Special thank you and shout-out to Rick and Jon at Fedex Rocklin for their excellent customer service! My husband wanted to get a foam-mounted poster printed for a car show that Sunday. In the past, we had printed a poster at our local Staples store but this time we had to look at other options since in-store pickup wasn't available and we would need it delivered. We did some research and found that Fedex pricing was comparable AND the poster would be ready within 1-2 days, which was faster than other options like Office Depot, Vistaprint, Signs.com, etc. We uploaded our file on a Tuesday around noon. The estimated finish time would be Weds, which was perfect. Then around 6:40pm on Tuesday, we received an email saying that the poster was ready for pickup. Since they close at 7pm, my husband was excited and decided he wanted to pick up the poster before closing. When he came home, he was clearly very disappointed. The colors on the poster were a lot darker than anticipated and his blue car ended up looking like a black car! We weren't sure what to do, since it could have been our fault with the photos, right? And since the poster had already been printed, there was a chance the company would say, "Sorry, we went off your file and you have to accept the finished product." That night, we were kinda bummed.... I did some reading and research (on Reddit forums, lol) and many posts mentioned that print shops should be able to adjust the colors on their printing. I remembered back in my teaching days, when I was at the copy machine, I'd turn the darkness on my originals higher, so maybe that was what happened in our case---the darkness was too high. We decided it was worth a try to ask Fedex if they could somehow print it with lighter tones. Honestly we were kinda apprehensive when we walked into Fedex that day. Fortunately we were greeted by Rick, who listened to our woes and was super understanding and helpful. Soon Manager Jon walked over and we explained our concerns. I was so impressed by the patience and attention to detail that both of these employees showed us that day. Long story short (guess it's not that short anymore), a few hours later, Jon called and said he had adjusted some of the colors and that the poster was ready for pick up. When we got there, the reprinted poster looked so much better. My husband was so happy and grateful, because now he had a poster he could be proud of. We know redoing the poster required extra time, effort and printing costs for Fedex, so we are very thankful that Manager Jon took the time to make a customer satisfied. Excellent customer service and two wonderful, friendly guys who made the whole process enjoyable and boosting Fedex's reputation in our mind. Blown away by the unprofessionalism at this location. They had two opportunities to communicate with me about a banner being finished, failed to do so. When I mentioned this an employee named Anthony raised his voice at me arguing that they left a voicemail and "they don't even print those here." I spoke with someone on the phone the previous day, even came to the location earlier that morning, and don't know why the delay/issue wasn't mentioned at that time. How am I suppose to know that if you don't communicate with me? I don't believe this voicemail he spoke of even exists tbh. So frustrating. read more

I have visited this location before. I was greeted right away and asked if I needed assistance. I did need and they did assist. I had to drop off a package and make copies. This place left me livid. I used them maybe a couple times and I have seen customers getting upset with the workers. They are so unhelpful and rude. Well I became one of those upset customers. I looked up the shipping price for the day, a couple hours before going to store. When I got there I was charged $30 more. Manager James Freese straight up told me a lie saying the gas price goes up so does the price.....yes that is true except for the fact I looked up the price for the very same day only 2 hours before. Then he proceeded to tell me the price is only for a scheduled at-home pick-up. The website clearly states the price is for both in-store and scheduled pick-up. Then he told me I could get the package back....so I told him to do so after confirming again the correct shipping rate on their website. Then he was unable to do so, because the package got scanned already. I told him that's what he told me I could do and he denied that he even said that at all...once again 100% lie. Not once he apologized for the inconvenience....Has he done that, I would have been just okay with it. But not only was he rude and unapologetic, he is a liar. James Freese fills customers with lies like we are stupid, saying that shipping rate changes hourly for the very same day and scheduled pick-up is cheaper than drop off, which anybody with common sense can figure out that is not true. read more

The online print ordering service is easy and convenient, especially when working remotely. It's disappointing that the simple act of picking up the order appears to inconvenience the employees. Greeting customers (after a 5 minute wait in line) with a lack of eye contact and "Do you have a question" is one step above "What do you want?" I'll take my business somewhere else. read more

FedEX as a company is supposedly supporting the mask mandate. But, I walked in mid-day, and there were 5 people behind the counter, but only 2 customers. They were all frantic (or confused) as they rushed around. Nobody in the store was wearing a mask... and 4 of the 5 had masks but were not wearing them. As I waited, a woman walked in the door without a mask on, looked at me and asked "do I need to get my mask?" to which a girl behind the counter said "it's mandated, but we are not enforcing it"... Really? And, these are the same people who are complaining that Covid is getting worse. If you are not supporting the solution, then you are the problem! read more

