So here is my review i visit this place three times before,and each time they were amazing even on the phone when i asked many questions: they didn't cut me off. I don't know the young girls name? but it was the same girl i spoke to on the phone because i gave her my name and she was extremely nice to me in the store. So yesterday i went here the fourth time,but since the parking sucks here i stayed in the car my cousin took the big box in for me, one it was too heavy for me to carry inside. He was out within 5 minutes even though there was four people ahead of him that's how fast they are customer service is amazing very helpful. So if you live in the neighborhood or even if you don't come to this UPS Store because sometimes Amazon won't take returns or even whole foods. So just to save some time you are better off coming here. That way to have the rest of your day to enjoy,lol. Thanks for the easy RETURN and great service to the young girls I've dealt with in the past 12 months. Ripoff USPS shipping label print out! With this one you're in one star! Currently I cannot print at home as a replacement part for my printer is on the way. Returning an item to Amazon I needed to print the shipping label but could not do so. While I had the label on my phone screen I figured maybe the store can quickly printed out. The clerk said yes they would but it cost $4.30! WTF? What? $0.30 for the paper and $4.00 for the printing. Would they have said that it cost $1.pp to do so I would have done it. But not $4.30! (which is over 50% of the item value being returned) So I went back and I chose the Amazon option to mail a printed label. Amazon charges $1.00 and I get it in the next couple of days in the mail. read more

I was warmly greeted by Cherlyn this morning even though I was in a panic looking for my package before my flight took off . Trying to get my package on time literally kept me up the entire night . Cherlyn was super helpful and very kind and help me locate my package by going through the shipment that was delivered early that morning and processed it right then and there for me to be able to pick it up. A tiny 5x7 padded envelope was $5.80 where my usual UPS in Corte Madera is $1.80 and these girls tried to charge me $65 dollars to delivery a near weightless package where my place charges me $16 dollars. I've lived in Noe Valley for 14 years and have been coming to this UPS Store just as long. I've never written a complaint like this before, but today's experience was bad enough that I won't be returning. I came in around 2 pm on a Thursday with a large package. I had emailed my return label hours earlier, something I've done many times without issue. I was in a perfectly fine mood when I reached the counter. The employee glanced at her screen and said, "Your email isn't here." She told me to resend it, which I did immediately. She then dismissed me with a curt "Next" and began helping another customer. When I told her I had resent the email, she repeated, "I don't have it," without offering any help or suggestions. This was the first time this had ever happened to me, so I reasonably asked what I should do. At that point, there were several obvious options. She could have asked me to verify the email address. She could have suggested a Wi-Fi issue. She could have asked to see the sent email. Instead, when I offered to show her the email on my phone, she loudly repeated that she "didn't have it." When I became visibly frustrated--while holding a giant box, dealing with a shoulder issue, and with my car double-parked outside--she escalated the situation by saying, "You realize you're freaking out about a label, right?" I had not raised my voice or acted aggressively in any way. The tone was combative and dismissive. I then asked the second employee for help. The first employee jumped back in, despite supposedly helping other customers, and falsely claimed I had never sent the email at all. The second employee wasn't much more helpful, and no one made any effort to problem-solve or de-escalate For context, the store was not busy. There was no line behind me until after I had already been treated poorly. I eventually left and went to the UPS Store in Marin. The difference was night and day. The staff there greeted me kindly, helped me connect to Wi-Fi, saw the email come through immediately, and printed the label without drama. That is what customer service looks like. When I mentioned my experience at this Noe Valley location to the Marin staff, they said, "Oh yeah, we've heard about that store." That says a lot. The final cherry on top: as I was leaving, the second employee called out a passive-aggressive "Have a nice day!" It was unnecessary and confirmed that the attitude problem wasn't accidental. The staff here is usually fine, which makes this even more disappointing. But after being treated this way, I have no desire to return. I hope the management is taking notes. read more

