Cinda did greet me but didn't seem to be happy about it. She did not help me right away. This is the second time I have came in and she has been hostile to me. Not the place to go. $4+ for a piece of paper to print . I was shocked cuz it's really a dollar. CS told me unless you have a printer at home then go get that. I said no, we have one at work for FREE! CS says "then go there." lol I just reiterated that $4+ for a piece of paper is ridiculous and I will pay for it. Then she says "go there and get the QR code for us to print it. Like huh?? I have to pay $4+ for a piece of paper and work to get it too??? Ridiculous. No matter when I step foot in this establishment the staff is always pleasant. Today was no different. Today, Arnulfo, The UPS Store staff member, was no nice, patient, kind and helpful. It was not just towards me, either. I had many items to return to Amazon. I did not have any of the labels already printed out. I had to return them, on the Amazon app, one by one. Arnulfo was patient enough to wait for me to pull each one up and process the returns on my phone. While I would begin the process of one he would help someone that may have walked in. He was super kind to each person. I have been convinced that customer service, as I knew it, was long gone. Well, Arnulfo must of grabbed the last ounce before it vanished. The fact that he is so young let's me know that he was raised properly and he is a good person inside and out. If you're in need of services from The UPS Store, drive over to thia location. They are not regularly open & when they are open the lines are very long, & their system regularly crashes & you can't drop off Amazon returns or ship anything . I went into this location Saturday morning at 11 AM. There were six people in line, and one person behind the counter. The lady in front of me told me she had already been waiting 20 minutes. I just don't understand why you would have one person working on a Saturday. I've seen two or three people behind the counter during the week. So I left and went to another UPS store. I expected my daughter's medication to be delivered on Friday. There was an unexpected over the weekend delay and the new expected date of delivery was Monday. I frantically called customer service. They sent a direct message to the Richmond Station. Vanessa called me within 15 minutes of my call to customer service. She told me that she was going to do everything possible to get my daughter her medication. Vanessa told me she would personally keep an eye on the package and pull it if it arrived at the station Friday. However, she wasn't working Saturday and she would pass the package information and level of importance to Clarissa. It's Saturday morning and Clarissa just called me to inform me that she personally placed my daughter's medication on the truck and its out for delivery!! I don't write many Yelp reviews, but had to acknowledge a really good experience with this UPS store and Lisa. Recently we had to arrange for shipping of a pair of vintage chairs from Richmond, CA to Southern California. This was a completely remote transaction. I spoke to - and exchanged email - in advance with Lisa. She was knowledgeable about all the options for shipping and she directed me to the most affordable option. The chairs were delivered to the UPS store where they cleverly boxed and packed them. Lisa adjusted the standard box so that the chairs could go through the standard UPS system which saved $. The chairs arrived safe and sound two days later. A great transaction. Thanks! read more

Beware of this store. I went to drop off a package that already had a UPS label on it. I went in and put the package on the counter. The guy behind the counter was talking to a shady looking friend of his and said, "You can leave it there." I told him that I needed a receipt. He again told me to "just leave the package there." I turned around, took my package, and left. This was a super obvious attempt to just steal my package. Shame on this store for basically having a criminal man the front desk. read more

Been going to this UPS for 5 years, always dreaded it because didn't know what kind of mood the workers were going to be in. BUT they recently changed owners and the new worker is super NICE! She's actually willing to help you and she makes the whole process so easy. Gave me tips on how to package my item correctly because shipping can be harsh. (The old workers would not have done that or even care about your package.) Came in one day when they were busy, and instead of trying to rush a confuse person she went through everything step carefully so they understood. And everyone waiting didn't mind because when it was their turn, they were treated with the same level of kindness and respect. Definitely can say that I now recommend coming to this UPS. Lisa was super helpful, she really went the extra mile to help me with whatever i needed so i gotta give credit where it's due. i went to ship a small electronic drum pad and had the label but needed a box to put it in. she helped me find the perfect box, cut it down to size and added extra padding to keep it from bouncing around. i wasn't expecting such outstanding customer service but im glad i found it here. thank you Lisa and EJ, you guys make it work read more

