I just want to give a shout out to the female employee who worked at this location on Saturday August 1st. When I arrived at 2:15 there was a notice on the door saying that "due to staffing issues they will reopen at 2:30.... sorry for the inconvenience" I decided to wait in my car until they reopened. At 2:30, there were about 5 people waiting outside. Since a couple of them knew I had been there waiting, they let me go in ahead of them which I appreciated. The gal working there apologized for having to close and that she was there by herself all day and needed to take a break and have some lunch. She handled everything with such professionalism and grace that she deserves to be acknowledged for being such a good employee. Sorry this is so long but these days it's rare that I find someone who deserves a pat on the back. read more

I will never use this location again for notary services. Service was condescending, rude and overbearing. The owners, one of which is supposed to be a notary never responded to the legitimate customer complaint. The person who took my returns was nice. read more

We had a terrible experience with the notary named Kieran, who seemed to have a personal issue with us (maybe homophobic?) and had us come back three times to have our document notarized. The first time there was a document snafu, and it was understandable that he wanted to be careful. But the second time, as soon as he saw us, he decided he wanted to go on break. We were patient and left to come back another day. The third time we called ahead to ensure that he was there and working and not on break. Yet when we showed up a few minutes later, he still tried to go on break. When we said no, we have been here three times you need to notarize for us, he then tried to call his colleague to "verify" whether we had called ahead. When he couldn't reach her, he said he would not notarize for us because we were "rude." All in all a very negative experience. Don't use this UPS store if you have any other alternatives. read more

I have never been treated so rudely. I hadn't taped my box closed because my return instructions said they would print the label and ship it and I missed the part that said to tape the box closed. First the woman who "helped" me said sarcastically that if I don't tape the box closed the items will fall out when they ship it. I really wanted to be sarcastic back but instead tried kindness and apologized and said that I would have happily done that if I had realized I was supposed to. She then proceeded to say that she would use their tape as a one time courtesy, that they make no money off of my shipment, and that using their supplies costs them money. I think she finally realized how rude she was being and started saying how confusing it can be and that maybe my instructions were wrong and to have a great day but none of that made up for the rude lecture. Since all I do is cost them money I will go to the location on School St in the future where the employees are courteous and professional. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had at this UPS location (4225 Solano Ave, Napa). I showed up shortly after receiving a UPS notification that a high-value package had been delivered here for pickup. The store manager (whose name I wasn't given) was audibly complaining as I walked in that "the system is down" and "we won't be able to release any access point packages." I let her know I was there for a pickup, and immediately I was met with condescension and dismissiveness. Even after I showed her the delivery confirmation from the UPS app--including the name of the person it was signed in with--she insisted my package hadn't arrived. She interrupted me repeatedly, spoke over me, and contradicted everything I showed her without even bothering to check the back. After telling me I'd have to wait for a callback because she couldn't find the package--and that the app must be "wrong"--I was on my way out when another employee (who was polite and professional) emerged from the back with the package in hand. My name was printed clearly on the label. The store manager, meanwhile, hid in the back. No apology. No acknowledgment. Nothing. It's one thing to be mistaken, but it's another to double down on misinformation, speak down to your customers, and then quietly disappear once proven wrong. If this person is truly the manager, I would strongly encourage the owner, Ajay Sidhu, to reevaluate who he's entrusting with the front-facing operation of his business. This level of incompetence and arrogance is unacceptable. Go elsewhere if you have a choice. You deserve better. read more

I was shipping a package via UPS and brought in my box and label - The clerk informed me that there was a $3.99 "service fee" to tape my box closed. This sounded unreal so I attempted to clarify - "You're charging me $4 to tape my box closed?" I asked. "Yes" she replied, with no eye contact... Just so we are all on the same page: 1. I Was shipping a package via UPS 2. The items were in a box 3. My UPS label was printed I just needed the box to be taped closed and the label affixed to the box. I suggest you not use this location. They are not a local franchise. They are owned by greedy out-of-towners who charge $4 for a few pieces of tape. read more

I had a return that I needed to send to Apple for a repair of my AirPods Pro. I was given thorough instructions by Apple to bring it to a UPS location. I selected the Solano Avenue location in Napa. I brought my AirPods in they looked up the number that Apple provided, and they said that they would handle everything for me. After about a week I checked in with Apple and they had canceled my claim because they received an empty box. I then proceeded to go down to the UPS store and speak directly with Tess who was responsible for shipping it out for me initially. Tess remembered the entire situation, but a lady in the store who seem to potentially be the owner or manager basically blew me off and said it's not up to them, and I had to do my own legwork on trying to get the issue resolved, so either they never shipped the AirPods back, or they missed packaged them and as a result, I do not have AirPods, nor do I have anything coming from Apple because it's out of their hands. read more

