I'm surprised at such low reviews of this place! This UPS store is located on Fleet, in the National Harbor area. As other UPS locations, they offer various shipping and delivery options available, and on my most recent visit, Mr. Scott was friendly, welcoming, and was efficient in getting the packages scanned and providing a receipt in an efficient manner. I love that they are open on Sundays! Parking can be a bit of a pain, as it's extremely limited, but most seem to double-park or put their flashers on to drop off packages. +open on Sundays! +limited street parking +friendly staff +fast and efficient service! read more

I would give them 5 stars because they are very quick with customers. However, maybe things were done a little too quick. I returned items at Amazon and when I asked if it matter if they were in the same package I was told no. So he scanned at the stickers and gave me a receipt with all scanned but apparently the items I asked about were not received by Amazon. So now I'm being charged for these items. I have tried to contact the store and I have not yet to get in touch with anyone. So my experience is bitter sweet here. I need to get in touch with someone as of today. read more

This is the worst UPS location that I've ever stepped foot in. I came in to get a letter notarized for my birth certificate in California and the first person to help me completed the form incorrectly by writing the incorrect date. It resulted in me having to come back a 2nd time to have it fixed. The next person to begrudgingly help me was Robert Scott. This man was rude and treated me like I was a hassle. I showed him the incorrect paperwork and he agreed to fix it for free. Upon filling out the notary, he ALSO completed it incorrectly by putting the incorrect date. When I pointed it out to him, he jut crossed out the date and wrote the correct date. If anyone has ever gotten a paper notarized, this is an absolute no no because it can be mistaken as fraud. I told him that the state of California will not accept this and without looking at me he said, "well just submit it and the first one that was incorrect". After he said that, he just turned away and continued taping boxes. He had an attitude and refused to complete a new form. I completely understand that mistakes happen because we're human. However, to be an a**hole about it makes the experience as a UPS customer worst and it's the reason why I FedEx outperforms UPS. After my experience with their notary service, I DO NOT RECCOMEND anyone use it. You're better off using a local law firm. read more

I came to this store to deliver a cake that was prepackaged and already labeled. I only asked for the package to be weighed to insure the cost was covered. The employee who said he was the manager, asked what was in the box and if there was ice. I told him its a cake and yes. He then flipped the entire box over causing damage to the cake. His excuse was he needed to tape the bottom, which was already tapped. He did not apologize he refused to assist me with my package or pay for the damages and put me out of the store. read more

I have came to this UPS store several times. Each time I come here I have a really great experience. When I walk in I am warmly greeted. The ladies who work here are very nice and polite. Their customer service is exceptional. I wish I knew their names. I came in to drop of a package and to also find a box to mail out some items. The ladies were very helpful with helping me find the right size box. They pulled out about 4 different sizes and also put them together to show me the actual size of them. I know I was probably a bit of a pain, but they were very patient with helping me. read more

Every once in a while I encounter customer service that is so superb that I want to open a Yelp account just to broadcast it to the world. So here I am. My colleague and I were traveling to a tradeshow in National Harbor last week, so we shipped some packages to this UPS Store located a few blocks away from the convention center. Of course everything went wrong and our packages did not arrive on time, forcing us to devise an instant Plan B, Plan C and Plan D. The staff at this UPS Store went out of their way to help us make backup copies of our booth collateral, help us track the late packages, and called us when they finally arrived the next day. When we accidentally left some items behind, one of their employees even met us halfway to save us some time. Shipping our boxes back after the show was a breeze. We were in good hands. Their employees love what they do, and they provided relief during an otherwise stressful couple of days. Tip: If you have your own UPS account, bring some pre-printed labels, as I don't believe that they can ship from your account at this location. read more

