I went in today to get documents notarized. The attendant made a copy of the signature file along with my driver's.. I don't get things notarized often, but I do not remember ever the notary making nor keeping a copy of the document... I called another UPS location and I was informed that NO, the notary does not keep a copy. That is not acceptable... I had to drive all the way back and retrieve that document. And it wasn't even stored in a secure way, it was just in a unlocked drawer with a lot of other papers, maybe other customer's official documents as well! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. There is a lot of personal information on these types od documents that need to be notarized! Shame on you!! Your location cannot be trusted! Note: I talked to Christian, at the Livernois location to confirm this. He said he has been a notary for 10 years and there is no reason to make nor keep a copy of the notary page.... PLEASE, if you have allowed this location to provide you with notary services, your documents may also have been kept.. With personal information being sold to the highest bidder, this stores business practices should be put under scrutiny.. I will be filing a formal complaint. read more

The redhead girl with glasses doesn't seem like her job, always give attitude when I asked to make a return package. I know I have to pay for the label, but she didn't give me the change back, even if it's a small amount, with her attitude I don't want to consider it's a tip. I went the iOS store to get a package shipped out. there was an issue with the order and address. now this wasn't their fault. however the owners / manager gave me an 800 # to call. she was not very helpful and i found her tone and demeanor to be in acceptable. Seems like every time I go to the UPS store in Rochester, Michigan, I am met with unfriendly associates, who often make snarky comments about other customers after they leave the store. Makes me wonder if they're making snarky comments about me too. It's just poor customer service. read more

The absolute worst UPS store I've ever gone to. Such rude staff. They wanted to charge me for asking for a piece of tape. I said never mind I'd take my packages elsewhere and she said I couldn't because she already checked them in. I went to this store to ship a package and when I told them that I wanted it insured for $1,000.00 the drama started. They asked if I had a problem with them opening the package and looking at the content (parachute harnesses) and I said no but be careful if you use a knife so as not to damage them. I was told by the team member that I would have to use one of their "UPS approved" boxes (for additional fees) even though my box was brand new and used to ship the equipment in our industry. Then comes the manager who says that each harness (four) would have to be individually wrapped with bubble wrap and re-packaged by them at my expense. Now the total is over $100.00. At that point I was tired of the add-ons and asked for my box and items back. I went home put the items back in the box, taped it up, and drove to a regular UPS facility that accepted it and insured it for $1,000.00 with a smile and a chuckle when I told them what happened at The UPS Store. My final bill was $41.00 and while I don't mind paying a little extra for the convenience 300% + is a little excessive. I'm not sure that people realize that stores aren't owned by UPS and that you can sometimes be paying a HUGE price for convenience! read more

Returning a package to Amazon and they wanted to CHARGE me $1.04 to tape it closed, I bought my own roll of packing tape for $1.88 and closed it myself using $.08 cents worth of tape! Poor customer service. I'll stick to the UPS store in BLOOFMIELD much better customer service!! read more

I had to ship something to my son in Europe. It was a special neck pillow. The manager helped me fill out the paperwork properly because the Italian post is very particular about what you are shipping and where the product was made. I had no idea it would be as complicated and she helped this package get through with ease. Every time I have brought packages in, the service has been friendly, quick and efficient. read more

Counter folks were nice. Management at this location was rude and unhelpful. I had a prepaid return that I dropped off. No big deal. Went in with no issues. The next day, I came home in the package is sitting on my front porch. Somehow the manager said the UPS guy must've skanned the wrong label. Imagine it could happen. My complaint is the managers attitude. I don't know if she was the owner or the manager but she claims she is only at that location once a month and basically my inconvenience is my problem, even though I have been that her store. No solution, no sympathy. No nothing. So now I have to be inconvenienced and re-drop it off again. I know there are mistakes, but once again, this is the bedside manner of the manager. That's why I hate going into these little stores. Next time, I will do everything that I can to use FedEx. Go FedEx! read more

The people here have always treated me well. They have no control beyond their store - so don't blame them for what happens elsewhere. Yes it costs a lot to have things boxed up instead of doing it yourself. They have always offered to help me get things to my car that were too difficult to carry. At least they don't steal your stuff like the Post Office. read more

The employees here are do not treat people right at all. Impudent, unprofessional, insulting and immature. UPS is getting as bad as the airlines when it comes to nickel and diming you to death. The customer service at this store is poor and the workers are disorganized. Recommend you go somewhere else. read more