Lana was super helpful and helped me troubleshoot an issue I was having sending a file in for print. She thought outside of the box and printed the file from a photo, which worked great. She was extremely patient and friendly during the transaction. I was worried as it was end of day and busy in store, but Lana took the time to complete what I needed in a time crunch. I am very grateful to Lana and glad to know she is there to help if ever I'm in a jam again. BTW- My past visit all have been terrific and every employee seems happy and upbeat, which I appreciate! The only reason I come here is because I really need to print or photocopy stuff, which is at least once a week. Gotten used to no customer service, no "hi", no "welcome" or "welcome back", no "is everything okay?", nada. I have helped a handful of people who are staring at the machines, waiting for help. I have also helped a worker there already. And I also heard them gossiping about some of their coworkers being lazy, only wanting to stick to one assignment, the whole juice. lol. Very unprofessional. BUT at the end of the day, I need to do things in there so I will still have to go there. Super rude and disrespectful customer service. A woman behind the counter with blonde hair & a cross necklace (no name tag) "assisted" me today in dropping off a package. It was raining & windy outside & I was trying to tape my package but the tape got stuck & I couldn't peel it, so I just went in to ask them to tape it. I frequent the local UPS & they're always so sweet about taping anything. Instead of just taping it or telling me I'd have to buy tape and do it myself, this employee flung my package open without asking me if it was ok (it really wasn't) & started lecturing me about how it wasn't packaged properly & there wasn't enough packing material inside. I said the company packaged it, not me and I just wanted it taped. She made a big show of putting like 2 bits of crumpled up brown paper in my package and let me know that paper would be free this time, but "next time I see you in here, I'm charging you." What kind of a thing is that to say? I said, "oh, you can charge me." She refused & instead went on and on about how the package was packaged incorrectly & gave me a bunch of training info she was taught to back up why my package was incorrect. Literally, I would've paid $200 for the crumpled up paper to not have to listen to this woman's lecture. She even had the audacity to say, "I hope you don't feel like I'm lecturing you." I said, "I mean, yeah I kind of do." But she kept going. If it's such a hardship for FedEx to put some crumpled paper I didn't ask for and didn't want or need into a package I never consented to be opened, then I'm out. Never ever coming here again. A 60 second transaction ended up taking up my time unnecessarily and I was spoken to like I was an unruly child. Gross. read more

Realizing the protocol of sending out packages has changed because of COVID, I walked out at my last visit feeling really "exposed". Having to stand 6 feet away from the person who was helping me, I had to say (without discretion) my address, my phone number and was asked "what are the contents of your package?" with a room full of people able to listen to everything I was saying. It made me feel pretty nervous and tense. In the future, I'll write this down to give to them, but not having frequent experience with package drop-offs, I wish they had a better system that allowed more confidentiality than that! The Store Manager was extremely rude when I asked him for 5 FedEx envelops to send out 5 imported FedEx envelops. With prepaid labels and all. Avoid this location at at costs. If you absolutely must go in, do not speak or look at the old blonde lady. I have a small business and ship on a regular basis. I come in at least twice a week. I don't know her name, but if you hear her or fail to escape her - you will know exactly who I am talking about. She is the rudest, unhappiest person I have ever come across. Without fail, she finds a reason to bark at me as soon as I come through the doors. The way she communicates is so unkind. It's hard to believe someone can live like that. It may sound dramatic, but I DREAD going into the store because I know she's going to be there. If you can avoid this store, do so at all costs. I have never ever received such poor customer service in my entire life. I was rattled off instructions for the copy machine. I had trouble and a lady that worked there when I asked for help was screaming directions at me from across the room. She never once came to the copier to help me. My review is about FedEx ground shipping. I live in Rocklin, CA and bought a golf club on Ebay. It was shipped to Watsonville, CA, over 3 hours away. The FedEx site says it is "out for delivery," but estimated delivery was 5-6 hours ago. No human being is available by phone to clarify. Very strange. read more

I came in here today this was my second time coming here and I had to send back a return that I ordered online. Which didn't work out it was very nice I did not have to wait very long at all only one person ahead of me which was very nice given the fact that it's holidays and I got to get in and out they make it very convenient to do returns. They scan my phone put the stuff in the bag and told me to look out for my email. The lady working today was very friendly and very helpful this location is very clean and very well stocked with different sizes and cute holiday boxes to use to ship out your Christmas presents the prices are pretty affordable with there competitors which is very nice I highly recommend this establishment for anyone looking to mail off a package or for all of your business or personal needs they are awesome I will definitely be coming back here again very soon for more future visits thank you fed in rocklin you guys are awesome I appreciate all of your hard work happy holidays and merry Christmas read more

