Holy snail where to begin........ Ok, if you want expensive, slow, overpriced shipping this is your place. Today I paid the idiot tax and I'm not proud of it. Issue number one: I was charged $5 for a box. It wasn't a great big, honking, box but a 3in by 3in by 3in box (about the size of your hand). Apparently it was special cardboard Issue number two: I had a package that was less than a pound, .74 to be exact and they charged me $30. Now, I know what you're thinking "he's shipping this to China". Nope, I was shipping it one state over. So thirty dollars to ship a package of less than a pound one state. Spectacularly expansive. UPS made all their profit on my back today. Last issue the actual service: now you'd think that a platinum box price and expensive would equal overnight shipping or some extra dope new technology in delivering packages......... you'd be wrong. Not only was this package expensive to ship the material expensive to buy but the service is guaranteed to be slow. Try a week to move this package ONE STATE. SICK. SO TODAY I PAID THE IDIOT TAX SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO. Learn your lesson from me and skip this store unless you absolutely have to go here or you like being robbed. I had to reply, because I left a comment and they came back with their rebuttal. I have been in this store several times and when my package going out had to be taped, they told me I had to buy a whole roll of tape. Worse UPS store ever crazy and lazy guys at that location off van buren , they play mind gamess, they didn't want to help us , we had a big return and this guy told us to leave lol because we were supposingly yelling at him lol but we we never did he would know if we were yelling at him it would be way way louder lol , i think he just wanted to get out of helping us because it was to large of an order , so we went to fedex and they helped us out perfectly, fedex told us the same thing that we believed also that those guys were just lazy at ups and they didnt just want to help us, So if you ever have a large return like 8 big boxes or more dont go there, go to FedEx instead better staff of people and customer service read more

I have always used UPS for all my shipping needs. This location just ruined all the great experiences I've had. Went to this location about a week ago. The store was very busy, and shortly after I arrived, the line behind me got longer. I let the associate know I had a very valuable package to ship to Manhattan. I clearly told her that I needed to purchase packaging to ensure the package would not be damaged in transit. I reiterated the same thing over and over. She inspected the package and said it was already packaged properly and that she would just add more shipping tape and labels. She then told me the total, and I simply paid for the transaction. I had no idea, that she would answer all the shipping questions on her own without asking me if that would later block me from filing any claim. Well, my gut was right. Packaged arrived damaged, and ups disposed my package without my consent. I reached out to the location, and the manager was not willing to help. Without doing any research into the matter, she did not speak to associate or look at camera footage. Simply said there was nothing she can do. Well, I have now reported this business to the business better bureau. As of now, they did not have a profile with them. I took the liberty of submitting this business to be added and am pursuing legal action. I called this store for a package that was delivered to me by UPS last night. It was obviously tampered with. The seal tape cut and retaped. I called the company for a replacement, but they did not send me a return label. A guy from this UPS store who answered me said, "As long as it is unopened, I can help you. Just bring it in." So, I did take it to the store. The guy, who I presumed was the one I talked to, was busy with a customer. So the other associate, Andrea, attended to me. She just flat out refused to help even though I told her that the guy told me to come over and that he would help. She was just firm on saying, "No." I looked at the guy, and he just kept quiet. What kind of associates are these two? I just had surgery 3 days ago, and I asked for help to take the box back to my car, and the guy immediately offered help. He was about to pick the box up but, for some reason, changed his mind after looking back at Andrea. He gave me a dally so I could wheel out the box. And demanded for me to bring it back to the store, but I said he could get it. He threatened to call the police! FOR WHAT? My goodness, these 2 associates need a lesson in customer service. I give two for location because it's close to home but this store is unreliable. I called ahead to ask about live scan services and was told they were available between 11:30am to 5pm. I showed up at 4pm and waited in line to be told that the person who does live scan went home at 3pm. Would've been nice to know that their times are unreliable and they also don't take appointments for the live scan. I called back the next day multiple times to see if someone was available again and the phone just rang endlessly. Ridiculous, I won't be trying to use this store again. read more

