We went to this UPS to get some documents notarized. It was our first time getting documents notarized, which we told the notary at UPS. He was super nice and helpful, but in retrospect it's because he was taking advantage of us (which makes sense because he told us he gets commission on these transactions). There were 4 documents that gave us the option to either get them notarized or have 2 witness signatures. We opted for the witness signatures to avoid another notary fee, and the workers at UPS offered to serve as our witnesses so we could get it done while we were there. Turns out they charge $15 per witness signature as well, even though it was a document that did not need to be notarized. Once we left we realized the charge ($300) seemed high to us for the number of notarized signatures (12), so we went back in to ask about the charges. The notary had left for the day but the other worker said that seemed off but to come back Monday because only the notary could issue the refund. When I came back Monday the notary was very rude and would not entertain a refund because their store policy is to charge $15 per witness signature. I told him if he would have been transparent about that upfront we would have had friends or neighbors be our witnesses for free instead of paying $120. I called other UPS stores and their reaction was that they don't charge for witness signatures and do this for free to serve their community. I asked that the notary at least be transparent with future customers about the charge for witness signatures in the future. We ended up paying more than we would have if we had just notarized each document rather than getting 2 signatures, all which could have been free if they were honest and looking out for our best interest. read more

I recently had a package from another carrier not show at my house so I thought I would have the subsequent reship securely sent to the UPS store by my house so I could pick up after work. I used the UPS app and went in to get my requested package when it arrived. The older gentleman working the counter had the WORST customer service. I informed him that I had a package delivered and gave him my name. He shoved a stack of shipping labels in front of me and told me to search for it. When I said I didn't see my name he told me that I was wrong, I didn't have it scheduled for delivery there but my package was a failed attempted delivery. .. Uh, no bro. I used the app to schedule it. He threw my package on the counter and then after he had me sign told me he could give my package to anyone, did I care to show him any ID? Why not check my ID before having me sign? He acted like I was burdening him the whole time. He barely even looked me in the face. A little courtesy goes a long way. read more

They just left my package at the wrong address five houses down in the Driveway. $3500 worth of products that was specifically Mark to be left at my door in a very private area I know they just left at five houses down in the middle of the driveway. I can see I'm not the first to have this sort of experience. You would think the owner would get a clue. I've been coming here for 2 years without issue. I wouldn't say my experience has been anything special, but nothing terrible either. Before I got to the desk an employee was helping another young lady before me, and he insulted her faux furry jacket first by calling it a poodle jacket then a labradoodle jacket. So rude. You could tell she was insulted but we both tried to laugh it off. I brought in some Amazon returns, and I misunderstood that they needed to be boxed first. The way Amazon worded it said just bring the items in and UPS handles the rest. The first 2 items were taken care of but I needed a box for the 3rd item. A line was forming so the store was pretty full of people. He thought it was a good idea to first start measuring the item so he could sell me a box. I told him I don't want to buy a box, I have boxes at home. They had an empty used Amazon box sitting right there and I asked if I could use that. Then he raised his voice and sniggering at me said "why would I let you use that box when we are a business that sells boxes"?. Um, because it would be great customer service and would save me a trip home and back. He continued to be loud, shut me down and said "not going to happen". Fine I went home and came back. I talked to the owner who saw the whole thing happen. It turned out that the Amazon box had their receipts in it so he said he couldn't have given it to me. I explained that between his insulting the other girl and how he handled it with me, was not good customer service and that I didn't plan to ever spend money there again. He didn't care. No apology, no acknowledgement of what went down RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM. Clearly, this owner has a store culture of pompous rude and inconsiderate A holes. There is a Staples just south of here and another UPS store just north off of Ave. Pico that provide the same service with much higher ratings. Don't bother with this place. read more

