El Dorado Hills as my sister would pick up there for a fee. I have done this before. Employee did not know which one was in El Dorado Hills and said all UPS stores are independently owned. In the past one of your workers was able to help me right away with my request. She looked on computer and found an address I had used before with a suite number. She asked me is this the address? She did not make an attempt to check and confirm this was the UPS store in El Dorado Hills. She had a little bit of an attitude not helpful at all. I have always visited this UPS store and never had an employee not be willing to help. Very disappointed. While she rang my delivery charge I noticed the employee name was Diana. I paid for the delivery, and then went outside to look up the UPS store on my phone. Wanted to confirm address. Walked back in to store and my package (still opened) was sitting on the counter. Diana, didn't even look at me to ask if I needed something or forgot something. There was one customer there. I as if my package was not important enough to move to the back of counter. Also felt as a returning customer wasn't even given the courtesy of an acknowledgment. A worker at the UPS store in El Dorado Hills was the one that shared with me I can have a package delivered there instead of residence. This is safer and my package would not get lost. I wish Diana was aware of this service. One of your young workers who has helped me is quite aware of this service. Too bad Diana is not trained in this area and/or better customer service. It was a busy day when I walked in but the 2 gals working made sure to take time to say hello. I didn't have an appointment for a notary but Diane was able to help me. I did have to wait but didnt mind since I could get a notary done same day without having to come back. During my time thereI observed the 2 ladies working were pleasant to everyone and did well under the pressure of a growing line. Glad that they offer walk in notary service it saved me a lot of time and also was able to mail it out when done all in one spot. I see why this store is busy because people get good service here read more

I needed to ship an ancient Tibetan Buddhist scroll to the Art Exhibition taking place in Houston this Thanksgiving... I stopped by this store and was given a great service by Steve... They were busy when I brought the scroll, so he couldn't pack it in front of me, but promised to take a real good care of it and pack it well... The scroll is 54" long when rolled, so they would have to build a special box... It's also very expensive [I bought a $1,000 insurance], so they had to wrap it in the heavy duty bubble wrap, and packed the long narrow box with packing peanuts... Steve kept his word, shipped the scroll in a timely manner, and it's already arrived to Houston in the perfect condition... The curator of the Art Exhibition took a few pictures of the packing job and emailed them to me... It was exactly what was promised by Steve and I uploaded the pictures here... Reliable service and reliable people, ready to accommodate the client's needs... Two thumbs up, I highly recommend this store... read more

This store is on top of things and when they see me pull up- they get all my deliveries together and waiting by the time I walk in. Self service printer wasn't reading my flash drive so I was pointed to the computer. Printed 2 black/white copies (which should be 15¢ per page), but I was charged $3.25 because I "used the computer." Well obviously I was never told that I would be charged some sort of additional fee for using the computer for 2 minutes because I would've just went somewhere else. Why didn't the employee explain the price difference or at least assist me with my flash drive troubles???? I would have appreciated some sort of explanation for the price difference other than "used the computer" read more

The staff here always goes above and beyond what you could possibly imagine, so friendly and funny and personable. I was so happy to see Diana there again and her co-worker Riana was also extremely helpful and pleasant. Diana was the reason I didnt go to the USPS. She rocks and deserves a FAT raise!!! read more

I agree with the previous review. I was relieved to see that a UPS store had opened in Hollister. I walked in with a package to get shipped. As soon as I stated it's for AT&T, he immediately clamored that he wasn't dealing with these kinds of packages until after the holidays. I walked out, walked back in and asked what the difference was between shipping regular packages and mine. He stated that he was too busy to deal with the warranty paperwork from AT&T. I sarcastically stated that I would I would have to drive to Gilroy to get this shipped then. His response was "if you want it shipped today then!!" I will gladly drive to Gilroy then support this jerk. read more

I feel that I need to write a review about the very unprofessional behavior of the staff at the UPS store in Hollister. While I was in the store one day last week, a customer came in with a large package to ship. After looking at her documents, it was determined that the shipment was prepaid. This was clearly something the store owner was not happy about. He then quoted the lady an outrageous price to tape up her package for shipment. When she declined, the owner became extremely belligerent and rude to the lady. I was shocked at how he continued to go on, and was clearly unable to control his anger. He then proceeded to kick her out of the store. The lady was embarrassed and crying. I will never step foot in the UPS store again, and I urge others not to patronize such an unprofessional businessman. read more

It's advertised that UPS Store is a notary public but the staff here in McCray St., Hollister, CA informed me that his license has been expired for quite a while and still waiting for the renewed license maybe in a week or two or who knows really? What can I say? False advertisement? I recommend that you call first before going to the store to check. Let's not always rely on advertisements. read more

I have had only great experiences at this store & it's entirely because of the owner, Connor. He's super kind, personable, attentive, efficient, & generous. There's always been a constant influx of customers. He greets every person upon entry of the store & lets them know he'll be with them asap, while he's efficiently helping someone else. I've seen him take care of 5 different customers in 5 minutes. He greets his PO box customers like a friend, calling them by name, asking about their day. He's helped me with shipping & faxing. I believe he also does notary services. And recently, when I had 3 large packages to send, he generously gave me his personal discount to reduce my costs. He did it without mention, not requiring acknowledgment or thanks for his generosity. He truly puts 150% into his work. It's so rare to have exceptional service these days & Connor delivers that every time. He's so pleasant to everyone, super professional, helpful, communicative, & willing to go the extra mile. A couple of weeks ago I called to find out how much would they charge if I printed a document from my thumb drive. The employee quoted me $1 for the usage of their PC and 20 cents per page. I was happy it was affordable so I came in and used their services Today, I came in and as I was using their PC, I noticed a paper taped to the wall by their PC stating the "charge of 60 cents per minute" for the PC, etc. I printed 2 pages like before then I was rang up $3.47.(I used the PC for 3-4 minutes, so I should have been charged $2.80) I mentioned to the employee about being charged almost double and he says, "I know, I know, we got a call from corporate that we have to charge a higher price and we cant be picking and choosing what to charge for the PC usage." I then said, "The sign over there says 60cent/min." He tells me well there's a minimum charge of $5.??? I don't understand," I say. "This is the reason why I came in because you know and I know I've only been here for 3-4 minutes." It still didn't add up. So I ask who's the manager and he says, "I'm the owner." I say, "Then take this to heart, I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER." He says as I'm explaining to him that it was a lot to charge people and that HE was taking advantage of people and now that STAPLES is closed THIS IS HOW HE'S MAKING HIS MONEY. I also told him that I was going to write a BAD review on YELP. He says that I'm not letting him explain so I say go ahead and explain because I want people to know what your response is and I'm going to write it down. He says AGAIN, "You don't understand I get audited and I have to explain to Corporate everything I charge." I say it's not a good excuse to make up prices when the sign over there says something different and a couple of weeks ago I was charged a lot less for the same services. He just shrugged his shoulders. He's a BAD BUSINESS OWNER and I told him that I would never come back. The receipt said his name is Steve/the owner so watch out Hollister, you may be taken advantage by their services they have to offer. Staples charged me 20cents a page and they took my thumb drive and put it in their computer for me and printed...boy do I miss STAPLES!!! read more
