I usually come here for my Amazon returns. I love how positive the staff are, while also not being too much. They just seem like genuinely happy people who love adding joy and positivity to your day. Never any issues with my orders after dropping them off. I've seen the being patience with complicated customers in front of me as well as with me when I have a handful of returns. The only advice I have is to be mindful of parking as it is mostly street parking and the Safeway parking right by it is usually very busy too. I come to this location often as it's next to my nail salon. Street parking out front or nearby Safeway lot. This UPS is small but efficient when returning online merchandise. The lines move quickly or no wait at all. Today I came in around noon on a weekday and was helped right away. The employees are chill but informative and quick to help. I dropped off my package pre-taped and ready to ship (they make you buy a roll of tape if you need help taping your package as it's a franchise unlike FedEx whom does it for free so keep this in mind) the employee scanned the QR code and gave me a drop off receipt. I also picked up more packing tape for $8 - good quality and worth the price. A great local UPS store if you're looking to ship packages or need packing supplies. read more

I stopped in to send a package to a coworker. There's street parking in the area but I was with my husband so he just dropped me off and I ran in real quick. The staff members were able to help me right away. I gave them my info and the info of my recipient and for my package it was $15 to get it to its location by Monday (I stopped in on Saturday afternoon). I received a tracking label and my receipt and was in and out within five minutes. The staff was friendly and efficient and I got what I needed done quickly. read more

I visit this UPS Store frequently and usually have great experiences, but my most recent visit left me disappointed. I came in to purchase a box for shipping, and one of the employees--a helpful Asian gentleman--asked if I had the item with me, noting that boxes are non-refundable. I appreciated that, as it saved me from buying the wrong size box-- or should have. When I returned with my item, I was assisted by a Caucasian woman with short blonde hair and glasses. She measured the item and recommended a box. At checkout, I noticed a $5 charge and asked about it. She said, "You don't want us to box it?" I let her know I planned to do it myself, as I had my own packing tape, label and was going to pack it in my car. After I paid, she brought out the box, which turned out to be way too large for my item. Since the box was non-refundable, I used it anyway. I mentioned to her, "This box is way too big," hoping they might be more careful in the future when recommending sizes. After packing the item and attaching the label, which I brought with me, I asked if I should leave it where I packed it. She said yes, or that she could move it, which she did. As I was walking out, she, rudely, called out, "I hope you have a better day." That caught me off guard--I wasn't having a bad day, and nothing about our interaction had been negative or unpleasant on my end. The comment felt condescending and out of place. I let her know that I hadn't been having a bad day, and that her comment came off as rude and she should watch her assumptions. I've never had a problem at this location before, but this interaction made me feel dismissed and unfairly judged. I hope this feedback is taken constructively--this employee could benefit from a little more training in communication and customer service. This place is terrible. The customer service is god awful the employees are rude (especially the white girl with blond hair) & the manager tries to gaslight people and seems to be running an Amazon scam to force people to buy new boxes for their returns. They are incompetent to the highest of levels and can't perform requested services and the price is too high. All around bad value and bad service. Avoid at all costs. The service used to be great but this morning visit was SUCKS, I didn't get the girl and the boy name. This morning I need to get copies for my documents, they told me go print it in the computer BY MYSELF. I never did that before so I asked for help, and I was rush on time, so I asked may them help me to print it and i can send this document to you. She told me they are not doing this service anymore, if I want this service i need to go FedEx or other place to print out. Okay I'll pay $20 first to start printing at the pc, I did it in 3 times total, I wasted $68 for nothing. I didn't get what I want and this ruining my day. And I don't know I can get these $60 back or no. ALSO! The pc have time limit for using it, $2 for pc use. I used to go to the UPS store to make my Amazon returns over on J street before they closed and the workers there were horribly rude and had absolutely no customer service skills. I was pleasantly surprised when I came to this location for the first time today. The employee was a young Asian guy and he was very very friendly! He had great customer service and even cracked a joke with me about the items I was returning. This is my go-to location for all of my Amazon returns/exchanges. The workers here are very efficient and know what their doing. I have never had to stand in line at this location, they are quick and organized here. All of my returns arrive safely and I receive my refunds within hours of dropping it off. There is always a LONG line but because of their fantastic professionalism and superior customer service skills, I always zip through the long line with speedy results. Convenient location near Safeway. The staff is always SMILES and very helpful. I had some problem with an Amazon return label but they walked me through it so I could send back the product. I heard the J Street UPS store CLOSED and no wonder cos they were legendary for giving customers The Stink Eye and rude - The S Street UPS store is my fave place for parcel shipping, xerox and other misc services they offer. Looks like a family owned small business and I like to support Asian-Americans small business. They are closed on weekends. M-F they close at 6pm. I had set up the return incorrectly, so he patiently helped me to cancel and then re-do the returns on my phone. He was so kind and this was definitely above and beyond! Was in town and needed to get stamps, as well as mail a package and happened to drive by this location -- flipped the car around and found parking easily as its in the same shopping center where the Safeway, with the large chrome horse statue, is (1814 19th Street). Turns out its right there on the other side of The Ice Blocks! Plenty of parking as there's the parking lot (for Safeway and other businesses, including the UPS Store) and street parking, if lucky to find an open spot! Upon walking in, the store was IMMENSELY CLEAN and BOTH employees were wearing masks! ALL the necessary Social Distance stickers were on the floor, and walls, to make sure all patrons were adhering to COVID-19 Policies. This made me feel safe and comfortable! Kimberly was the one helping me and she was tremendously efficient and kind as while I was in there, more customers showed up -- she made sure to let them know she would be helping them shortly and thanked all of us for our patience. This location also had their CURRENT hours CLEARLY POSTED as some business don't. One of my pics shows the current hours of M-F: 8:30am-6:30pm, Sat: 9:00am-5:00pm and Sunday: Closed. They also do not have their mailboxes open to patrons 24-hours because of their downtown location and potential vandalism -- simply a precautionary measure. Certainly will patronize this location again BECAUSE of those working here AND the ease of finding parking, given it's centrally located to other shops (Safeway, Starbucks, Panda Express) and The Ice Blocks. There's nothing like the exhaustion one feels after hitting several dead-ends. You almost come to expect the disappointment at that point. I needed to renew my passport. A local business that claims to help service people with this was closed due to covid based on their answering machine. I went to the post office in west sac that can process passports and was yelled at for not knowing I needed to make an appointment, and all appointments being booked out through end of the month. Went to another UPS location but they had a line out the door, one guy working. I come here often for Amazon returns and I'm always processed very quickly and politely. Much of this location isn't extremely noteworthy or praiseworthy, I guess it's just so uncommon these days to be treated with good customer service, it nearly topples you over when you come across it. I've had very rude experiences at fedex and USPS, and coming here today made me realize, why do I even use USPS when UPS can process those shipments as well? I wish I could remember who helped me but she was amazing. Patient, as I *discount double checked* my paperwork and what I needed to fill out where so I wouldn't ruin any of my paperwork that was mostly filled out. If you have Amazon Prime, shipping returns are so easy. No need for shipping labels or tape. Just bring the item in original box (or you don't even need a box really) along with the QR code that Amazon gives you once you initiate your return. They'll scan the QR code, give you a copy of your receipt, and will pack, box, tape send your item back to Amazon for FREE! Yes that's right, for free. Totally worth the Prime membership. My experience at this locale took all of 4 mins and within a few hours, my refund was completed via an email from Amazon. I'm assuming most of the negative reviews on here are from non-Prime members. I only gave 4 stars because there was only one employee working and she seemed kind of frazzled. There was no focus on consumer experience. No hellos, no thank you's. read more