I am convinced this location stole my package. Sent a package out on 07/15 and was supposed to arrive to its location on 07/20. On 07/24 the only tracking history available is shipping label created. I returned today to follow up. Immediately the woman helping me asks if she created the label and I said I didn't remember, she then eagerly responds "good and to not say it was her." What the hell? How is that professional? She soon after pawned me off to another worker after acting dodgey, he did not help to resolve my issue either. I was told a claim would be filed for $100. I explained that I was only asked what the items were, two rings, never was I asked their value. Then I'm told that all I'll get from UPS is $100 because that's what's on the shipping receipt. As if, we already know the package will never be found. Don't you guys have to at least look for it first? He continues to tell me that this has happened before, which prompts me to ask, why are you not asking your customers the value of their items? And he continues to tell me it's my responsibility to provide that info. I'm sorry, I don't work for UPS, It's not my responsibility to ask or provide the right information it's UPS's job to ask the questions required to perform their job effectively. That's exactly why we pay for their service. He tells me he can file a claim in the store since it's the location where I TRIED to ship the package from. I asked if I'll receive any sort of confirmation that a claim will be submitted. He then tells me to call tomorrow because they're busy today. For something that wasn't my mistake it sure seems like it's my responsibility to resolve a problem caused by store staff. Then I asked what happens between "label created" and "on the way" on the tracking app. I'm told that "on the way" means it was scanned at the warehouse. During all of this I see a man in the background gathering all packages for shipment, takes them to the back of the UPS truck and continues to scan them. Hm, small warehouse on wheels. I never want to use UPS again after this incident. I called the UPS Store in the morning around 9:00am before coming into the store. I needed to get a personal record review of my fingerprints for my employer. I spoke to Calvin over the phone to make sure this location accommodated fingerprinting. He said it did. I asked him for the price, and he told me $40. I repeated, "Okay, so it costs $40?" And Calvin replied, "Yes." Then I thanked him and ended the call. When I was in store between 2:30-2:45pm, Alexandria was helping me out. She told that the cost would be $58 for using my debit card. I said to her that I spoke to Calvin over the phone, and he said it was only $40. Alexandria replied, "Nope. It's $58." Calvin was also present when I was speaking to Alexandria. I told her I called this morning and Calvin gave me a $40-quote. Calvin then said, "I told you $47." Unfortunately, even if he had told me $47, which he did not, that is STILL over a $10 difference than the $58 I was being charged. Neither Calvin nor Alexandria apologized for Calvin's mistake. He actually walked away while I was talking to him, and would not even look me in the eyes. I only hope this location has surveillance cameras so upper management can see how rude Calvin was being to me. I did not raise my voice, and I did not get angry. I told Calvin it was unfortunate that he gave me the incorrect price over the phone, and he didn't seem to care at all. What Calvin needs to learn is that when you are working in customer service, the customer is always right. Although Alexandria was pleasant when she was doing my fingerprinting, both she and Calvin could use A LOT more practice on their customer service skills. I am getting reimbursed from my employer, so it really doesn't matter to me how much it costs. However, I was grossly turned off by their poor customer service. I will NEVER get my fingerprinting at UPS again. Next time I will pay the $5 bridge toll to drive into Marin County, where you can get fingerprinted for $18 NOT at the UPS store, and the customer service is amazing. GO THE EXTRA MILE TO USE A DIFFERENT UPS STORE!! read more

