As I simply asked to get a notary, she responded like I knew I couldn't get a notary done for.. an hour? Or two? Or three? Left me to my own devices for a while during which I managed to produce a decent 4x6 postcard. Came in to send my wife's visa application off to the UK. I had no idea about the mailing procedures involved in sending and receiving urgent documents. Don helped me through everything, compared prices with UPS and DHL shipping (DHL was cheaper), and got everything ready to go for me. Great service, I would definitely recommend to a friend. Aloha!!! I have a business mailbox here and I love that it's in such a central location. I usually run in and out so I park right infant using the meters and there is almost always parking. Don, the owner is very helpful and chill. This helps a lot because he is the one accepting my mail and taking care of the shop. It's always peaceful and quiet when I come in here, and the vibe is relaxing. I do recommend getting your box here because I hear too many stories about people having there boxes at the post office and who wants to deal with that chaos all the time anyways ? Not me lol. As you can likely pick up from reading other's comments regarding this location, the customer service is horrific. In my 12 years of professional life - I have never been spoken to by such terrible resolve and lack of professionalism. In truth, her ("Debbie") aggressive demeanor (e.g., cutting me off as I am speaking or raising her voice) caught me off guard. I had called to make a complaint regarding one of the UPS drivers blocking the entire lane on my street. As she has claimed "they have the power to block traffic" (which is incorrect, only certified construction workers who have taken and passed traffic courses and law enforcement have the ability to block/intrude traffic) - I quickly informed her that was incorrect. From my understanding (e.g., post-encounter with this disturbing employee), UPS drivers CAN be ticketed but it is at the discretion of the law enforcer. As I tried to continue to speak, this employee was cutting me off and raising her voice until I found myself having to yell to get my words through (due to her yelling). She then hung up on me (perhaps the line had disconnected)? I called back asking to speak with a manager to which she answered and replies with "they're not in and I know who you are" as if she was intimidating me. I had mentioned to her how unprofessional she is being and asked for her name (understanding she did not have to divulge her name to me) but would have solely utilized it to report her to the manager/supervisor. She responded with "you want a name, my name is Debbie. Today it is Debbie, tomorrow it might be Karen, and the next day it might be (another ambiguous name)". She then tried to make some correlations between buses and UPS drivers (that I am still not sure what her point was?) then she hung up again. I found it interesting she was not interested or confident enough to attach herself with the incident that had occurred - perhaps she was cognizant of how unprofessional her behavior is/was and what ramifications may occur. I've had some bad experiences with companies/customer service but never to this point. To the point where I am writing my first yelp review of unfortunately, a negative experience I had with an employee at this UPS Kapahulu location. Realizing I would likely not resolve my complaint/frustration with this location I called corporate to file a "corporate complaint". Some of the information I got from calling corporate is this... After calling corporate and doing some investigating I was informed that these stores are franchisees; in other words, each "UPS Store" is distinctly separate from the corporation of UPS. Drivers and individual stores are also NOT under the same department - thus, leaving me to question this entire verbal altercation in the first place? I was also informed that phone calls are recorded (or should be recorded - again, due to this franchisee system, each store could have different policies). I urged the supervisor/manager of this location to look into this incident on August 12, 2020. I whole-heatedly support small/local businesses especially during these unprecedented times but with employees like this who represent these businesses - it makes me less saddened when these small business go under due to one rotten egg. read more

Don and Chrys and Mat run a great one-stop mail and office service shop in Kapahulu. I've used their mailbox services, printing and copying services, faxing and forwarding services, and notary services and they have been more helpful to me than larger shops offering the same kinds of services. The costs for their services are lower, too. If you do business in Waikiki, Kapahulu, Moiliili, or the University area, and you don't want to wait in lines for service and you want the people there to know your name and treat you kindly, go to these folks. read more

Oh, Don the tall bald guy is MOST DEFINITELY one of those grumpy people who hate their jobs. I've been there twice and both times I had to be the first to greet him with a smile. He didn't even look up from what he was doing--didn't crack a smile or offer a simple hello. I was the ONLY one in the whole dead silent store! How can you not greet a customer as they come in?! In both cases I felt like I was sorely inconveniencing him, he treated me like a stupid idiot, and he sent me away without one ounce of friendliness or customer service. Seems like there's only one worker here and he's a total jerk. You can tell he hates his job and directs the negativity of his pitiful life towards others who just want to make a return. He is quick to not provide receipts, making it difficult to follow up when he messes up your order. I reviewed this UPS Store before, but for some reason my review has disappeared, so I'm posting a new one (same one-star rating as before, for the same reasons). I live part of the year a few blocks down on Kapahulu so I was happy to see a UPS store go in. Closer than the post office and since they automated the post office in the Safeway it seemed convenient. Convenient is relative. I've been into this UPS Store a couple of times to get shipping items and to drop things off, and all I ever get is major 'tude. As in rude. This level of rude would be super irritating in a high-school kid--too cool for school--and in an adult (?) it is totally unacceptable. Amigo, if you don't like dealing with the public, find a line of work that doesn't require it. I'll go to this store if I really have to, but if I have another choice I'll go elsewhere. read more

My cousin recommended I come here if I needed to mail things out, unless I like standing in lines at the Post Office. Since this place is close to where I live, I've gone there several times but didn't care for the service. Don isn't very cordial for someone who deals with people. I've never seen him smile or heard him speak in a friendly manner. He once charged me a higher rate to mail something out even though we had discussed the different options and selected a cheaper method. Street parking is a hit or miss. I sometimes have to drive around the block two or three times before a space opens up. I think I would rather stand in line at the Post Office, where customer service is usually a five-star experience, than go to this place. August 2018 Update: I don't think Don work there anymore. I haven't seen him for a while. Instead there are one, sometimes two, younger men working who are very nice and helpful. One even offered to carry a medium size, semi-heavy box to my car! When they provide their customers free returning service, they had already paid UPS to cover all related services. It's a UPS store... about as exciting as a post office. The last time I was there, their terminal was down, so they couldn't provide a receipt for a package with a prepaid shipping label I was returning, but it got to its destination fine.
