Everyone receives good and sometimes bad customer service. This place takes the cake in the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was trying to receive my package that needed a signature. But since I wasn't going to be home at the time of delivery in Monday, I had requested the vendor to make a note that I will pick it up at the UPS store. They had confirmed I could it up at the store and confirmed the address, great. Went there, and Kahill said they don't have it yet and they will on Tuesday after 12 pm. Sound good, I went back on Tuesday. Some girl with the "greatest" (not) customer service attitude, barely looked for the package and said it's not here. Wait until the sticker says the driver is taking it back to the store. Very well, I will come back once they leave that specific note. On Wednesday I was able to catch the driver on my camera and asked if he can take it to the store. He said for sure and left a sticker indicating just that. So on Wednesday I called this time before going in. The same girl (with the same attitude) answered and told me in hold, I waited 10 min, which I understood. They were busy the last two nights but at least she came back to the call and said the package isn't here, try tomorrow. Fine, I will try again. At this point the lack of help from anybody there was getting to me. On Thursday I called while I was getting off from work. This time Kahill picks up and puts me on hold. I'm waiting and 10 min pass. Then 20 minutes, then 30 minutes. At this point I'm mad and driving to the store. More than 40 minutes pass and I'm walking to the store while they still have me on hold. Hoping to find the store super busy with a line. No, they were not busy a few people are on the side wall trying to get a package ready and Katie is counting the register. The unapologetic attitude from both Katie and Kahill was mind boggling. They blamed it on UPS saying I need to call them. And here I thought I was in a UPS store. It doesn't matter whether you are a third party or "middle man" of UPS. You are representing them and that store is doing a terrible job representing them. Everyone is entitled to do their business anywhere. But I recommend anybody who doesn't want to have the same experience as me, go to another UPS store. There is one 1.2 miles away from them and when I go there I never have bad experiences so that is where I will be doing business from now on. read more

Do not drop off USPS packages at this store! I dropped off a USPS package with a pre-paid label I printed at home. They looked at it and said they did not need to scan it since it was USPS and already paid. They put it in a special area behind the desk and now it has mysteriously disappeared never having been scanned by USPS. One of the employees must have stolen it. The UPS Store in 4S Ranch is my new go to for shipping and returns. It is super clean, with a large service counter, and plenty of room for guests that are waiting to be served. Their store is adequately staffed which results in less wait times. Their staff is SUPER friendly well trained, quick, and knowledgable of their products and services. You can tell the management here cares about its staff and customers based on the quality of employees they have hired. A special shout out to Shelby for saving me hundreds of dollars in shipping costs by explaining my options. I bring this up because I nearly paid $1,000 in shipping charges at the Bernardo Center Drive location because the employee didn't care enough to tell me that there were cheaper options. And another shout out to Christian who handled my order like a pro! The 4S Ranch location also charges half what the UPS Store on Bernardo Center Drive charges for boxes, packing supplies and packing services. I learned of this when I had to ship from both locations due to lack of supplies at the Bernardo Center location. I compared both receipts and was astonished how much more the Bernardo Center Drive location charged for the same supplies and services. I didn't even know there was a UPS store in this plaza. This location is by the Ralphs and BBB. The store is small but so efficient. The staff has always been so quick with my Amazon returns. There's a little area for kids (I think it's a train tracks kinda thing). They also offer packaging and mailboxes as well. Plenty of parking even during peak hours. read more

I was excited to find this location as I have recently moved to the area. The interior is well appointed, clean and had lots of different copiers and mailing resources available. I was excited about the prospect of this being my new shipping location. There was one other customer before me and he was being helped by a very pleasant and supportive female employee. I was helped after several minutes by a male employee who had seen me walk in but did not initially come forward to help me. That was ok because I just figured he was busy. When he did come to help me, I explained that I had some Amazon returns and that I had never done this in a UPS store before. I asked him what I needed to do. He didn't provide an explanation. I again said, "I don't know how to do this. What do you need from me?" He said, "a QR code". I set about looking for a QR code, however, I had accidentally started a return with a mailing label. I showed this to him and he pointed to a sign on the register. Hesaid "you can email that label to us but it will be a 2.00 service charge." I would have had no problem paying the service charge or reading the notice in the register. However, I literally said when I started that I had no idea how to go about making a return. I know that being in the business of customer service is challenging and people are demanding these days, however this was just poor customer service all the way around. I wanted to learn how to do this properly, however I left feeling like I had just inconvenienced this person and felt very brushed off. Prices here are alot higher than other UPS stores. At other FedEx or UPS, you can email them the page you want to print and they will print it for you for $0.59. Here, they charge a $2 fee plus the 0.59 to print a page. Also, for mailing, it would be better to go on UPS.com and print/pay for the label. My husband paid $50+ to mail his sister's 40th birthday letter next day service to North Carolina on Thursday. It was forgotten and mailed out on SATURDAY. When asked about this they said it was not guaranteed. They didn't offer a credit or refund, he was just out of luck. I personally never like going through UPS as their prices are way more than USPS. He now agrees with me. Please support the US Postal service, they offer the same services at better prices and always deliver whatever I've mailed on time or earlier!