Great location. Right next to Safeway. Usually you can score a spot right in front and you don't need coins. I do most of my Amazon returns here. I've never had an issue. They arrive right on time. Sometimes there is a line, due to the convince of the location, but it's worth it as you'd have to drive somewhere else. Most people are quick, like me because we're dropping off. For me this is my main drop off center for large packages. The small ones you can slip into a drop off spot, but the big ones need in person handling. read more

Went in today to return a package in its own original box and I resealed it. I showed the lady my QR code and she said that I have to pack it in my own box. Normally, they would just print out the label and slap it onto the box itself but instead she charged me $6 for a box that wasn't necessary. The item was already inside a box! Didn't read the reviews before I went. The customer service is indeed non-existent and the staff seems disinterested in actually being helpful. Not only that, but they seem very confused about services that UPS offers. They also charged over $2 to print a label but didn't mention that over the phone when I had called and asked if this is something they could do. I guess that's my fault for not asking, but they need to be better about informing people about what their services are and if it costs anything if people ask without needing them to prompt follow up questions... lol. Also, it seems like a sheet of paper in black and white would be like 50 cents maximum. I just paid because I wanted to get these shipped and over with. I called UPS customer service to inquire a certain savings program because the store staff didn't do a good job of explaining and didn't seem to know about it at all. Anyway, they informed me that each UPS store is franchised out and can choose their own prices or charge additional fees, so I guess that explains why service and price varies. Cheap jerks charging $1 per box for .001 cent of packing tape. Certain cultures don't understand future value. They want the $1 today per strip of tape. Not realizing that nickel and dime bs costs them return business. The owners of the store come from such a culture. Fortunately, there are UPS stores near that don't charge to tape your boxes. I've had a mailbox at this location for over a year, and have done almost all of my shipping and copying here. I love doing business here, and have only had positive experiences with this UPS location. It's locally owned, and so nice to be greeted with a smile and called by my name when I walk in the door. Everyone who works here is friendly, helpful, and always willing to accommodate. They are organized and I've never had any problem receiving or sending mail. For those angry reviewers complaining about the price of tape because they didn't seal their own packages--this is standard at ANY shipping facility. Even the post office won't give away tape, unless you're paying for Priority. I know--I've been buying tape for years! Based on some of the low-star posts, it seems clear by the "culture" comments that some reviewers may have issues that don't involve the price of tape. As to the pricing--again, pretty standard. It's expensive to mail anything these days. Scam artists, they are not. These guys are honest and hardworking and I feel lucky to have them in my neighborhood! read more

UPS may be the worst shipping company in the world. In the last year UPS lost a cellphone that I was required to sign for (3-days of vacation burned). This year it's been 45 days since the UPS driver dropped my package off at the wrong address and I still don't have the package, a refund, or any info from UPS (because apparently they only tell the shipper how much they suck at their job). To this day their App says my package is out for delivery on the next business day, which it has read the same for more than a week now. I've called UPS 43 times in the last month and tried their App twice as often, and I still can't get my money or the package. Outrageous, it's a GD Clown Show.
