Workers have always been nice and helpful here, the only negative thing I would have to write about is this store needs to hire more people. The times I've been here even during right when it opens there is a long line already. Every customers situation is different, but there are times in the past where you can be waiting in line for a while. I stopped coming here, due to the crowd. I would be remiss if I did not leave a major shout out to Naveed and Stephen tonight for being so amazing to help me with my packages two minutes before closing... I had a very large 8 x 10 rug that I needed help bringing into the store last minute. They both met me with the biggest smiles and offered to assist... I have been having my packages delivered to this location for quite some time. Today the Manager assisted me while I was grabbing my package. I showed her my ID like I always do, and she asked for my tracking information, no biggie. She then asked me for my mortgage or lease agreement since my address was different from my ID. I don't carry my lease agreement around with me lol. I told her I have never had an issue before, which she replied in a snarky manner that their policy just changed. I was like I can show you my food order history haha, didn't work. She was totally rude and spoke down to me in that high pitch passive voice "I'm sorry you feel that way" manner. I ended up showing her my car registration so I could get my package, since my ID and tracking information email was not enough for her. I have been going to this UPS store for 18 years and the employees have always been so nice and helpful - until today. I went in to drop off my Amazon return and Molly told me she would not accept my return because it was not boxed. My return was in a box - two of them separate. I asked if they could be taped together and in her condescending voice she told me no and I could go somewhere else because she will not accept it and UPS will not ship it. I was taken aback, never had I been treated like that in this store. I went to the UPS store on Newport Blvd and had absolutely no issues and the UPS driver at the store let me use his tape roller to tape them together. I even asked if my two boxes had to be put in a box together and they said no not at all. After I left I called Molly and to let her know that she could have taken my Amazon return and that UPS does not require boxing and that her store has lost my business because of her attitude, she laughed and said, oh well and Hung Up on Me. I have no doubt that Jenna review below is about Molly - she is rude, un-helpful and I have heard her before speak down to customers. how do you explain that for past 5 or more years store has provided a service. Signed up this past Nov 2023 and all appeared to stay the same and was happy with service... Mid year 2024 the owner decides to change policy (it was in fine print as an option on contract) but never mentioned while renewing and never implemented for past 5 years. Now you are charged for any packages over 15 a month and for keeping a package over 1 day. Yesterday, received package amazon reported delivered. 3 hours later at "5 pm", UPS sends notice of that package being received. Today, picked up package at 9am and immediately charged 1$ since we are over the 15 per month allowance AND another $1 for them keeping package overnight???? THEY notified us at 5pm night before!!!!!!!!!! Owner could have told renewing customers at time of signup that policy was going to change... at $600.00 year to have the UPS store mailbox, think owner could have provided notice and allow customers to decide. read more

I went to the store to get 50 brochures for my business. I asked the gentleman what are the three different types of paper and what are the cost for each page? He tells me ones $.36 ones $1.10 and ones $1.50 for color I said well it's getting 50. I'll just get $.36 and it's not the side the weight of the paper I wanted, but the price was good. I use this UPS store because it's close to my house and convenient, but until after my most recent experience I'll make an effort to go elsewhere. I brought my item in that needed to be shipped, the box to ship the item in, and the bubble wrap for packing. The only thing I was missing was the tape. Thought maybe I could get the box complimentary taped or maybe pay a dollar fee for them taping my package because this is how it has been done for me in the past. However, this was far from the case. I'm assuming who was the store manager working, and quite OBNOXIOUS by the way, had to make a huge fuss about the tape for the whole store to hear. Quite honestly shaming me for the situation. Not only was this slightly embarrassing and ridiculous, it was holding up an already long line out the door. A complimentary taping of my package didn't seem far fetched. I brought all the other supplies for the shipment of my package. Thus more would have definitely kept my business and more efficiently handled this situation. However, it was made clear either I leave and ship elsewhere, or I purchase an entire overpriced roll to be able to ship my package. So I bought the roll, taped the package because it was urgent to ship, and will happily ship elsewhere for now on. read more