We have to use the computer to print really ??? $3.50 for using the computer and another 35 cents for every minute . Plus printing per page. I went to this UPS Store to drop off a package which already had a UPS label on it. All I needed to do was drop off the package, get them to receive it, and get a receipt. Have done this at many other UPS Stores in the past prior to Covid, during Covid, and after Covid. All the other UPS Stores have lifted their mask requirements, as all other places in the country. But not this place. The Gestapo woman who was wearing a cloth face mask that looked very thin as when she moved it fluttered in the movement, that had an image on it (not sure what it was actually) stopped what she was doing and yelded at two of us walking into the store "Put on a mask!" The other person and I both said in unison, "I don't have a mask". She then told us to leave and come back with a mask on. He left and went to his vehicle I peresume to get a mask. I didn't have any. There is no requirement anywhere anymore except for some medical facilities that I have run into this issue since about December. So I did the best I could. Pulled up my jacket, and approached the Gestapo woman. She asked, "Are you just dropping off? Affirmed the drop off and she scanned it and handed me the receipt. It tool longer for her to tell me to get a mask and not come back until I had one than it took for her to scan and hand me the receipt. As a side note to all of this, he co-worker who was wearing a mask, did not have it on covering their nose, and at one point with two other customers, pulled it down. Really? Could a UPS store be PERFECT?? Yes this one is above perfect. This location is super outstanding. The parking is not great but the service is so worth it. The staff and management always greet me and treat me like the queen has arrived and I always receive top notch service. They always answer their phones and always are wiling to help no matter how busy they are. The staff over year ago was average. Went here yesterday (5-29-19) about 3:00 pm to get a document notarized and was told their Notary Public person wasn't available and would "come out" in 14 minutes (assuming in the back room on a break). I waited about 25 minutes (sometimes the only customer in the store) before leaving in disgust. I was sent here from the San Pablo Town Center Store because their Notary had left for the day. After spending an hour and a half, traveling and waiting at these 2 stores for ZERO service, I Will NEVER go to ANY UPS store again. Wow, talk about horrible customer service!! I stopped in to drop off a pre-paid UPS package. All I needed was a little tape to seal the box. While I was waiting in line I used the tape gun that was laying on the counter to seal my box. And when I went to hand the box the employee of the store he said I owed him $1.50 for the Tape i used. I go to UPS Stores all the time and all over the place, and I have never once been charged for 12 inches of tape. I told the guy I'm sorry, and I didn't know the tape wasn't free. I tried to explain to the grumpy old man that every other UPS store I have ever been to has never charged me for such a small amount of tape. Hoping he could understand my thought process.... He didn't care. If fact, he kicked me out of the store and refused to take my pre-paid package. WTF? I guess business is so good at this store they can be EXTREMELY rude to customers and not care. One star is being generous... Very poor Customer Service. I sent my son in to drop off a package to return an erroneous order. A lady with red hair by the name of Toni was simply rude to my son when asked if it was a drop off and he, only being 10 years of age stated he was bringing in the package for return. I rarely leave reviews because I usually just let things go but I had a bad experience here today. Usually when I go to this location to return Amazon packages, it goes well but not today. The lady helping me was wonderful, as usual but the store manager was not so friendly this time around. If anything, she was quite rude. Every time I come here, I back into the parking space because it's hard to get out with all of the cars going by and no one wants to stop for you to reverse out of the parking spot. Today, I also had a large package that was quite heavy so I thought wow, I got lucky to park right in front today....As I'm in the middle of my return, she is staring at my car and is like "that car is on and revving engine, why is that car still on" so I look back, and I said "oh that's my car" and she literally rolls her eyes (I don't even know if she noticed she did this! So RUDE) and says "your fumes from the exhaust is coming in here because someone's revving, we don't like it when people back into these spots" I said "oh, I'm sorry" and she walks away after giving me a stank look. Firstly, NOBODY was revving my engine cause nobody was in the drivers seat and Nowhere does it say that I can't back into the parking space or leave my car running for my elderly mother and young daughter who is sitting in the car waiting for me. I was in there less than 5 minutes and she was being rude because I backed my car in the parking spot. I've never had an issue here before but after today, I will not be back to this location. I use this location for everything for the convenience but I guess I'll drive down Fitzgerald to that location instead. Don't come here if you don't have patience or can't bite your tongue.. if it was the old me, I would've cussed her out.