I rarely leave a bad review. The men that work here are so rude and bothered by customers. I actually hate going here but am often forced to out of a busy schedule and lack of choices. The absolute worst. If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered something to be printed online THREE DAYS AGO. They never called me so I went in. The guy had no clue what he was doing. He said it wasn't in their system. I pull up the order number and say I already paid for it. He says I might be at the wrong store. I show him the correct store on the email. He looks again and suddenly it's in the system. He starts to print it and says he doesn't know how to do it and asks me if I can email it to him. Are you kidding me? I uploaded it VIA UPS.com! No I can't email it to you. He finally gets it to print, but I had to tell him what kind of paper to use (he didn't ask, I made sure to specify). He said it doesn't show him in their system what I paid for... so what was the point of paying $11 for the expensive resume paper? Then once it's printed he holds it up and very obviously reads it and is holding it up for all to see. Completely wrong and a violation of privacy. RUDE. Never will use this place again. read more

I went there today to attempt to ship packages using my UPS preferred shipper account number that has discount associated with it that I need for shipping and was told I cannot do that. Can someone please explain why on Earth I can't use my UPS account number to create labels at The UPS Store? This is the place to go if you, like them, despise customer service. Here are my issues with this place: 1. It's overpriced. I've price checked them against USPS and USPS is always cheaper. 2. The long gray-haired man that many have complained about already is not friendly. I honestly have started to feel sorry for him because he is so mean! I try my best to be nice but feel demeaned and degraded whenever I go here. My husband and I called to see if the notary was in. We called at noon. He said he was there so we got in our car and drove there and when we arrived before 12:30, the gray-haired man said the notary was on his lunch break. And when we said, "But we just called, nobody told us he was going on his lunch break," and he literally responded, "Well he has to eat!..." We just left at that point. I avoid this place at all costs. The unfortunate part is that I live close by and use Amazon a lot. If I have to return anything, I don't like to go miles out of my way just to drop something off. But the fact that I consider it says a lot about how awful the customer service is. I really hope this place can make some changes because it's convenient for Amazon drop off. I also had a mailbox there a few years back and had really good experiences with the staff at that time. I looked forward to getting my mail! But now, we don't have a mailbox there and I wish I never had to go again. read more

I found them to be extremly courteous as with all their driver's. They helped me wrap my package, (which is not my area of expertise). They are friendly. They just go that extra mile. The parking is easy. There are alot of good places in the area to eat and shop. For me personally a great experience. It's also thought around the corner from me...does it get any better? Had to drop off a package recently and luckily this store was conveniently located making it a quick stop for our UPS shipping needs. Service was quick and easy. Parking may be a challenge if you're in a rush since there is only side street curb parking available. Luckily that wasn't a problem for my Husband and I on a weekday afternoon. read more