Just updating to reiterate the terrible attitudes of the people that work here and absolute price gouging of their franchise owner. For a single page B&W print out OF A UPS LABEL they charge $4.92. That's literal highway robbery. Read any UPS Store reddit thread. The most I've seen anywhere else in the U.S. is under $3. Not to mention I asked the basic question "Do you know if any other locations might be cheaper" and the girl literally laughed in my face, rolled her eyes, and said "franchisees can charge whatever we want." I was aghast at the behavior of these women at the helm of this store. Rude as can be! Dismissive. Arrogant and one just stared at me looking at page I had brought to have notarized and said "I don't know what that means I don't know. That's not what we're here for." As if-- the ONLY thing she was taught was to look at your ID and stamp the document. Incredibly rude no-- "I'm sorry" no "I'll ask one of my colleagues" Zilch. Store owner(s): I see many complaints of the same nature regarding staff at this franchise location. I see that often there is a response offering a computer generated apology and a claim that this is not how the store wants customers treated. Yet the same type complaint keeps getting posted. There is no accountability. There is something wrong with staff at this location but going back through the years it seems this has been a frequent complaint so I'm thinking that the employees are simply mirroring the owners' beliefs about the unimportance of good customer service. The way customers are treated hurts the UPS brand, even if these are just franchises. What I've just read on Yelp echoes and validates my experience. Future customers please take note: If you like being treated like crap, go here. Here is what happened to me today: There is a "manager" at this store -name tag says Kass H (according to a name tag that may have been fake) - who has to be the most condescending, unhelpful, hostile person I've encountered in a retail setting in a while - The kind that says "have a nice day" with the smug smile when they've just been supremely rude? Saw someone else mentioned that, too, so it must be "her thing.'' She is passive-aggressive mean - like a troubled teenager, she actually seemed to really enjoy being rude - and she has that unfortunate power tripping trait displayed by some people who actually hold no power. When I told her she was being unhelpful and unkind, she, of course, used her one power play and told me she could refuse my package. Sigh. Why someone like this is allowed to deal with the public? And then somehow they get promoted with no training for working with customers? I left supremely annoyed but ultimately I feel sorry for her; there is a personality disorder at work here. A UPS employee (who does not work for the franchise) stepped in and spoke to me in a professional way and did his best to diffuse the situation. I appreciate his kindness. Sadly, KH didn't understand the lesson at hand because she thought her behavior was just fine and continued to be rude. Asked for the owner's name, and of course, she just gave me a general UPS number and a fake first name. The really stressful and way more important thing is that I do not trust that my package will get to where it's supposed to get to. I wish I hadn't left it there. I don't trust them to do their job and not descend into pettiness. How can you trust a company when the people representing it offer such a sad display of public service? When being horrible to the public is like a sport to them? Owners, stop apologizing to customers on Yelp for the terrible experiences they are having in your store. Do you care? We usually love this neighborhood UPS store, but unfortunately had a very negative experience with their notary services. We reserved an appointment online, left work early, and arrived on time--only to be told the notary was out to lunch for another hour. When we explained that we had booked the appointment for that time, we were told that appointments are simply "when the notary is available." We had chosen an available time slot, yet were dismissed with "have a nice day." There was no apology, no attempt to offer a solution, and the staff was rude and dismissive. Given that their notary hours don't extend past 3pm, this was especially frustrating. We'll continue to use this UPS for shipping and other needs, but would strongly caution against relying on them for notary services. read more

I've been a customer for over 10 years, and recently, your customer service has been declining compared to the other UPS stores I've been through. This July, while I was at the store, the same staff members were complaining about their workload and the lack of management support. They knew I had overheard their conversations, but I continued my business and left. I was in the store again this Tuesday morning. There were two customers ahead of me. One customer was already being helped at the counter, but she did not prepare her package. While the staff was packaging her item, she left to get her wallet, and when she returned, she started counting coins as a form of payment. She was the reason why the service was held up. The other customer was also waiting for the other staff member to open a register. I've waited for over 15 minutes, shaking my head, and opened my work email on my phone without saying a word to the staff. When it was my turn to get service, the staff did not want to accept my package. As I asked questions, for reasons I couldn't understand, she began to do something underneath her counter, leaving me standing at the counter. I then asked who the manager was, and the staff member who was helping the customer, who was still counting her coins, said to me that she was the manager. I continued asking what was wrong with my package and asked for their names. Both staff members just looked at each other, ignored my questions, and did not provide their names. So, I left. The appearance of these two staff members is an accurate representation of their true selves. If you are in the store or just passing by, take a look at their faces (unhappy, sour, and miserable) and observe their behavior, which matches their inside manners. These two employees validate each other's rudeness and are happy to remove customers they dislike for personal reasons. Their friendliness was only at the surface, and they brought their individual issues and negative attitude to work, showing that customers were not a priority. To the Owner: Staff appearance and a pleasant, welcoming attitude affect your business success. Unfortunately, these two employees lack such qualities. I wish your business lasting success in this competitive business environment. You've lost another loyal customer. With their financial problems, I thought I would give this place some business. On Aug 29, I used their 'GXG' Global Express Guaranteed. I spent $101.00 to mail 10 pieces of letter sized time sensitive documents to the Philippines. It was suppose to arrive Sep 5. As you can see, it's still on its way. However, it was actually delivered on Sep 8. My contact didn't receive the documents on time since I gave them the wrong information, courtesy of the tracking info. It was being sent to a business. My contact eventually received it. Consequently, we had to change our court date As for their purported money back guarantee, we just filed for a claim. We are hoping to get our money back or at least a portion of it. If we had known it wouldn't get there on time, we would have just sent it by regular mail and save ourselves $101.00. In the future, we won't be using USPS for international mail. read more

