I visited the Staples at 6770 Stanford Ranch Rd, Roseville, CA on 8/29 around 2 PM, and the experience was so shockingly bad that it cost this store -- and likely the company -- a significant purchase opportunity. I came in not only to complete two returns (a Happy Return and an Amazon return) but also to evaluate Staples as a potential vendor for a large bulk order of equipment and supplies for multiple offices. I never even made it to the shopping portion of my visit because the customer service was that hostile. The store layout was confusing and the signage contradictory, so I approached the balloon desk for help. The female associate dismissed me, pointed vaguely toward the Amazon lockers, and when I said I was confused, she condescendingly told me to "use my eyes" and marched slowly while pointing at arrows on the floor as if I were incapable of understanding basic directions. When I told her she was being rude, she replied, "I'm autistic," as though that excused her behavior. It does not. At the register, things escalated. Before even greeting me, Rhett loudly said, "We have to deal with customers' dumb questions all day!" He repeatedly talked down to me, pointed in my face, and ultimately yelled, "If you don't like the way we do things and think we're rude, pack up your returns and get out!" He shoved an Amazon contact card at me, clearly trying to avoid doing Amazon returns altogether. He also gave me incorrect instructions about where to complete my Happy Return -- proving the confusion I originally asked about was valid. As I walked to the correct area, he used the store communication system to portray himself as the victim, prompting another associate to make passive‑aggressive comments about "rude customers" within earshot of me and the only other shopper in the store. The Happy Returns associate then watched me stand in line without assisting me for an extended period, despite the store being nearly empty. This location is being run by employees who are openly hostile, dismissive, and unprofessional. Their behavior didn't just ruin a simple return -- it directly cost Staples a substantial business purchase I was prepared to make. I will not be returning, and I will strongly advise my firm to avoid Staples entirely.

I…read morehaven't done publishing in a while but figured I'd brush off the laptop and see what could be done. After creating a file, it was time to find a printer. We looked online and debated sending out the project to mail-in companies but then decided to come on Yelp to possibly find someone local. Discovered Minuteman Press. My husband said that he remembered Minuteman Press in different locations, so we realized it's a chain/franchise. I called the Roseville location and was told that they could do calendar printing but they were unable to give quotes without seeing the project in person. So in early December, we stopped by with a flash drive. The location was easy to find and had plenty of parking. We were greeted by employee Courtney. We had expected to get a quote right then and there but found out that quotes would be given via email. I guess it goes to the owner/manager who gives the actual price estimate. We were anxious to get the price quote since it was early December and we wanted to have everything mailed out before the new year. We received the price quote via email the next day, I believe. I was very impressed by their system---you could change the quantities in your order and it would adjust the price and the down payment amount. Originally we wanted a quote for 20 but after seeing the quotes for 40, we opted to do that instead. Their employees are quick at responding to emails and everything is very professional. They'll even print stickers! We picked up our calendars in mid-December and were pleased with the results. Pricing was great and the turn-around time was reasonable. We had a small issue about the hole punching on a few of the calendars but they've promised to redo those few for us. They have an amazing Yelp discount on your first order so make sure you take advantage of that! So glad to have this business in Roseville!

FedEx Office Print & Ship Center - Rick and Manager Jon, cool guys!

Special thank you and shout-out to Rick and Jon at Fedex Rocklin for their excellent customer…read moreservice! My husband wanted to get a foam-mounted poster printed for a car show that Sunday. In the past, we had printed a poster at our local Staples store but this time we had to look at other options since in-store pickup wasn't available and we would need it delivered. We did some research and found that Fedex pricing was comparable AND the poster would be ready within 1-2 days, which was faster than other options like Office Depot, Vistaprint, Signs.com, etc. We uploaded our file on a Tuesday around noon. The estimated finish time would be Weds, which was perfect. Then around 6:40pm on Tuesday, we received an email saying that the poster was ready for pickup. Since they close at 7pm, my husband was excited and decided he wanted to pick up the poster before closing. When he came home, he was clearly very disappointed. The colors on the poster were a lot darker than anticipated and his blue car ended up looking like a black car! We weren't sure what to do, since it could have been our fault with the photos, right? And since the poster had already been printed, there was a chance the company would say, "Sorry, we went off your file and you have to accept the finished product." That night, we were kinda bummed.... I did some reading and research (on Reddit forums, lol) and many posts mentioned that print shops should be able to adjust the colors on their printing. I remembered back in my teaching days, when I was at the copy machine, I'd turn the darkness on my originals higher, so maybe that was what happened in our case---the darkness was too high. We decided it was worth a try to ask Fedex if they could somehow print it with lighter tones. Honestly we were kinda apprehensive when we walked into Fedex that day. Fortunately we were greeted by Rick, who listened to our woes and was super understanding and helpful. Soon Manager Jon walked over and we explained our concerns. I was so impressed by the patience and attention to detail that both of these employees showed us that day. Long story short (guess it's not that short anymore), a few hours later, Jon called and said he had adjusted some of the colors and that the poster was ready for pick up. When we got there, the reprinted poster looked so much better. My husband was so happy and grateful, because now he had a poster he could be proud of. We know redoing the poster required extra time, effort and printing costs for Fedex, so we are very thankful that Manager Jon took the time to make a customer satisfied. Excellent customer service and two wonderful, friendly guys who made the whole process enjoyable and boosting Fedex's reputation in our mind. Now if only Fedex would accept USPS packages for drop off, they would be perfect! ^_^ Thanks again, Rick, Jon and Fedex Rocklin!

Anyway, I have found myself coming to this location to drop off some online sales that the buyer chose twice in the same week. The store is located in the corner of the Target shopping center kind of by itself. This was formerly Kinkos way back when but come to find out that Fedex bought them so they still offer printing services that Kinkos once did. They also have a small selection of your basic office supplies at the highest price possible so you are paying for convenience. Both times I went in, all of the employees were professional, purposeful and helpful. No one was standing around doing nothing or socializing with one another. When I walked in, I was greeted and helped along with friendly chatter but not intrusive, bothersome or even patronizing. It was genuine. It Seems small but so rare these days. I left feeling good about my quick visit and will return soon I am sure! BTW, I have visited two other FedEx locations and did not get the same service so I must credit the management here.

The projected pickup time was 7pm, but I know it never actually takes that long for them to print the orders....especially when it's only 2 pages. I still hadn't gotten a confirmation email by 6pm, so I decided to just get in my car to go pick it up. Once I got there, I was informed that the website system had been either losing or grossly delaying the print order submissions all day, and my 54-cent order hadn't been received. Luckily, there were 2 very helpful employees that said, "Just email it to us and we'll print it." It took me some hassle to figure out how to do all that from my phone (I feel so Boomer trying to do ANYTHING on my phone), but luckily, I figured out how to send them what I needed and as promised, they printed it out for me and sent me on my way. The delay from the website is a huge pain in the a**, but I'm thankful for caring employees who helped me and got my order printed. Thank you!!