I really try not to write negative reviews and give people the benefit of the doubt, but the older man who works here honestly doesnt deserve to be employed. He told the man in front of me he needs to take his things and leave because his return was too complicated and the label wont print correctly. No apology. I had a great experience with Max yesterday at this location. I gave 4 stars because I came once before and had a difficult time getting what I needed. First Visit: I was expecting a package to my residence in San Clemente . its an apartment. I missed the driver. so I went to the store. the driver left a note saying it would be dropped off at the store. It was very important that I had that package that day. (it was a Diabetic Insulin Pump with a CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring System) 630G) I wanted it as soon as possible . when i walked into the store . the person who was there. and Asian fellow with grey hair. told me he didn't get the package yet and it could be 2-3 days before he gets it . I had literally just missed the guy so i knew he was still in the area! I was blown out of my mind. he said you can call customer service if you want. didn't give me the number. so i went home and looked it up and called them . a woman on the phone ended up getting the package back to that UPS store no help from the Asian guy. which i find weird being that you are in the shipping packaging business why cant you help me out. it wasn't like it was a new pair of shoes or something it was a medical device! when I came back after getting the information that the package had gotten back to the store , the guy was surprised to see me again. I was very happy to prove to him I get what i want! after that I had a bad taste in my mind about this location. i didn't feel this particular staff member went above and beyond. but since its the only one in the area im kinda stuck with it. I understand it might have been at a "busy" time. but still you couldnt have contacted the driver your self? so yesterday I had 3 packages to send out. one to Canada , one to Atlanta and one to Louisiana. I had written down the addresses . but I had never sent anything to canada . what i was sending was left over medical supplies from my old pump to folks who are still on it that havent upgraded yet. I came in the first time yesterday for boxes, thinking i could handle it myself. being that i had a tough time the first time I wanted to be there as least as possible. when i was picking up my boxes a gentleman by the name of max helped me out. after i got the boxes he asked me if i needed tape , or packing bubbles. and honestly I was just testing the size of the box. he said if you need a smaller one come back and ill help you out. of course I needed a smaller one. so i came back . but this time i brought everything with me. so i wouldnt have to go back and forth from home . max easily exchanged the boxes. and we started the shipping process. I needed packing bubbles for the boxes but i didn't need a huge bag. so again max used the bubbles he had in the back. we werent sure if the medical stuff would get through canada's customs . so max called there customs directly . WHICH I THINK IS BEYOND COOL! mind you while taking care of other customers that walked in. he was on hold for like 15 -20 minutes. of course he asked me before if i had time to wait. which i did . he talked to them for a minute or 2 but then handed me the phone so i could give them the right information. which intern the guy on the phone said it would be good to go! again having the piece of mind knowing the package should be good to make it. and how max went the extra mile to call and double check. it really made me feel like i was the only one shipping something yesterday. mind you there were 2 other people shipping packages at this same time. but the way max juggled it was perfect nobody got less service then one another. and it all seemed to be "easy" for max. also my blood sugar was dropping during this time. what went from I had time to . I need to go. max didnt get flustered just kept on his pace and knew what he had to do. after we shipped everything out. he gave me my receipt with the tracking numbers on it. but he didnt let me leave quite yet. he made sure a wrote down which package for which tracking number. again i appreciated the special touch. it seemed like max does well when he might be a little stressed or has alot going on. he really shined helping me ship out my 3 packages yesterday. much better then my first visit! read more

Thought my previous experience's that I was treated in a rude like manner .. Gave this place the benefit of the doubt my being new to the area .. This latest visit was the last straw .. Seemingly whom they want to use good people skills or customer service they will extend to their choice .. Angry senior man behind the counter pointed his finger with an extended arm in anger right at me and loudly said to me .. Next ! Meaning me .. Should have walked out right then .. He passed me on rather to the fellow that is usually there whom I found not angry yet not over the top with "hello may I help you either" .. Ok by me .. However he has the tendency though to be rude as it would'nt take much for this guy to get in in high gear without much prompting .. Always their is like a couple of guys whom are like with ( lots of time on their hands ) just to watch judge profile people or people watch that come and go to this place same holds true of the hardware store next store .. Simply wanted a confirmation of receipt to the IRS from a fax I requested gave him the $2 fee he explained the confirm will take a few mins ( this is important IRS need the receipt ! ) the money is of course not an issue .. Stood there quietly for several mins he gave me the register receipt my thought was only to get the hell outta this joint and never come back ! So I don't know for certain ? That I did get a confirmation receipt from them ( IRS fax ) .. Went to the bank for other business had it refaxed with their confirmation the IRS received it .. Never will I go back there or the hardware store next door avoid both especially if you are new to the area .. Small town "hick" attitudes .. GFY ! read more

Our daughter asked us to take some returns to a ups store for her. The store was not busy. The man that worked there complained and griped at me the entire time I was there. He made me put each of the boxes on the scale and turn the barcode so all he had to do was scan the code on the label. Then the worst thing I've ever seen an employee do was after he scanned each box, he swung his arm backwards and knocked the box on the floor when he hit it with the back of his hand. After he was done scanning all of the boxes and they were in a mess all over the floor where he had knocked them, he told us to stack them in a location across the office. My husband and I are in our mid seventies but thankfully we were able to bend and lift until all the boxes were stacked. I've been told that ups makes no money for taking returns but I see no excuse for one human being to treat another so badly. read more
