I had an extremely frustrating experience at UPS Store #6543. I came in with an urgent package that already had a valid UPS label and simply needed it processed. Instead, I was refused service without any explanation. The employee would not review the contents or provide a valid reason; he simply refused my request. The lack of professionalism and basic customer service was unacceptable. Being turned away for seemingly no reason other than his apparent unwillingness to perform a basic customer service task felt arbitrary and potentially even discriminatory. Customers deserve transparency and if we are lucky, a modicum of respect, and I received neither. I will not be returning and would not recommend this location, especially for time-sensitive shipments, and especially if you are a woman. UPDATE: It's disappointing to see my experience dismissed simply because you have "no record" of it. I was there, and not alone. My friend witnessed the entire interaction. Lack of internal awareness doesn't mean it didn't happen. If no one on your team recognized the behavior, that's an accountability issue, not a customer issue. I stand by my review. read more

The post office consistently skips initial scans, giving scammy customers an opportunity to tell me that there package was never sent. I've printed really beautiful photos for a friend's party, a graduation sign for my brother, and recently flyers for my business! --I wanted a few different mockups to test art prints and they handled it like it matters to them! Nina is the absolute sweetest--she remembers you, pays attention to all the little details, and makes any normal day feel special. Today I walked in and my flyers were already printed, cut to the right size, and waiting for me in an envelope with my name on it- that kind of care is rare! It's not just a shipping place. The UPS Store - Best place to Print ANYTHING!! - Shipping Centers Near Me - Long Beach, California

I went today to mail some nesting tables. Found out it would be "cheaper" to pack as one box( custom costing $95 to make the box and wrap the outside of the nesting tables). The total would be $336 to ship based on measurements of 23" x 18" x 30". A few hours later I received a call that they "input the wrong dimensions in the system, so the, the new dimension gives a huge price difference, so instead of $241 it'd be $551. " The $241 has does not include the $95 packaging fee. I stopped by the store to see if they may be willing to possibly "compensate for their error by not charging me for the packaging and box($95). I was totally surprised that the owner/manger was not willing to give me any compensation for an error on their part that would cost me an additional $300. His comment was "we caught the mistake" , he was not going to lose $95...as they corrected the problem. I even asked if he would be willing to do half of the packaging cost...again a hard no. Talk about CUSTOMER Service.... I took my tables and went home. I measured the tables wrapped and they measured exactly what the original quote was for the exact measurements. Not sure what "new dimensions " they were using to charge me an additional $300. I would recommend you not use this service for "special packaging". read more

Friendly and straightforward UPS Store in Belmont Shores. I came here to get a few things printed. I called ahead and they gave me an email address to send the files to and after I showed up, they were able to pull them up and get them printed pretty easily. Customer service was good and it was a tad pricey for all the sheets; I think I paid $4 or so for 3-4 color pages and 8 black and white. I like how the building is built into the neighborhood and follows the Belmont Shore vibe. Parking is street only. read more

This great UPS Store, located in the heart of Belmont Shore happens to be my favorite location. I've been here before and have always had great service. Today's venture was for passport photos and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The ladies greeted me as soon as I arrived and began my photo shoot. My friend and I went in to return an Amazon package without having printed the label. I knew I was going to pay a fee, which wasn't a problem, however when I went into the store. I was greeted by the young man that was working the counter and he was having a little bit of trouble helping me with my package so what I'm assuming was the owner of the UPS store since this one was locally owned came to the front to help him however she did not greet me and immediately had a sour attitude when he had let her know that I hadn't printed out the label. She then went on to stare at the two labels that I had screenshot on my phone and read them aloud so the whole damn store could hear her. I didn't mind that she was helping him, but she was very rude to me and my friend, which I did not appreciate she then went on to leave him to figure out the rest by himself to help another person that was in the store. Mind you, every single person that came into the store got a happy greeting and another playful conversations. Another man also came into return an Amazon package in which he didn't have the label printed either, but had a great experience with him he was in and out of the store in under two minutes. We spent an entire 15 minutes there... However, she went on to help many other individuals very nicely did not give them happy attitude that she gave us and was happy to serve them however, when it came to us, she had a stick up her butt, I would say that she really needs to have an attitude adjustment and she needs her employees better because she really was being so backhanded and passive aggressive to her not only her employee but to us paying customers so I will not be returning to this location and she needs a reality check. read more

They were nice I guess I like that they have a notary and when I filed my baby's birth certificate they were nice. However today I went to return an Amazon order and they charged me $2 for 2 pieces of tape. I had the box and everything packaged except I asked for some tape to close the box and the lady charged me $2. I've been to a lot of UPS Stores and I used to work at one, never been charged or charged for tape. I'll go to a different UPS Store(they are franchised) in the future. I'm a regular and have a PO Box which is great despite the fact that I never get any mail and bonus no junk mail either! However I don't know what the going PO rentals are elsewhere but I was in a pinch at the time. Expensive for me but no regrets, another bonus is I get all of my Amazon and online orders frequently so it's nice they alert you when your packages are ready for pickup via text if you choose to. Conveniently located on 2nd St and they have parking available for street meter parking, small customer parking lot behind in back of building, and neighborhood parking available too. I drop off most of my packages for shipping or for Amazon returns. Short lines and always great customer service. Also convenient for making my coffee runs during the day after I am done with my errand here and lots of delicious breakfast spots close by too if your hungry! :-) read more

Went in to pick up a package that ups was unable to deliver to our home. The name on package was my spouse, but we obviously share the same address. I showed my license as well as the email with tracking number. The young man helping said it shouldn't be a problem to pick up... went to confirm with manager or owner(makes no difference) and she said to the both of us that last names have to match AND address... she'd allow it this time. I knew this wasn't correct and called ups after leaving, they too confirmed I only needed to show that I reside at the same address. Fed Ex is the same... easily picked up a package from them showing only my id. I am writing this review in hopes that the business realizes that you only need one or the other... I'd also like to add the location on 7th is always helpful, friendly and I don't believe they charge for tape. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this location last week and feel like it must be shared to avoid the same thing happening to someone else. I had an appointment to get something notarized and arrived on time. The woman at the desk informed me that their notary had just left (this was at 10 am by the way) and wouldn't be coming back. I asked why that was the case as I had an appointment. She said she would have to ask her coworker. The other employee told me that the appointment system doesn't usually line up to when their notary is there, so he just calls the customers the morning of and cancels their appointments. I got the sense that the notary sets her own hours and that this is a regular occurrence (even though the notary services hours are clearly listed on the website, and the system allowed me to make an appointment). He said he didn't see my appointment pop up (I had made it a week in advance) or he would have called me that morning to cancel. I asked what I am supposed to do to get my form notarized and he said "just try calling before you want to come and see if she's here". This system must be addressed. If someone is getting a document notarized, it means they have an important, legally-binding, often time-sensitive matter to attend to. I am shocked that the store would be so cavalier with regard to their notary services. Bottom line, if you need something notarized, don't rely on this location. I ended up going to my bank, they were helpful and efficient and did not charge me for the service. There are also a number of independent notaries who deserve your business (even some mobile notaries that can come to you!) There are plenty of other options out there that will allow you to complete your documents on time without the headache. read more
