Quoted me $42 for basic shipping on this box
    Christian K.

Terrible and inconsistent pricing. I just went there today and got quoted $42 for 5 day shipping on a tiny Amazon box that weighs 1-2 pounds. Lol Right after that I went to the other UPS store on Sunrise and Cirby. I got quoted $12 to ship the same box for 3 day shipping. I also brought a dirt bike part a while back in and they quoted me $90 for them to ship it and have them package it, I then asked them what if I would have my own packaging and he said it would be $60 roughly so I leave come back with my own packaging and somehow the price gets dropped down to $24. They must get commissions on sending stuff out or something. Avoid this store if you can. Save your money and go else where. Ups is great but not this store

UPDATED 3-5-2021: You may see the comment below from Duy N. It is absolutely inaccurate. If there is now a notice in this location about the policy change, it was put up AFTER I went in for a refund. I looked at the front door and literally everywhere else in the store, AND I took the extra step to ask the manager to point out where in the store the policy change was posted. He could not do so because it wasn't anywhere. Duy N. admits UPS policy is unfair but act unable to offer any assistance. Except I talked to UPS corporate already, and they said any franchise owner could absolutely issue a refund. It is crucial that we, as consumers, recognize the difference between a literal "we can't do that" and "we WON'T do it." What Duy N. is basically saying is, "Yeah, our hands are tied," except they aren't, and we'll do ZERO even though we caused the problem by failing to notify you of a policy change we know well. As respectfully as I can say this, Duy N.'s reply just amplified the shadiness of this entire situation. I asked Duy N. to get on a conference call with me and UPS corporate so we can see if this UPS Store is legally or contractually precluded somehow from giving me a refund (will they have to hand over their franchisee license?!?) I'll keep you posted on Duy N's reply. . . . Do NOT go here. I went in to mail a package to my mother on a Tuesday, thinking it probably wouldn't get there by the date I needed (Sunday). The clerk said for an extra $50, I could get three-day delivery for Friday. So I jumped on this offer. It would be there with time to spare! Except my mother didn't get the package until the following Monday, and it arrived demolished. It was sentimental, so I couldn't really insure it, but wow! Look at how the box arrived. But my issue wasn't the damage. When I went to get a refund for the expedited shipping that didn't happen, the manager advised me that he UPS corporate changed their policy because of COVID, and shipping was no longer guaranteed, which meant no refunds were permitted. I looked around the store, and there was signage everywhere relating to a variety of topics, but NONE of it announced that np refunds if they failed to, ya know, do the thing you paid the extra amount for them to do. I then showed the manager my receipt, which said "3-day shipping, expected delivery Friday." My receipt also had no reference to this new policy, and the employee certainly didn't mention it. So I contacted UPS corporate, and they informed me that the UPS Stores are all franchises, which is to say there was nothing stopping the store from giving me a refund. I'm not letting UPS corporate off the hook because they they had to go into the bowels of their website to forward me any reference to the COVID change, all it said was they were suspending "Guaranteed Service," but they didn't describe what that meant, nor do the words "no refunds if we fail" appear anywhere. I was induced to buy a service that they knew they couldn't guarantee, which is different than saying if they fail, we keep your money. If I had ANY idea I was basically playing a $50 slot machine, in no universe do I pay that extra money. So I said this to the manager: "Your employee said nothing about no refunds. Now look around the store, look at my receipt, and tell me how I would know about this unless I spend my free time on the UPS website scouring for policy changes before I send a package to my mom." He had no reply but to repeat "UPS isn't offering refunds." But since UPS said he could have absolutely given a refund, the guy is a liar. I didn't catch his name, but he was in the store at 3 p.m. on March 2, 2021. If this seems like overkill to anybody reading this, just know that I would NEVER do business this way. And UPS must know it, too, because the people at corporate said they're going to be working with all of their franchise partners to advise them what to say (and creating notices for their stores). If this has happened to you at any UPS Store, let me know. Smells like a class action lawsuit, and until I get this refund and they start telling every customer who pays extra that they will NOT get a refund if it fails, I will make it my mission to ensure this happens to nobody else.