The guy managing the store is rude to literally everyone. He probably hates his life and throwing out anger to all of their customers. Really had a a bad experience here and reading the reviews here, it is pretty consistent that the guy is just a mess. I understand people have bad days but based on what i saw in person, thru phone, and thru other people's review, he is just plain rude. The staff here is really nice except for him. Is it that hard to be nice to your customers even if you don't know what's going on? Does it take a lot of effort just to listen patiently without giving attitude? Or even just be calm in general? Let me be frank, They purposely cheat people, They SELL stamps but do not put a price up for you to know that they add 50% to the price of a stamp so a forever stamp which is 60 cents they sell for .95 cents. i got a book of 20 stamps and they charged me an extra $7.50 that is crazy. When I asked Damian he rudely said "we are not the post office". I went to Ralph's right next door and got the same stamps and saved myself $7.50 Beware and they are rude also to boot! They need to post their prices and let people know up front otherwise you swipe your credit card and they rip you off. read more

Made a printing order online (maybe 50 pages total) and got a 6:00pm pick up time for the same day. Waited until the following day to pick up my order. When I showed up, the staff had zero urgency for processing each customer in line, allowing one customer to drone on about a personal story while 6 people waited in line. When I got the front of the line, the clerk said he had to check the back for my printing order, left me waiting for about 3-5 minutes. When he returned, he asked me to come back in 30 minutes because my order hadn't been printed. I use this store for pretty much all of my shipping needs...mostly international package drop-off as of recent since like most, I am working from home. I just went into the store to drop-off a package and was rudely informed by one of the girls working (verbatim) "We are not taking package drop-offs anymore. We are too busy and do not have time to deal with it". This is a UPS package. Already addressed, already pre-paid online and already packaged...& it is not accepted? At a UPS store? Defaults to 1 star, but really it should be ZERO STARS; HIGHLY: do not recommend. I went into the store today and there was one customer being helped by an associate. The other associate, DAMIEN, was wrapping a box (no customer there, just the box) and told me that he would be right with me. I have a box that's ready to go, just needs to be scanned... no big deal. I wait. Damien then answers a phone call and rather than putting them on hold and helping me, carries on helping the phone customer. I'm still waiting (again, I just need a box scanned ). Another customer walks in and goes to just drop his package off and Damien tells him that he needs to wait.... that customer decides to just leave the package on the counter and leaves. I'm still waiting. He's still on the phone. I then speak up and ask if he can just take my package since I'm standing right there... he tells me that he's doing two things. I respond that usually you help the person THAT IS IN FRONT OF YOU. I worked in service before and this is mostly common sense and usually a company's policy. Answer the phone, ask them to please hold, discuss/gauge the in-person transaction, determine next steps. Isn't that pretty baseline service process 101?!! My transaction would take 15 seconds, MAX... but there I was, still waiting. Hahaaaaaaa He then gets MAD AT ME... aggressively tells me he won't take my package now, storms to the front door, opens the door for me and tells me I need to go to another store. Is this real life?! But meanwhile, scans the package from the customer that left. Hahahaaa makes sense I just stand there, I didn't move during his dramatic request for me to exit, still waiting.... asked the other associate if he's the owner, to which he says "No, but the owner would do the same thing." What?! The owner would do that?! He clarifies, "the owner would answer the phone." Hahaha OF COURSE, answer the phone... then ask for them to hold please and help the customer who is STANDING IN FRONT OF YOU. Damien finally "gives in" and takes my package and proceeds to tell me that I need to have more respect for service people and speaks to me in a very condescending tone (other absurdities come out of his mouth ). Is this guy serious? He's obviously having a bad day, but based on the other reviews, maybe this is just the way they treat customers? Hope Damien can have a better days ahead... maybe a little problem solving or better policies/procedures can help this team be more efficient and in turn, have happier customers AND happier associates. read more

