Whether I want to ship something, get something packaged or return an amazon order, this ups location on Newburgh and 5 execute it phenomenal. Not just good, standard or any other "typical" word, they're FANTASTIC. Staff is kind, friendly and smiling. There's plenty of staff, something hard to come by in businesses these days. Whatever the manager or owner is doing at this specific location, keep it up (and the staff too, you all deserve the stars in the world too!). Dropped off packages. They have a Mail Drop there so you don't have to go to the post office. Plenty of staff on a Saturday so I only waited in line a few minutes. Mr. Lagg is a very nice person, we drive from Northville to this location. Plenty of parking, knowledgeable staff, they sell stamps and provide other services. We used to use the Northville store when Mike owned it but prefer this location because of the kind treatment and convenience of the store. Then we get a coffee across the lot! read more

Convenient location but their wifi never works. This can make it difficult to complete Amazon returns. They've directed me to the front of the store (out of line) where there's supposedly a better signal. Very inconvenient and still doesn't work. Admit it's a giant dead zone. Smells funny. ***you're responding to one of my many, many problems at this location. You in particular are always quick to try and sell me your expensive boxes and mailer bags. I was having a day. I was trying to ship a package back to Amazon, and when I tried to drop the box off, there was a problem with the shipping label. Thanks Amazon. Sidnie offered to have me email the shipping label to their inbox, but I didn't have my phone. So I left and came back in 5 min with my phone. Phone has no signal. Did I mention I'm having a day? Sidnie was super patient with me and helped me connect to the wifi. That wasn't really working either. So she helped me at a computer terminal and let me log in the old school way to print off what I needed. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. Honestly, their customer service was top tier. I just left this store and I sure wish I would have gotten the employees name. He was so friendly and went out of his way to make my experience great. First he greeted me with a warm welcome, then he asked me if I'd like to add my return address to the package (a phone to Verizon). Lastly he said to be sure to keep my receipt at least until Verizon receives the package. He didn't need to do any of this but he served with a constant smile. Such a good experience! I'm not sure of the UPS location that delivered to Livonia so I'm guessing. I mainly want to commend IPS for accurate delivery and for the on the moment tracking. I misspelled the street address because the "o" on my keypad sticks. UPS got it right using the zip code and house number without delaying my delivery. This store is notorious for not accepting your package the way it is.... and wanting to upcharge you to their packing. UPS shipped me items in exactly the same fashion/packaging that I am returning the item and somehow these young UPS Store employees want packaging to be different. Do yourself a favor and go to the 7 mile store. They are much easier to deal with, no issues with packages EVER. Fast and efficient. The 5 mile store proves me right each time... They never contacted me about finding my apartment number day of delivery even though it was in the instructions if needed. After a week of the app not updating my address I decided to go myself and pick it up before they ship my package back without my knowledge. I was contacting my product seller and UPS customer services. I was told to go pick it up with a piece of mail with my address to confirm and ID. The lady that was helping was very rude and threating to send my package back to the seller which was very unnecessary, so I asked for a supervisor and had all the proof for my $500 package. Gladly I was able to leave with it. To the ups manager, Erik and staff, I am so thankful. I could not attend my son's wedding in Galveston this past weekend. Silk flowers with personal messages enclosed inside the handle the bridal bocquet was the best I could do to feel like I was present at their wedding. Somehow was given wrong address, needless to say with time ticking away and covid slowing down delivery, they made the impossible possible. Eric, the manager, was so compassionate dealing with me in a very emotional state. He took time, never rushed me, consoling me that he would personally take care of it. I have used this store multiple times, the last time I paid over $40 to ship a box out of state. I was told it was to be delivered in 2 - 3 days. The shipment didn't get there till 2 weeks later...they opened an investigation and told me it was lost and was going to file a claim. It was then all of a sudden delivered. I then asked for either full refund of what I paid or partial. I was told since it was not a guarantee delivery, I was not being refunded anything. So I pay someone money to 'possibly' deliver my package?!?!?!? I will never use this store OR UPS again. This is only my second Yelp review. Previously, I would have said Disney World employees give the best service. However, during the six or seven times I visited the UPS Store on Five Mile/Newburgh, the staff were unusually and unexpectedly kind and friendly, and willing. The best thing that they did on my every visit is raise their hand and say, "Hello, can I help you?" Even when they are very busy, they acknowledged me and confirmed that someone would be right with me. On top of that, they are always helpful with the shipping procedures. I have to catch late UPS deliveries at least twice a week. When I do, I'm usually pretty stressed out and a little bit cranky. When possible, I will drive the extra six miles to and from this particular UPS store. Why? Because they always make my day a little bit better. Even though they don't make much processing my packages, I'm always greeted with a smile, usually by someone holding the door for me. Today, an employee went way out of his way by helping me print a replacement label from my ups.com account. Yep, my dumb ass forgot to put the shipper on the box before I left my shop. This isn't a 'just today' thing, though. I'm a seriously tough critic of customer service, but I've never left this store annoyed. I had a large 130lb. package that needed to be shipped and my local Canton UPS store would not accept it, so they referred me to the UPS Service Center in Livonia. We carried the package into the service center and we were then informed that they were not able to generate the shipping label from my barcode. They then referred us to the Livonia UPS Store at 5 Mile Rd to print the barcode and bring back to the service center. I called the Livonia UPS store to confirm this would be acceptable and they said yes. When I arrived at the 5 Mile store, I was warmly greeted by Sameer K. and he said he would take care of this package entirely so we didn't have to go back to the service center. Sameer K. came out with a dolly and unloaded the package with another associate (thank you, I didn't get your name), printed the shipping label and we were all done. The only UPS store I will ever use again! The employees here go above and beyond to help you. They are all friendly, knowledgeable and they address me by name! I have shipped internationally dozens of times to the point where I don't even have to say where the package is going, they already know! They are fast and I can't say enough good things about this location. One time I used a different UPS store closer to work and it was a nightmare. The owner needs a course in customer service. Stop in to drop off a couple pre paid bags of recycled coffee pods. Been recycling for over 5 years and using the UPS prepaid bags and never have I been asked to give my name so when asked I was confused. When I didn't give my name the owner picked up my bags and gave them back saying I could take them somewhere else. Stunned I gave my name he scanned the labels and I left never to return again. read more