What started nice (was greeted nicely lol), ended horrible......I've never had a problem with Amazon's no box, no label returns until today!! The lady told me I needed my item in a bag or box of some sort....I said I have the no box no label kinda return. She told me "it doesn't make a difference, how can I put a label on this? amazon shouldn't tell customers they don't need a box when they do" ummmm pretty sure UPS and AMAZON have some sort of contract agreement to help follow these guidelines (maybe they use their own and bill amazon later idk!)....so she said I think I have a bag...she grabs my item and continues to package my stuff up and process my return then was interrupted by another customer with another clerk who needed change (I'm sorry but when ur with someone in the middle of a transaction u finish it THEN help the other person!! That's PROPER Customer service!) as she's taking care of this other customer I asked if we're good to go and she says no you need to pay me for the bag....ummm what?!? Why? I'm sorry but no box no label means just that!! It's not my fault that this UPS isn't equipped properly to handle those type of returns agreed to with amazon.....what other locations do is put it in a large clear plastic bag and then stick label on OR put it directly on item....sooo idk why this location isn't doing that...so I of course refused to pay for something I shouldn't be paying for, especially w/o informing me prior to packing it up, so now u wasted the bag cuz now she had to take it out to give it back to me....straight dumb....took my item and left and contacted amazon who just let me keep item and gave me money back.....not result I wanted but still got what I needed (my money back!) would never go to this location again due to the fact they go against the contract I KNOW UPS has with Amazon!! Do NOT and I repeat NOT do service at this location. This place is the absolute worst UPS store I have ever visited. I purchased a medium sized mailbox here on Dec 12. for my business mail. At the time of purchase, I was told by the customer service assistant that they did not have the extra key for the box and they would contact me when it was available. I said okay, no problem. After weeks of not hearing from them I call to find out what the status was for my key. I was told that no one put in a request for a key to be made. Mind you I only purchased a month just to see how the service would go before purchasing long term (glad I did). So the person on the phone goes on to tell me that the manager of the store was not there and at a different store. She gives me his name, Mr. Loomis, and his number. I call his other store. I proceed to tell him the issue. Mr. Loomis then asks me "well did you call to see if it was made". I tell him I was told that I would be contacted and I'm calling to find out what the problem is. I also asked him how could this issue be rectified since I ordered for a month and it is now the 3rd and I still don't have access to my box. He tells me that we can let you in. But for me the problem is I work 12 hour shifts and they are closed when I get off. So guess what, they CANT let me in. Mr. Loomis was very rude and acted as those he didn't care at all. He came off as a "I got my money so I'm good" kind of attitude. So basically I gave them money for NO box. I wish there was some way I could sue or maybe I should BBB them. I've had UPS boxes before but in Atlanta. This should not even be a case for purchasing a box. A key should be available, point blank!!! Or don't sell a box. Or offer a refund or a free month for not having access to a box. Better yet, improve your customer service. read more

I love visiting The UPS Store in National Harbor because their staff is so friendly and efficient. I recently pre-ordered a PS4 for my fiancé's birthday and used this location as a one time alternate delivery location to make sure the surprise wasn't ruined. I just called ahead and asked a nice woman named Kim if I could pick up the package at their store and she was so helpful!!!! She informed me that there would be a small fee, which of course I expected, and that she would even call me when the package arrived! When it was time to pick up the package, I spoke with their General Manager, Paul, who was just as wonderful! The people working at this location obviously enjoy what they do and have a refreshingly pleasant attitude. I will definitely return to this UPS Store! On another note, I had NO IDEA of all the other services that this UPS Store provides. Aside from packing and shipping, they can scan, fax, copy, notarize, make business cards, custom banners, and a ton of other stuff! Who knew?! read more

This isn't about the people in the store but the store policies. I went to ship a package that I had looked up on UPS website that should cost $12 plus about $7.50 in insurance. Went through signing my life away on various forms and the next thing I know they are asking for $30. Whaaaa? I relayed the quote info, to which the response was, "Well we are a franchise" to which mine was, your franchise isn't getting my money. Went to a nearby Staples and price was exactly the website's. Love this UPS! It has the friendliest staff that I've encountered in a mail facility. They are very dog friendly and always have treats for my dog when we walk by. I've used them a handful of times when mailing out packages and they've always arrived to their destinations on time. read more

They lied, point blank if you enter in to a contract with this store make sure whatever they say to you is on the contract, and then they may still not honor it. I shipped a package on 3/16/2016 that was to arrive over night air freight by 3:00 p.m. at the latest. The package had perishable goods that I had frozen and calculated to that time of delivery. The package arrived at 6:38 p.m. not as told me by 3;00 p.m.. By the way, I had also told the salesperson to insure the package for $500.00, but I neglected to check and see if they had done so. So I'll chalk up the cost of the merchandise to trusting their accuracy and being naive. I was told since it wasn't delivered in time I would receive a full refund of $70.48. And the person I spoke to said I should get in the mail. Surprise after the 8 business day time frame, I didn't receive it. I called the store and was told that as long as they deliver the merchandise before 7:00 pm on the 17th they had forfilled their part of the contract. Which was not true, that was never stated to me in the store, when they guaranteed a delivery time of: by 3:00 p.m. In essence I should at least have received a refund of my $70.48. I will be very careful if I ever chose to use this UPS Satellite, Franchise store at the National Harbor again. Right now, I do not recommend patronizing this business, unless they live up to what they say. read more