The staff is always very helpful here. It can sometimes become very busy and during Covid times it can make it a little more uncomfortable wait but overall the staff does a great job of keeping things moving at a rather nice pace. I do appreciate the variety of services they have to offer such as selling stamps, taking my unwanted Amazon purchase returns, and they even take boxes and such off of your hands (within reason). Ashley is amazing! We have visited this UPS Store on several occasions to ship a package or process a return and we've always been happy with the service. I visited yesterday to ship a small item and return a few online orders and Ashley was super friendly and went above and beyond to help us with our shipment. Apparently there is a $4.00 charge to tape half of a box. The clerk informed me that I can bring it home and tape it or pay for the roll of tape. The clerk that she confirmed this with spoke as if I wasn't even present. I will avoid this location at all costs. I am also trying to avoid Amazon so that I don't have to step foot inside this store. read more

Disappointing experience and severely overpriced. I've been going to this branch for years and I've noticed over the past few years the rates have steadily increased. I would think maybe it was pandemic related but the other carriers have remained affordable. High prices aside, I live very close to this location and I like supporting local business (these are franchises). So I've chosen to take my business here for several years. This past weekend I had unique situation - due to unforeseen circumstances, I needed a suit for a wedding that I was attending (and a party member of the wedding) shipped overnight to San Diego, where the wedding was taking place. I called the UPS store as soon as they opened at 8:30am. The clerk informed me that they could happily ship the suit to my hotel with a guaranteed arrival time of 9:00am the next day, as long as the suit was packed and shipped by 3:00pm that day. The price was a heavy premium ($320) but I was fine with paying to insure the suit would arrive before the wedding. I had a family member pick up the suit from my house, take it to UPS, pack it, pay, and ship it at about 10:50am that morning. I received an email notification confirming everything. The next day, no suit. The tracking number said there was a delay. Upon further inspection (detailed timeline) - it appears the carrier did not label and ship the suit to the UPS hub on time. When I called the store, they had no idea where the suit was and little resolution to offer. I ended up having to spend the entire morning and day of the wedding (which was the first time seeing many close friends since the pandemic started) driving 3 hours round trip to go get another suit just so that I could participate in the wedding still. I made it to the wedding shuttle 10 minutes before departure, but unfortunately missed out on all other wedding activities (brunch, photos, first look, everything). I lost valuable time and gained lots of frustration due to the inept service this stored offered. They finally located my suit and brought it back to the Napa location so that I could pick it up in person. They said they would refund me for the shipping (a service they never even provided, so a refund would make sense, right?) and seemed as if that it was a "favor" for even offer the refund. I was never able to speak with a manager or the store owner. I was told they were unavailable. I asked them to pay for the suit rental fee and they said no. There was no apology from a manger, no acknowledgement of the mishap, nothing. In fact, they tried to blame "UPS" for the fault, as if it was out of their franchise store hands. However, the "UPS timeline" clearly indicated that they didn't label and load the item in time when we have a receipt showing that it was taken to their store and paid for over 4 hours before the cut off time. They were dishonest and failed to deliver a premium service that they happily charged for. I will never go back to this store ever again. read more

