There were a lot of people working here with nothing to do. They completed my livescan quickly though, and it was only $30. I would give 5 stars, but when I called to ask questions about the livescan services before coming by, the woman on the phone was kind of condescending...like she was confused about why I didn't know everything about livescans already. read more

Beware of using this place as an Access Point. When shipping packages to this location as an Access Point, they are required to allow customers to pick up from them without any charge to the recipient. This location charges $5 and I have just filed a complaint to their corporate office advising this. read more

My partner and I had to ship 2 boxes and have been dreading it after having a really rude experience with USPS. We decided to try UPS, but we were ready to deal with any negativity/stress but that's when we met Cinda at UPS 1612 (I asked her what store so I could write her a review.) From start to finish she was EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable and answered every question with a smile and even made us laugh. Her service was above and beyond and that is so rare to find these days. Both of us are managers and we were so blown away by her service. She is definitely an asset to the team. She stayed on our minds throughout the day and we are so thankful for this location because we will handle everything here! Katrina was very thorough in packaging a present for my nephew, ensuring that I was able to send it the most cost-effective route, and being very customer oriented throughout the transaction. I have had a mailbox at this UPS Store for over a year now, and I've had nothing but excellent service from Snow, Maria, and Toni since day 1. These ladies are fantastic, as they are not only great at what they do, but they are committed to getting to know their customers. My only gripe is that the new owners made a huge mistake when they let Toni go a few weeks back. She was a true asset to the store. I made an appointment online at ups.com for 9 am with a notary public at this UPS Store. Got the email confirmation and everything! ormally, I love this location, usually folks here are super helpful. Not today. I was told that they don't make appointments and that their Notary doesn't come in until 11. The moral of this story: don't believe in email confirmations from UPS, folks. UPS is the worst!! What's the point in paying 2 day shipping?? UPS left a note that my package was going to be left at this location and available to pick up the following day. Went in this morning and said they don't have my package. Ridiculous. They told me to call the other location down the street, and boy did I give them a mouth full. Customer service is bull! Walked in to drop off a package. No "Hello" No "Welcome" No "Nothing" . A lady with Red Hair who was chit-chatting basically just said "I'll give you a receipt" Okay, so she knows what I'm here for yet no questions asked but ANOTHER lady walks in and she's all like "Hello!!!" Maybe she was a regular who knows but this red head lady and the other two gentleman in this store have poor customer service. Went by this location at about 8am this morning to drop off two UPS packages (already labeled). I hadn't checked the hours beforehand, and was bummed to see that it didn't open until 9. This store does not really deserve the 1 star, but it's required. I walked in to return rented college textbooks, as this is the closest location to home I decided to go here. I had a printed shipping label, but the box was not taped however it was ready to go. Calvin, the cashier told me it was $1.50!!!! to tape the box. I thought he was kidding and ignored it, then he started to ring me up. I explained how is that no even in San Francisco they charge such a fee. Then he got offensive saying that this was Richmond, and that in Richmond they charge a fee. I could have bought a roll of tape for $2 and tape everyones boxes that walked in for free, and they have the nerve to charge $1.50 for a strip of tape!? I told him that was the last time I walked into that location, I'm better off using a San Francisco location near work. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. The customer service is horrible. They don't give you accurate price quotes and fail to mention that there are additional fees for using a credit card. The first time I went here I was mailing a letter and needed to buy one stamp. The employee rang me up and when I handed over my credit card, she mentioned that there was a $5 minimum for credit cards. The second time I came here to buy an international stamp and was very rudely told that they don't sell international stamps. What kind of mailing/shipping place doesn't sell international stamps? The third, and final, time I came here because I needed to get a livescan. I expected to have to pay a rolling fee, but their rolling fee is $30 (much more expensive than other places). I decided to just pay because I needed the livescan. After I was done, I tried to pay with credit card, I was told that $30 is the cash price and that it would be $33 to pay with a credit card. Why would they not tell me upfront that there were additional charges? The employee gave me an answer like "That's just the way it is". I asked to speak to a manager and the manager and was given the same answer. The manger was rude an unaccommodating, and did not apologize. This place is overpriced and they fail to mention all of their hidden fees. I won't be returning to this location. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Used the notary public at this store. Needed an Advanced Health Care Directive notarized for surgery coming up in a couple of days. Notary made an error and I had to come back the next day so this could be corrected. Though this really inconvenienced me while trying to get things done before my surgery, this wasn't what I found most irritating. What I found inexcusable was that the young woman involved showed no sign of being apologetic let alone a direct verbal apology that common consideration and professional behavior would dictate. In her favor, she did attend to me immediately, corrected the error without hesitation and was professionally expeditious. read more

I have been using UPS Store, & Fedex/Kinko stores for all my business's shipping needs for many many years. And this store is by far the best store I have used. Their customer service is excellent, offers great attention to details, and also variety of services. I will continuously use this specific store for years to come. I went in to ship two items and their clerk was extremely helpful. She gave me a few options for shipping rates and dates and was very thorough. I really appreciated it. I have used this store for many things and each time the counter staff have always been personable and helpful. My packages have been expertly packed and shipped. I had to give this UPS store a star to do the review... but I am really giving it A -10 if I could!!!!!! Just left the store and had a ground package with a return label to Nike requests if label could be printed a counter was told for five dollars I can log into their computer and print it!!!!!! Unheard of wine labels already created.... employee who was not helpful at all.... And actually lie to me about that...... Previously visit different UPS store and label was printed with no problem and no cost... this is why I close my UPS account in the first place they don't deliver packages on time their drivers are really slow in their UPS stores are always trying to get over..... I now ship all my packages to FedEx and the United States Postal Service and don't have this problem unfortunately some of the business I still deal with uses UPS..... If i could give them NO stars, i would. I've never yelped but my experience was so horrible that i decided to do this. This was my first time at a UPS store and I'm extremely discouraged to go back. I had an older man help me, but he wasn't much help. While he was "helping" me, the lady next to him made a mistake with somebody else's order. Then a younger girl helped me, talk about the rudest person. I was asking her questions to try to understand why i had to pay for shipping since i had ordered from Zappos.com and had brought all of my original packaging and she answered every question with the worst attitude. i was just trying to understand what i could do next time and how i could get an RS paper, so i asked her how they looked and how i could get them but she just wouldn't give me any information. read more
