I would gladly give this store ZERO stars if I could. I had a chair sent from Napa (where I'm originally from) to Seattle (where I live now). The employee measured the chair for 30 minutes, while I stood there, and charged me $253.16. I signed the contract, and the chair was supposed to ship the next business day. To make a long story short, he measured wrong. Really wrong. 10 inches wrong. And because of his mistake, I got a call saying that I could either a) come pick up the chair (ummm... impossible since I flew home to seattle) or b) pay $700 to ship the chair by UPS freight instead. This guy cost me $500 because he couldn't measure properly. When I called the manager, she was quite unhelpful and said she'd call the owner. The owner couldn't have cared less and wouldn't offer any resolution at all. We're not talking about a $20 difference. We're talking about a FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR difference. Not only that, but the chair arrived with a broken leg. Well done Napa UPS Store, well done. At least I had photographed the chair in the store before it was shipped! Now I have the proof I need when I take them to small claims court. Please do me a favor friends~ and take your business somewhere else. You've been warned about this experience... and I hope it doesn't happen to someone else. But I wouldn't be a BIT surprised if it did. It all seemed unethical to me. I walked in there and I had an item I needed to ship. First thing the guy says, wait outside there is someone else ahead of you. He never asked me what I needed or what I needed to purchase. Due to the corona virus I am unable to receive my packages in the building where I live. I ordered face masks and the company told me to find a local UPS store where they could ship them to me. Yesterday at 4:35 PM I received a phone call from a rude, nasty, blaming, woman named Krista reprimanding me on how I need to pick up my package that day or she would charge me $10.00. Krista also went on a rant with a vile tone on how I should of called her and on and on. When I went in today to pick up my package Krista accused me of yelling at her I told her I did not appreciate how she called me on the phone and ripped into me. I have never used this store before I never knew of their policies and I would never use this UPS Store again because of Krista. I work in the Napa Valley tourist industry and I will let every winery and customer of mine know to BOYCOTT this UPS Store in Napa, CA. I usually have a wonderful experience at this store. Not today. Uliana was the name of the person working. I began my transaction and asked her to look under my phone number to begin the process of sending to my son. I said, " while you are doing that I will run out to my car and get my phone ( for Amazon code for other return). Uliana then started saying to the woman behind me, " Can I help you since she is not ready." I explained that starting on my son's package while I got my phone would allow more than enough time. She kept repeating to the woman behind me, " can I help you since you are ready?" She then proceeded to be short with the harried older woman who had her grandson with her." I know this as it took me less than a minute to get my phone ( car less than 25 feet away) . I put my box down near edge and it fell over ( small box) . She said, " you threw your box down because you are mad."When it was my turn I told her that I didn't appreciate her being short with me and rude." She said she was not. Then after I watched her tell the woman before me to keep her box as it wasn't needed for her Amazon return...she told me regarding my large Amazon return, " You should have taped this-I shouldn't have to tape it!" I asked when her manager would be in. She said, " I don't know," and wouldn't tell me. I come here to do business all the time. I have never had such an experience and the staff are normally kind and helpful. read more

I called ahead to be able to compare shipping costs vs USPS. The quote was under $16, but after driving 20 miles to get there, Lisa the manager charged me over $33! I told her of the quote over the phone, and I had described the item pretty accurately [minor changes didn't affect the cost]. Lisa was polite but cold. I expressed my upset, and listened carefully for an apology--there was none. After I paid, I expected some acknowledgment of my patronage of their service--there was none, only an unconvincing "Have a good afternoon". Really, the experience negatively affected the rest of my afternoon. As the business consultant Holly Stiel says, "If you're not in the 'Thank You Very Much' business....you're probably not in business." I won't be returning to the UPS Store on Solano. read more

I am a former employee of this location. Recently I had reapplied to work here again because it is under new ownership. The new owners are relatively nice... but extremely hard to get ahold of. I was told that they would call me back in a couple of days. I never got a call... so I decided to reach out to them. I was told again that I would be called later that day. I never got a call. I went into the store to get some supplies and the owner happened to be there. I asked why I hadn't gotten a call back. (By the way I am in college and trying to better myself) I was very rudely told they are only looking for full time. I have my notary license and would need little to no training. The owners of this business wasted my time and were not up front with me. I advise not applying here if you are a college student or in school because they will not work with your schedule or even consider you as an employee. This business is VERY poorly ran. I believe the owners before did a way better job at having a diverse staff. The employee turn over rate is ridiculous... no body stays working here. The UPS store is located within about a 15 minute walk from my house or a few minutes drive- about a mile. I have stopped in several times when I am returning items I've purchased online. Though I walk by it almost every day when I'm out exercising, I sometimes forget it is there. I was sending cards to India and Zimbabwe to children that I sponsor and was agonizing internally about how busy the post office was going to be since the holidays are quickly approaching. And then I remembered the UPS store. I grabbed my letters, a handful of quarters to pay for extra postage and headed out! When I walked up there were no cars parked in front of the store and when I got inside I was the only one in the store! On a Saturday 2 weeks before Christmas! Within a second or 2, one of the staff came out. I explained what I needed, she weighed my letters, I paid the difference and was out the door in less than 2 minutes! It was a seamless experience. She was not especially friendly or chatty but engaged in conversation when I spoke to her and compared to what I typically experience at a postal service, she was a delight! I will always use their services in the future. What a lovely thought that I never have to enter a post office and stand in endless lines, surrounded by and waited on by folks that are dead behind the eyes! And to add to my experience, I got to walk 5 miles and save a stray dog with all the time I saved! read more

BEWARE!!!!!! IF I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE AMOUNT OF STARS TO THIS LOCATION I WOULD!!!! This is the most irresponsibly store I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with in my life thus far and I would not recommend it to anyone that has confidential and time sensitive material that needs to be mailed. I paid a considerable amount of money to have my government documents sent via express mail guaranteed to get there the next day with tracking information and insurance as well for peace of mind. Not only was my package not delivered but the tracking number provided was useless and my package was unable to be tracked. Upon contacting the office to figure out what happened I was informed that they weren't sure where the package was however I could only get a partial refund since they could only refund "their cut" of my payment. The worse part was the so-called manager Zack was very nonchalant and could not even begin to explain or rectify the situation. Long story short I was not only advised by the local post office to never go to this store again I was also advised by consumer affairs to contact the local DA's office so that this type of behavior is not repeated. I have filed reports with consumer affairs, the BBB, The DA's office,, the main headquarters in San Diego and also contacted 7 on your side so that others are made aware of and hopefully never have to succumb to this sort of impetuousness. I am still awaiting some sort of apology or contact from the store owner but after reading some of the reviews I doubt that will ever happen. All I can say is NEVER AGAIN!!!!! read more

Contrary to advertisements, UPS Stores in Napa do NOT have a notary public. .. SOMEtimes they have a notary public at SOME point during the day. . .I went to the 2nd street store and was told I would have to go to the Solano store, clear across town. . where I was told, no, she's not in right now. . . the point is, if you need a notary, you pretty much need a notary. . .if you're going to advertise it, have it.. . otherwise, take it off the list of services. . .