I am a "frequent Shipper" at the UPS store on Solano Ave in Napa. Andrew is the most helpful employee! He gets 5 stars He always is curtious and very detail oriented If you can get to the store early you can pull right up And get in and out rather swiftly. I also like how organized Andrew and the other employees seem to be and they seem to always be ready to help and have even caught a few mistakes I have made on my free postage labels ready to drop them in the handy bin for the USPS. How interesting to read, here, other reviews which more or less echo my concerns about this place. So, then, it's not just me. I've several times entered this store because the sign says there's a notary public inside. But, alas, there never has been; and I was always sent -- usually with an attitude -- to the store on 2nd street... ...which ALSO didn't always have a notary present... though at least it had one more often than not. While I admit that the 2nd street store is generally better, neither of them (both owned by the same franchisee) is terrific. UPS should never have franchised these stores. Corporate stores have standards, and training, and a sense of customer service... ...as well as a management hierarchy up which a complainant can climb to make sure that a store manager who apparently thinks she and her people can say and/or do anything, with impunity, could get an appropriate wake-up call... or maybe even be fired. But, alas, as with all franchise operations, it would take a massive letter writing, telephoning and emailing campaign of complaints which provably document egregiousness in order to get UPS's franchise department to even consider looking into it. You'd think that since it's UPS's name above the door, it would care more. Go figure. Anyway, my other problem with this store -- besides its absolutely NEVER, contrary to its advertising, having a notary in it ... and having an attitude about it, to boot -- is the really awful attitude, just generally, of its people... ...which I first encountered a few years ago, over the notary thing (and that remains ongoing); but which I've also experienced in one form or another, over time, regarding all manner of other things. The owner has obviously never had proper customer service training -- or if she has, then she either didn't take it seriously, or think it was important -- and so she's not conveying said importance, or skills, to her employees. Either that, or she's just as bad as they are. My most recent problem, in January, was with a dark-haired young woman in this store with a kind of punk-rocker (for lack of a better way to describe it) haircut and manner of dress -- and with pure attitude just oozing from her pores -- who treated me about as miserably as I've ever experienced. It was beyond belief to anyone who wasn't actually there. Fortunately, during the encounter, the UPS driver came in and heard most of it; and so if I ever needed a witness, he'd be the guy... especially because, during it, our eyes met and he just shook his head in disbelief, and rolled his eyes at the ceiling while raising is nose in her direction to indicate that it was her, and not me, whom he found outrageous. I had simply asked her for a way to enter my package into the UPS system immediately so my recipient would be able to verify that I had deposited it therein; and the reason I needed that was because unless I had so deposited, then I wouldn't have been able to then drive to one of his stores and get a replacement of that which I was shipping; and he had already called his store and told them I was coming. She didn't just say she couldn't do that (because, as it turns out, they don't actually have a direct connection to the UPS system), but she said it derisively... as if I were a ridiculous and stupid old man for even asking. It was palpable; not, trust me, my imagination. I then asked her if I could simply have my recipient call her, then, and verify. She said "no" even MORE derisively... ...at which point I called her on her behavior by asking her if we could please get through it without her conveying by every means of body language at her disposal that she felt I was wasting her precious time. She bristled, of course. I then asked her if the UPS driver, standing right behind her, could just scan it, to which he started to open his mouth to say "yes" (which I know because after he stifled, he nodded his head in the affirmative toward me that he could have done it); but she said another stern "no" before he could say "yes." She then said, I kid you not, "I'm done with you, now," and turned to help the customer behind me. Even that customer gasped, and then said it was okay; that I should be taken care of first. I, of course, demanded to know the franchisee's name and phone number, which the punk-rocker initially refused (but then relented). You can imagine how it went downhill from there. I drove to the other store to tell my story to the manager there; and when I got out of my car, I spotted another UPS truck and approached it. He happily took the package and scanned it right into the system. He then told me a horror story or two about both stores. I write about it now, two months later, because I found myself hesitating to go back to this store today, because of the previous unpleasantness. Such cannot possibly be what either UPS, or the franchisee, had in mind when they opened the doors. Shame on them, both. read more

I came to this UPS Store location during my lunch break. Upon arrival, there was an upset customer complaining about their services to one of the staff members, who visible seemed like he could care less about the woman's concerns. I was greeted by another staff member. I showed her the two items, a disc and paper work, which I needed to be mailed out. She told me to just grab an envelope and write down the address I needed to mail to. I did so, paid, and the staff person said that it should be received by the recipient within a couple of days. That was a little over a month ago. I called the person I mailed my items to several times and they never received it. I called the UPS Store indicating that my intended recipient never received my items (keep in mind told the guy this in a calm voice). The staff member that I spoke to over the phone immediately got defensive and said that they allegedly mailed my items out. For the rest of the phone call, he had an attitude with me. I'm now wishing that I just went off on him over the phone or drove down to this location to go off on him. I now can see why that woman was so upset when I initially stepped into this UPS Store. The staff here aren't the greatest and some clearly don't give a damn about the customers or their concerns. Who knows where my items are at this point. I will NEVER visit this UPS Store again. The one is Suisun City is much better. Sometimes I wish that Yelp would allow you to give negative stars on the reviews. read more

I drove all the way to Napa from Calistoga after I got off work during high season, during peak traffic time (it took me an hour) with my 1 year old. On our recent trip to Napa I became concerned on how I was going to get 4 cases of wine shipped to Virginia. My cousin also had 4 cases going to Massachusetts. We delivered all this wine in wine bags to the UPS store for packaging and shipping. We were concerned. I am happy to report everything arrived in one piece and all correct.