It is absolutely absurd that a UPS store charges you $5 to print out a one page Amazon return label. This is complete extortion by a business taking advantage of customers. They also offer to allow you to print your own label on their computer which will cost you $4.75 after the cost of logging on and printing on their customer computer. read more

I've tried several times to get through to these people on the phone. But there is an automated system that does not allow it The collar gets stuck on an endless loop. And one cannot simply speak to someone if there is a question before coming into the store.. That is terrible customer service! The available options in the automated system do not include many things that can happen for the customer. I'm getting sick and tired of all of these companies that choose to use automated systems that do not allow for a live person at the other end. I asked multiple times to speak to a live agent or an operator and I. Kept getting the automated voice telling me that it could not be done. I refuse to use companies that are this in personal and who aren't even intelligent enough to consider all of the available options so that when the customer tries to call in with an unusual issue, they are turned away without help. Very disappointed how this UPS store treats its customers. The staff is beyond rude and have NO idea who they are talking to. I do a LOT of shipping. Today I had some pre-labeled boxes I thought I would drop off for pick up at UPS to help the drivers who are beyond busy right now instead of scheduling my regular pick up. Wearing a mask carrying a large box, I opened the door myself, as this store does not leave the door open for convenience of people with large packages, on a warm summer day... I went to set down the first box, out of anyones way to go and get box number 2. There was a small line of 4 people all waiting to do open box amazon return shipping, so I was hoping like ALL other UPS stores I have ever been to I could simply drop my boxes that are ready to ship by the counter and leave. I did not need them scanned in.. I know what I am doing, probably more than the staff here.. Upon setting down box number 1, an employee behind the counter with a VERY strange face, and too much make up decided to start barking at me in an odd voice.. "we can only have 3 people in the store at a time, you can't leave that there"... i nicely said - " the box is ready to go"... and i was barked back with nonsense "no you can't leave it, you have to wait in line... or you can go to a less busy location" ... what on earth is that supposed to mean? Maybe if these workers understood customer service, their lines would move faster and they would be more efficient and appear "less busy" like all other normal UPS stores?! TERRIBLE STAFF. They should be lucky to be working during COVID and should be a lot nicer to a customer. NO Signs posted mentioning anything about "must wait in line to drop a pre-paid package off" or "only 3 people at a time in the store"... Maybe get a table outside where people can safely drop items off without exposing themselves in a line for 20 minutes while workers not in face masks take their time with 3 people at a time?! IN RESPONSE TO THE EXPECTED AND TYPICAL REPLY FROM JAMEY BELOW: "Our location is one of the busiest stores in Orange County" - typical self righteous attitude thinking your store is more important than all the other UPS stores in OC with a blatant lie that you are the "most busiest"... I have been to your location many times and there is nobody there... Get over yourselves. I have been to many others as well, they are all just as busy on peak times. They all also have social distancing policies and guidelines. None of them are as rude. None of them are as disrespectful. Your attitude behind the counter and on Yelp are terrible and disgusting. What if I was a 75 year old woman walking in by accident to drop off a box with a prepared label? Would your tone have been as harsh and as rude and as disgusting towards customers? As you can imagine the last few months have been extremely stressful during the store closures and times of quarantine. Staff is limited, hours are limited etc. I had to head to the UPS store to drop something off but I knew lines would most likely be long. The lines were long but to my surprise I was greeted with smiles and warmth by the loveliest staff member. Damian really goes ABOVE and BEYOND to help people. I always have a positive experience when he's working. I came to the store today to have passport photos taken of my children. My 3 year old enjoyed having her picture taken, but my 17 month old son was NOT having it. Two employees tried their best to take my son's picture, but he was screaming at the top of his lungs, turning his head away from the camera, and covered in snot. Damian stepped up to the plate and saved the day--he handed my kids a couple pieces of paper and markers. He really tried his very best to calm my son--and it worked! My kids are going to beg me to come back, because he made the experience so special and fun for them! After giving my son a few minutes to calm down and color, Damian returned and captured two perfect passport pictures! read more
