My initial experience here a couple years back involved an unpleasant interaction with the owner. Bad day all around I think -- but much improved since. I use this UPS store as a mail drop for my expat son and for typical parcel services like Amazon Prime returns and the occasional personal overnights. For my needs, this store is convenient, reliable and responsible. Top Tip: Parking on this stretch of Ridgewood Avenue is a bear, especially around lunch time during the week, and pretty much all day on Saturdays. Plan accordingly and snag a spot a couple of blocks away to avoid circumambulation headaches. ;) read more

I have been wanted to write this review for the UPS store in Ridgewood but never got around to it... The employees and manager of this store are absolutely the best people I have come across in shipping my products to all my customers. Either large inventory box to Amazon or shipping on my own, these boxes can get quite heavy and at this UPS they always always extend beyond their duty to help me! I came in here with two 60lb boxes to be shipped. I told the lady, (who appeared to be the manager or owner) that I had back trouble and couldn't lift the boxes onto the scale by myself. She told me that she had back problems too. So we lifted them together. I said, "well you're in the wrong business." She said, "looks like you are too." I said, "I'm not in the shipping business." After all was said and done, she proceeded to explain to me that the prepaid labels I was shipping with, stated "50lbs," and the boxes actually weighed 15lbs over that weight... And "that's how people get hurt." Call me crazy, but if you run a business called the UPS Store, then you had better be prepared to HAPPILY be doing some lifting of all kinds of parcels throughout the day. Go hire a strong arm for your business if you have back problems... You're representing the United Parcel Service and they don't cry about lifting boxes. That's what they do all day long. Had a reason to use the notary service here during Covid times. This location was picked because it was a halfway point for my sister and I to meet to get some forms notarized. They used all the precautions to make it a clean and easy process. I had a little glitch with some papers on my end and they were able to resolve it right away. We use the Ridgewood UPS Store for many things and they've been great for all of them. We send ebooks we buy to them via email and they print them. They've copied and bound out-of-print material for us. We are part of Ridgewood Jamboree, a big, annual volunteer project here, and we send them over 100 PDFs of charts of the band, which they print, hole punch, and put into notebooks for us. And we ship with them, too. They have been unfailingly pleasant and professional to deal with, and I like that they accept packing material for recycling, too. read more

I have had nothing but great experiences at the UPS Store in Ridgewood. Everyone that I have interacted with at this location is professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. I ship packages to my son, who is away at college, and have never had a problem with shipping or delivery. Highly recommend them. Only downside to this location is the parking in Ridgewood. It can be difficult during peak hours, so I recommend you try going there weekday mornings or after lunch hour is over. read more

Awful experience...I will never ever go back...They charged me a ridiculous amount of money for literally putting an item in a box. I understand paying for a box...but paying to put my item in it?? huh??? When I asked if I could just place it in myself to avoid the charge...They said NO..It's a liability...What??