Well I was going to give them 3 stars but they apologized several times and said thanks for your patience. So I usually am at Arden, J street or Douglas. First and last time here and only went to this one because I was in the area. It was terribly small compared to others and understaffed. I thought I'd be in and out in maybe 15min at most but I was there for almost an hour just standing and waiting. All I needed was some prints on 8.5x11 in color, Kevin was nice but he was the only one there. A lady was just getting off so she was doing her clock off duties and at the same time telling him things/having a conversation with him about random things that only helped to distract him. Finally when he was ready to help me, I told him that I need them business card size, and they were saved in the correct format but it looked like there settings on the computer couldn't get it to print 10 on one page. So he went ahead and printed them all separately. And of course I was charged per page. Ended up being $10 more than it should have been, and he said that they could "reformat" it for $10, that's ridiculous. Other FedEx's are faster, and more courteous so I will not be coming back here. read more

I would give it 0 starts if I could. Do NOT have anything sent here if you can help it. Rachel... the "assistant manager" according to her name tag but said she was the manager should not be working in customer service. She would not give me my package that I had delivered there to avoid being stolen while I was out of town even though I gave her multiple IDs that had my name on them as well as the tracking number. She said she can not supply the package for fraudulent reasons since I just moved here and my drivers license had my address from the state I just moved here from. I showed her my lease agreement (with my name) and contract from purchasing a car here since getting relocated for my job in the military (which included my name and current address). I showed her a total of three IDs and 2 government forms of mail that had my current address on them. Finally she said (after 30 minutes of arguing with me) she realized that it WAS my name on the package and she was mistaken. Honestly, it was easier to buy my car when I moved here than to pick up a package my mom had sent me. Truly ridiculous and the argumentative tone that Rachel the "assistant manager" had with me from the very beginning was embarrassing for this establishment. Bummer to slam this location BUT they are the ones who packaged our gigantic framed memorabilia, to only have it arrive at it's destination a few hours away, COMPLETELY SHATTERED. Good thing we had it insured but it should never have even come to that. They're supposed to be versed in shipping fragile material and art work etc. There should be a system in place, they SHOULD have this down. Well, they obviously didn't. What a disappointment and a total pain to have to handle this moving forward with the recipient etc. Research OTHER OPTIONS before shipping something with value via FedEx (particularly from this location). read more

This is my first time visiting this location. -Two workers (male and female with red hair) -Three customers including myself -I'm the third to walk in, no "hello"...just quite. Awkward. - one of the customers was waiting at the desk to ship his package and reported that he still had not been helped.... the other lady was just browsing on her laptop....again 3 customers and 2 employees. Hi FedEx: I am a long time customer and have always been a fan of your customer service and on-time delivery. This is why I chose FedEx to ship some very urgent items to my sister in law, who is flying to India tomorrow because her mom, my mother in law is in the hospital. These items were handed over to a FedEx employee in store and I paid $164.26 for OVERNIGHT delivery. I was told that the package would be delivered by 8 PM on 12/22. She flies to India on 12/23 on a 10 am flight (so needs to be at the airport by 7 AM) - ideally everything would work out. But this is 2020, and of course the package is delayed. And I get that - believe me, I don't fault anyone for delays during these crazy times. It's what happened next that is quite shocking. I called to find out where my package is. The automated system would not let me through saying on multiple occasions - "this is the most recent information our agents have" and hanging up on me. When I called again, it said, are you calling about the package that you just called about, and hung up on me promptly once I said yes. So, I called the store where I dropped the package off - a gentleman by the name of Dustin was very helpful and transferred me to an agent. The first agent I spoke with told me that he is very sorry about my inconvenience and yet unable to help me. I went through this process a second time when Alisha (your agent) answered the phone. She checked on the package for me, and decided that since I did not pick the right product "PREFERRED OVERNIGHT" vs "STANDARD OVERNIGHT", it is quite okay that there was a delay. It was explained to me that since I picked the wrong FedEx product, I should expect a delay. I retorted that I, in fact, did not pick the product. I simply told the lady at the FedEx store that I need it to get there by 12/22 and she picked the product for me. I then asked if my sister in law can go and pick up her package tonight. I was told that this is not an option because the facility where the package sits right now closed at 7 PM. For an 8 PM delivery, this is no option. So now, I am out $164.26, the package is going to sit outside her house for a month, and I am never going to use FedEx again. Thank you. EDIT: When I prompted her, Alisha said that the package will be shipped back to me so it doesn't sit there for a month or more.