BEWARE - Liars & Thieves. I have my business mail account there. They signed for, checked in, received my MAC BOOK PRO... and "lost" the box. They have cameras that track everything. But, can't figure out what happened to the box. and now the manager is ghosting me. He looked shocked when I came in with PROOF of delivery. Because they didn't list it as there.... TOTAL SKETHCY. Not Apologetic... The employees and manager ALL agreed that I never picked up the package. The manager said that he was sorry and that I should be reimbursed. Promised to call. Didn't I called 48 hours later. Manager said at that point that he couldn't find the box and could only offer $100 and would refund my prepaid box payment so that I could move my mail service. He said that he would email me by days end. He did NOT. I call corporate for the UPS STORE and they said that a reimbursement of $100 is ridiculous. The Manager is completely ghosting me. He is clearly a liar. Police report is being filed and it was shipped from Europe which may complicate things even more for them. It's beyond a felony at this point. I contacted 7 on your Side, The police, UPS STORE Corporate, BBB, Local Merchants group, Local Chamber of Commerce, and then I will be in touch with my attorney and pursue damages if this is not resolved QUICKLY. I'm not done. NO TOLERANCE FOR THIEVES AND LIARS. BEWARE.... It's the holidays. How many boxes do you get? Could you easily miss a notification and not even realize that you lost track of a box? Listen to the reviews. I just went to pick up a package that was sent there by someone who fortunately let me know that's where they sent it, because I got no notification from UPS otherwise. The guy at the store said they would have returned it if I waited longer to pick it up...how would I have even known it was there? Then, I had to pay $20 to pick up this package since I do not have an "access point" account, even though this is an "access point" location. I told the guy I have picked up packages in different places without ever paying a fee, and he told me it was arbitrary based on the store. Let me repeat that: based on the store. It is - as he said - a franchise location, and the franchise owners can make up their own rules that don't fall under a national standard. Save your money and your time and go elsewhere. read more

Worst customer service ever. The older guy had a bad attitude, and refused my Amazon package just because he didn't like the packaging, even though Amazon sent me the package. And THEN..... tried to guilt trip me by saying he only gets a dollar per package. He stomped off to the back room in the middle of the transaction because I called him out on his power trip when he threatened to refuse my other package even though he'd already accepted and processed it. Lesson learned, always read the reviews first! I went here to ship out a package which was supposed to take a maximum of 4 days. I understood there were no guarantees in this but shipping from California to colorado shouldn't take much longer than this. On top of this they wouldn't let me ship as is and charged me double to repack it. I agreed because time was short and I just wanted it out the door. It's now been pushed to two weeks out with little explanation, when I called the store clerk he gave me the run around, said he'd look into it and call me back, this never happened. I'm now fairly concerned that my shipment will not only arrive extremely late but also damaged as I have very little faith they can do anything right at this store. The Noe Valley UPS store doesn't need your business, and it shows. I've had a mailbox there for my business for over two years, and I honestly can't say there was a single time I visited when I wasn't treated like a nuisance. They're usually rushed, understaffed, slow to pick up the phone, and they love blaring their music at high volume. They never seem to have any sense of urgency since they know their Noe customers won't be going anywhere else; it's just too inconvenient. They also always seem to have something blocking the mailboxes, like dollies and piles of bubble wrap. And they love to close early, and have no interest in opening the door for you if you show up after they've locked it, even if you're on time and they see you. It must be nice having a guaranteed customer base; you just don't have to try that hard when you do. read more

I wanted to send a key to my father today. Alex Revelo, the manager was there. He typed my name and my dad's name wrong 3 times in the computer, no big deal as everyone makes mistakes. I wrote my last name ( and my dad's) on a piece of paper and he was still misspelling it. Again, I understand as he was trying to type fast. But after misspelling my name three times (my guess because he became embarrassed) he started to act annoyed, rolling his eyes and telling me that it was my fault because I didn't tell him how to spell my name properly? (i just did, spelling letter by letter and also written in capital letters on a post it). He became more rude, and even the people in line behind me were telling him to relax and do the job myself as he seemed not capable. I said that it was OK to make typing mistakes but not OK to treat me so rudely. He said "this is nothing, if you really want me to be rude I can be rude. And you know what, take your key somewhere else" as he threw my envelope containing my key at me. I am very upset and willl be calling UPS costumer service shortly. There is something seriously wrong with the store. They want to charge you $5 to print out a copy of your UPS prepaid return label. I've never been to any other UPS store that makes you do this. Normally when you go to a UPS store and you have a prepaid UPS return label, they will print it for you free of charge whether it's a barcode or a PDF. Since moving to the area, I thought I could use this UPS store for my occasional printing needs. However, each time I've been frustrated by slow, inefficient service. The computer is glacially slow (and you need to pay a base fee + charge by the minute to upload and print a file + printing fee). Sometimes the computer is down and the staff asks you to email them a file -- but the wifi is spotty so you end up roaming around the store trying to get a signal (and you are still charged a computer fee). After going through this a few times, I had the genius idea to order the print job ahead of time online -- no waiting, right? Wrong. I still had to wait at pickup because "they never received the order." Oh, you got an email order confirmation? Nevermind, we received it but can't find the completed print job so you have to order it again. Try the computer...well, it's extra slow today, try emailing it from your phone, but you have to stand by the door. Oh, oops, no, here's your order, we received it but never actually printed it. Just wait a few more minutes, the system is slow. These interactions were so frustrating, I ended up buying my own printer just so I wouldn't have to come here anymore.
