I went to return a box of shoes, which had the wrong label. The person helping me says I had the wrong label so I proceeded to get the correct label out of my inbox. When I returned with their correct information, he took my phone started typing in my phone without explanation, so I had to ask him what he was doing! He says oh I have to email it to the store, then he pointed to the box and threw at me a receipt. I was like what are we doing? Are you returning my box. He proceeds to say that what I'm doing but you're rude and I've been helping you but you can just go to another store, there's plenty others around. I said you're also rude and you must be the manager, so he says no I'm the owner! Yeah it's a wonderful world! I said well I would think that you would verbalize and communicate what you're doing rather than pointing your fingers, I don't work here and pointing fingers is not communication, and you certainly are not friendly! He says well you could come back tomorrow. I'm like no I don't wanna come back tomorrow, so are you going to process the order then he says yeah I'll process it. But like he said, I will go to other UPS stores. I suggest you do the same, and not there! I've been to this UPS Store several times to drop off Amazon returns. I've never had to wait in line and they open early, which is very convenient for my schedule. The parking lot is seldom busy, so I'm usually lucky enough to park in one of the first spaces. This is great, especially when I have big packages to carry into the store. read more

I have had a positive experience with the UPS Store in Novi for over fifteen years. Yes I stated 15 years! Does that make this a bias review, I think not despite driving a distance when I lived in other cities such as Ann Arbor, Lansing and Toledo. I cannot speak for everyone else leaving a review, but for me the staff is always friendly and helpful at least here in Novi. I am not going to voice my opinion about other locations, but this one goes out of their way to make their customers feel welcome and taken care of, and I've seen it. Did I mention the UPS Stores commitment to providing excellent service and building strong relationships with their customers. As I visit this location repeatedly the staff recognizes me and retrieves my package(s) as soon as I walk in the door.And having a reliable and friendly staff can make all the difference when it comes to shipping and receiving packages. Especially during the holidays, the abundance of customers returning items from Amazon alone, this staff is faster than Kohl's and more effective than Whole Foods. The prices for mailboxes have only increased marginally over these years unlike the USPO and other amateur hour stores. While these are all great reasons to prefer the UPS Store in Novi over other options, you have to figure that out on your own. Convenient parking. Quick and easy for Amazon returns. There wasn't a line when I went, so I was able to drop off my return with the bar code ready to go. Since covid, I've printed out my bar code on paper rather than have them touch or go near my phone. The whole process took probably less than minutes. read more

We have had a mailbox at the Novi UPS Store for many years. The staff at this location is very friendly and top notch. Many times they have seen us pull into the parking lot and they have our mail ready and waiting for us when we walk in the store. I learned the hard way that not all UPS Stores are created equal. I pass the UPS Store in Commerce Township on Union Lake Rd. south of Commerce Rd. to come to this one. The staff is great, I have never had to wait in line behind more than one person, and the parking is awesome for unloading packages and loading boxes and packing materials. read more

Honest review telling my experience. 1. First impression - walked in the store, saw a [female person] - I figured she worked there because she was behind the counter but was dressed in a baggy sweatshirt and was generally unkept and unprofessional looking (no professional attire, no uniform, etc). 2. Came into this UPS store because a note was left on my door to pick my package up at this location (after 1 pm on the next business day) - which I did (it was actually 3 days after the sticker). Gave sticker and drivers license to [said] female employee and immediately noticed she was not in a good mood - no problem, everyone has good and bad days. She went in the back and came out 30 seconds later saying she doesn't have the package. Huh...? The little sticker says you should have my package? 3. Female employee handed the sticker back to me and said I had to call and track the package. I asked if that was something SHE could do and she immediately replied, NO??? I stood there looking at her for a second in disbelief (and confusion...). This is the UPS store and you are suppose to have my package and you say you don't. Maybe you could check to see where the package is - as this is your responsibility? 4. I asked if the computer we were standing in front of had internet and she said yes but that was not her job to track my package. Huh??? What??? I didn't know what to do - which is when the female employee walked in the back room - never to be seen again (?). After reading many of the other reviews it seems this may be the same female employee that has more 'bad' days than 'good'. If you overall are not a people person or have bad customer service skills and don't want to help people out, maybe you shouldn't be working at the UPS store and dealing with the public. I think (unfortunately for all the customers of this UPS store) that [said] female employee is the owner of the store because most UPS Store locations are independently owned. IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO BUSINESS AT THIS STORE, I WOULD RECOMMEND NOT DOING ANY BUSINESS HERE and trying out another UPS Store location. My husband and I were in a bit of a bind. We needed important documents notarized, faxed, and overnighted. The catch was that my husband was traveling for work and all his travel arrangements were delayed and/or cancelled and generally messed-up. After searching unsuccessfully for UPS Stores close to airports and capable of notary service in both Boston and Chicago, I finally found this UPS Store, #0582. The store is conveniently located between the Detroit Airport and my husband's office. Over the phone I was able to confirm notary service as well as set up specific faxing and overnight shipping service so that all my husband had to do was show up and sign the document with ID. Not sure why there are a few horrible reviews. I walked into the store and about half a second later, was greeted with a smile. There was a male and a female working and they were both friendly and helpful. I had a package with prepaid shipping to send back and another one that I would have to pay for myself. The employee told me it was kind of expensive and if I wanted to save a few dollars, the post office would be cheaper. I appreciate the info. But I didn't want to make an extra trip, so I had UPS ship it. Everything went smoothly..my packages were received in about a day and a half..sooner than expected. This location is conveniently located almost at the beginning of the shopping center right on Novi Rd just south of 12 mile..there's more than enough parking. Easy in and out. Ship here!! read more
