Can't say much of anything good at the store employees are unpleasant. Anything you do whether you're mailing out a package receiving mail or trying to take a passport picture they're gonna overcharge you more than anyone else and not blink about it. Save your money. DO NOT DROP YOUR MAIL OFF HERE EVER!!!!! 3 awful people working on Friday November 8th where my mom dropped off a of a birthday card with $100 in it. The people working said it would be sent out Saturday the 9th. Fast forward one whole week (the mail was coming from OC to San Diego) so it should have been delivered a couple days after and still no mail. She called the store on Thursday November 14th and they said they shipped it days before (LIE). Fast forward to Monday November 18th and the card was delivered OPENED WITH NO MONEY IN IT. These people are thief's and not only lied about when the card would be shipped but stole the money out of it and only sent the card after my mom had called. Karma will get these dishonest people and we will be filing a police report immediately!! PLEASE NOTE- the employees WATCHED my mom put the $100 in the envelope so they were aware of the money before she sealed it. Tampering with mail is a FELONY and justice will be served! UPDATE based off owners know it all response- my mother ASKED THE EMPLOYEES for tape so she could tape the money in the envelope, so YES they did see her put the money inside the envelope. I can't stand when owners don't take accountability. Also, the women working whether it was 3 or 2, did not offer mail insurance because they already knew they were planning on stealing the $100. read more

BEWARE of mail gone missing! I dropped off two pieces of mail here over a month ago, on separate dates. At the time of drop offs their staff verified the postage for me as well. Neither item ever arrived. I mailed a third item of the same type to the same destination from the Newport post office nearby and it arrived. How would two items from the same drop off location mysteriously never arrive when I ship to the receiver regularly and never had this problem until dropping at this business. I just moved to this area and I will not ever ship from this business again. Buyer beware. read more

This company does it all! UPS, USPS and FedEx. Plus they don't nickel and dime you to death like the place on Irvine Blvd. The other company will charge you for everything and they are very grumpy. Ships a package ground and collects fee to insure package for $1500.... Package shipped without insurance per FedEx.... Business Owner shows a email to a private company who claims to insure packages.... One really big problem.... Fed Ex would only charge $12 for the insurance..... but Mail to Go charged me over $60.... And gave no paperwork or any proof... When we called to verify the insurance on the package based on the email.... The insurance would have been $6.00...... and also no proof of coverage... SO I ASK..... Why would I pay $60 when it should be $12 or $6???? This is not over..... more to come..... read more

Had a great experience here! I needed a Livescan and was able to set up an appointment for the next day via phone call. Not sure who I spoke with, but the lady on the phone was quite nice! The next day, I showed up for my appointment almost a half hour early. The lady working (a different person than who I spoke with on the phone) helped me out right away. She was friendly, quick, and thorough when explaining the process to me. I was in and out in a few minutes! If you need a Livescan, I recommend this place! read more

I pulled up to the front of this store at 6:29pm and was in the act of getting out of my vehicle, steps away from the door. The employee at the counter saw me with a package to drop off and quickly walked over to the door and locked it, then scurried away, just as I walked up. When I knocked on the door he just shrugged and said sorry we are closed at 6:30. The complete lack of interest in service on a transaction that should of happened and would of taken one minute to hand a package to him was shocking. Sadly this isn't my first experience with lack of service at this location!! I HIGHLY recommend using ANY other UPS store than this one. Needed to send a package and get a live scan fingerprinting done for substitute teaching in NMUSD. Called ahead of time for an appointment and was for in the same day! Not only was service quick and friendly, but very inexpensive ($25) compared to other livescan experiences I've had to pay for (#teacherlife). Another notable point that sets this business apart is the ability they have to toggle between different shipping vendors (fedex, ups, USPS,etc) to give you a variety of options. It's not just a friendly and reliable place to pack and ship parcels but they have great greeting cards, a few great gift items and definitely anything you need for packing & mailing. They help figure out best shipping method for cost and timing and they send tracking updates so you know when it is delivered. For me, most of all, is the friendly neighborhood feeling you get from the staff. They are always glad to see me and greet everyone like their old friends. I've used their Notary service which is super convenient. Though I don't use them, they have Post boxes and lots of people use them. Wanted to support a small biz and came here for the first time with a package that needed to be shipped with a pre printed fed ex label to try it out. They wanted to charge me $1 to tape my otherwise prepackaged box up and said they couldn't give me a drop off receipt. I said forget it went to fedex down the street and they taped up my box for free and handed me a receipt in 30 seconds. With the attitude from the woman behind the counter here I would assume this kind of poor customer service is the norm - save yourself the waste of time and just go to ups or fedex down the street. read more

I've been here twice and both times walked out without mailing the package I intended to send because the mark-up here is excessive. I came in to mail a standard package via USPS and the cost seemed very high. When I asked about the price I was told they add a service fee (totally understandable, cost of doing business, right?) but I was told it was approx. 30-40%. Ouch. I like supporting small business, but this feels like gouging. Also, while the woman at the counter was friendly and well-intentioned, I felt like I was asked too many questions "for their system" that are not all necessary for sending a simple package. She also asked me multiple times if my child had a rash. I tried to ignore the question, but she kept commenting on it and finally asked me directly, so I shared with her that my daughter has a birthmark. I just wanted to mail a package to my family at a fair price and could have done without the awkward conversation and excessive fees. I'll be braving the lines at the regular post office instead of returning here. read more

Recently had to send some items to my son who lives in Spain. In the past, sending things to him was VERY expensive using FedEx or especially the USPS. Also, some packages sent to Spain wound up in their customs office for weeks pending inspection and tax assessments. So I decided to check out Mail to Go in Costa Mesa. They were extremely helpful, explaining the differences between FedEx, UPS, and USPS including prices and on-time delivery. Raj recommended a carrier that I was not familiar with; DHL. They were cheaper and highly recommended by Raj so I went with them. The package arrived in 5 days, no customs delays, and I was extremely satisfied. Came in on 10/8 to get a live scan for my new employer. I've never done one of these before and came in unprepared and was gladly helped by the two women working! I didn't have my form printed so they printed it out for me and answered my numerous questions I had regarding the form. Then Leisha performed my fingerprinting and I was all set! They have adapted for "the virus" and are very safe. I needed fingerprinting done and no one is set up to take care of this at this time, I called there a week ago and they were currently installing a new system so they kept this service. First off, I'm not a negative reviewer so in order for me to write this, it's a warning to others based off my experience...... That said... Customer service was horrible. Was sending a DHL shipment over seas and had some questions to make sure it forms were properly filled out. She told me that she was BUSY with sending her own tasks!! Wow. No help with anything and tried to sell me a Commerical invoice for $6.50!!! Unbelievable, they are free everywhere else and they help you fill them out.