Staff is very unprofessional and rude. Laughed off an inquiry on why staff doesn't wear masks given we are still is stage 2 of reopening. "We haven't gotten sick" their survivor bias is disappointing given their customer's safety should be a priority regardless of personal beliefs. There is no air circulation (door closed)in this small location and no capacity restrictions. Disappointing as I was hoping this would be my "amazon drop off" hub, but as there were ppl standing inches away from me that won't happen. Staff and manager thought customer's safety was hilarious. Incredibly rude service by a manager. I had a unique situation in returning something with Amazon. She did not listen to anything I had to say and cut me off multiple times when trying to explain. My father jumped in, annoyed by the way she was talking to me and when she still refused to help us, he said let's go somewhere where they will actually help us. And she told us "Fu*k you, get the fu*k out. To which my father turned around and cursed back at her. Which yes, he shouldn't have. She followed us outside to our car and continued to yell at us, she threatened to call the cops and even took our license plate. I have no idea what this lady's real issue was. Worst UPS Store expirence!!! Dont send any NDA packages because the Owner will not take any responsibility for it! Been over a month dealing with an undelivered package that was suppose to arrived NDA. The owner is refusing to refund my expenses from a service package that was suppose to arrive next day. We stayed an additional day in hotel for item(medicine) to arrive. Which ultimately arrived 16 days later. This is not okay! Unceptable, this was not the service i paid $110 for. The service i received made the items arrived 16 days later. The owner refuses to take responsibility does not want to refund for any of the cost for their delay and says its UPS is at fault. She was rude and plain out say that not my problem. That might just not be her problem but your selling a service as a UPS. As the owner do your part and take responsibility that the service your offering is trash! I won't be coming back, they sure take your money but wont resolve anything for ya. read more

Along with other friends, we have been talking about the newly took over store, we all have been customers of this location for over a decade. In the last few months, we've been having issues with the customer service provided by the new employees, slow and unable to answer the questions. The system always have problems... One staff particularly (Miriam) + the store's new owner, the speed and personal manner(both are rude, not acknowledged customers, make them wait when there is no customers, unfamiliar with the system and lashing out to customers because they have a bad day, rolling their eyes up, talk down to customers....) The unprofessionalism is unbelievable!! I got a notification from UPS that my package was delivered to this UPS Store and was awaiting pickup. Not sure why they didn't deliver it to my home, but the email notification said that it "streamlines" my home delivery service. I drove to get the package, waited in a short (2 people in front of me) line, and the employee sighed and said "I'm sorry but I don't have time to look for your package. We're just too busy. It's probably here somewhere." Gotta say...I'm a pretty patient person, but this is unacceptable. It's the holiday season and people are shipping and receiving packages. Part of your service is allowing people to pick up what UPS drivers delivered. I'm in shock as to how this employee felt that this is an acceptable course of action. read more

The store is spacious unlike some UPS stores (no fault on those stores) I just like to have room in any store I'm in now since the pandemic. After working at this store, the associates are wonderful, it's the store owner that is the issue and unfortunately this comment came from most of my customers. I was someone that covered for others being sick, working from 7:45 am till closing, 6pm, where I would only get one 30 min break because there wasn't enough staff. I would get complimented all the time for my hard work, effectiveness, and efficiency even with my customers stating this straight to the owner only for her just to say, 'ok'. Also in my time working here, because I was alone working by myself in the morning, I would get harassed by certain customers. I've been kissed on the neck by a customer and after telling this to the owner and the manager, no serious action was taken. Then another incident happened where another customer kissed me on my head, again it was brought up to the owner and again no serious action was taken. I would be by myself in the morning from 7:45 am till whenever my coverage came in at 9:30 or 10am, and I would feel SUPER uncomfortable with some customers that would comment on how pretty I was and 'should wear make up to make my eyes pop.' This comment made me feel so uncomfortable it made me want to quit. This incident happened just with in this last week of my employment with the UPS store, the first week of August. Other comments from my customers about this store,' Im going to the alessandro store because they are customer friendly.' 'Your manager has an attitude problem.' 'Your store owner doesn't know what she is doing.' The most common one I got from my regulars were, 'if you are no longer working here, I won't come back.' I take pride in providing excellent customer service, and it pains me to have to quit this ups store all because of the legality of how the store is ran. read more

I'll go to the one further from my house next time. Charged me a dollar to tape up a box for Amazon drop off. The bad attitude clerk told me they have to tape up so many boxes every day that they have to charge for it. And they don't make anything for the drop-offs. (I thought they would like having a way to get people in the door with minimal effort, but apparently not.) I was on my lunch break and needed to get it done, so I gave her a buck.