We looked online and debated sending out the project to mail-in companies but then decided to come on Yelp to possibly find someone local. Discovered Minuteman Press. My husband said that he remembered Minuteman Press in different locations, so we realized it's a chain/franchise. I called the Roseville location and was told that they could do calendar printing but they were unable to give quotes without seeing the project in person. So in early December, we stopped by with a flash drive. The location was easy to find and had plenty of parking. We were greeted by employee Courtney. We had expected to get a quote right then and there but found out that quotes would be given via email. I guess it goes to the owner/manager who gives the actual price estimate. We were anxious to get the price quote since it was early December and we wanted to have everything mailed out before the new year. We received the price quote via email the next day, I believe. I was very impressed by their system---you could change the quantities in your order and it would adjust the price and the down payment amount. Originally we wanted a quote for 20 but after seeing the quotes for 40, we opted to do that instead. Their employees are quick at responding to emails and everything is very professional. They'll even print stickers! We picked up our calendars in mid-December and were pleased with the results. Pricing was great and the turn-around time was reasonable. We had a small issue about the hole punching on a few of the calendars but they've promised to redo those few for us. They have an amazing Yelp discount on your first order so make sure you take advantage of that! So glad to have this business in Roseville!

Although more convenient to buy these things on Amazon, I believe it's important to spend my money locally. That said, I will never step foot in this Staples again. I popped in to do an Amazon return then planned to purchase some printer ink. The last time I did an Amazon return at Staples, the counter was by the printer counter. It's now been moved to the cashier area. I walk in the store, normally get greeted but no one did. Walked to the printer area, saw the sign pointing me to the cashier area for Amazon returns. There are two cashiers, neither say anything to me but one makes eye contact. Each had a customer, no one else in the line. Both of them are obviously drawing out their transactions, I'm guessing no one likes Amazon returns. No biggie, I'll wait my turn. After a minute or two goes by, I ask if there is someone who works at the returns. I'm told someone will help me soon. Ok. The one guy, whose line I have been in on several trips and who is normally friendly and kind, finishes with his customer, looks around, sees an older lady with a cart full of items walking to the check out line. He stops right near where I'm standing, fully aware I'm there, takes the cart and kindly says to her, let me help you and proceeds to start scanning her items. She says, I'm not quite done, I was looking for a whatever. I say "hey, I was here first". In this snotty, condescending tone he tells me someone would be with me. I asked again if someone worked at returns. And again with the snotty tone he tells me "we all do and you have to wait your turn". I tell him I was there before the other lady and he knew it because he spoke to me. I left. Office Depot is close, Staples in Auburn has wonderful customer service and Amazon delivers. Staples on Stanford Ranch lost my business.

Special thank you and shout-out to Rick and Jon at Fedex Rocklin for their excellent customer…read moreservice! My husband wanted to get a foam-mounted poster printed for a car show that Sunday. In the past, we had printed a poster at our local Staples store but this time we had to look at other options since in-store pickup wasn't available and we would need it delivered. We did some research and found that Fedex pricing was comparable AND the poster would be ready within 1-2 days, which was faster than other options like Office Depot, Vistaprint, Signs.com, etc. We uploaded our file on a Tuesday around noon. The estimated finish time would be Weds, which was perfect. Then around 6:40pm on Tuesday, we received an email saying that the poster was ready for pickup. Since they close at 7pm, my husband was excited and decided he wanted to pick up the poster before closing. When he came home, he was clearly very disappointed. The colors on the poster were a lot darker than anticipated and his blue car ended up looking like a black car! We weren't sure what to do, since it could have been our fault with the photos, right? And since the poster had already been printed, there was a chance the company would say, "Sorry, we went off your file and you have to accept the finished product." That night, we were kinda bummed.... I did some reading and research (on Reddit forums, lol) and many posts mentioned that print shops should be able to adjust the colors on their printing. I remembered back in my teaching days, when I was at the copy machine, I'd turn the darkness on my originals higher, so maybe that was what happened in our case---the darkness was too high. We decided it was worth a try to ask Fedex if they could somehow print it with lighter tones. Honestly we were kinda apprehensive when we walked into Fedex that day. Fortunately we were greeted by Rick, who listened to our woes and was super understanding and helpful. Soon Manager Jon walked over and we explained our concerns. I was so impressed by the patience and attention to detail that both of these employees showed us that day. Long story short (guess it's not that short anymore), a few hours later, Jon called and said he had adjusted some of the colors and that the poster was ready for pick up. When we got there, the reprinted poster looked so much better. My husband was so happy and grateful, because now he had a poster he could be proud of. We know redoing the poster required extra time, effort and printing costs for Fedex, so we are very thankful that Manager Jon took the time to make a customer satisfied. Excellent customer service and two wonderful, friendly guys who made the whole process enjoyable and boosting Fedex's reputation in our mind. Now if only Fedex would accept USPS packages for drop off, they would be perfect! ^_^ Thanks again, Rick, Jon and Fedex Rocklin!

Anyway, I have found myself coming to this location to drop off some online sales that the buyer chose twice in the same week. They also have a small selection of your basic office supplies at the highest price possible so you are paying for convenience.
