She became incredibly rude, pushed our paperwork back across the counter, said she wasn't going to deal with it, and refused to help them. If there was a legal reason she couldn't notarize the document, I completely understand--that isn't my issue. My issue is how they were treated. There is a professional and respectful way to explain a legal requirement, and this was not it. The dismissive and hostile way she spoke to them was shocking and deeply upsetting. I've never witnessed someone treat people so differently because of a language barrier. Whether it was prejudice or simply unacceptable customer service, the experience was completely unprofessional. First, I'd like to say Pat it is one of the nicest and most personable workers I've seen in the industry ( including overseas branches ). He strives to remember customer names, and always cares about making sure customers are taken care of. Secondly, Pat offers some of best prices around ( for FedEx, USPS, and DHL). Sending important documents ( such as visa paperwork...etc.) can be extremely expensive, especially with government agencies. Having sent these kinds of documents numerous times, Pat has certainly saved me a decent amount of money. Lastly, every single item I've shipped has arrived (safely) and earlier than estimated.
