I have shipped personal to business related items at this store over the past decade without any issues. The staff was always helpful and at times went beyond what's asked for to assist my needs. The lady once went out of her way to search for an odd shipping box sized for an item I brought in to ship. The younger gentleman searched for lowest shipping rate when the original rate was excessive. Will continue to utilize this stores great service. read more

Mask, mask mask! Yesterday when gathering my package outside the front of the UPS store I encountered a USPS employee bringing in packages without a mask. And once he came out I asked him to please mask up if he was to re-enter. I moved to the doorway where two masked customers ahead of me waited, all keeping at least 6 feet apart. The customer spacing was aided by the markers on the floor which I was thankful for, but then I saw the employee behind the counter working with a mask. And no mask in sight. This is totally unacceptable especially with the growing number of new cases in LA country. We all to do our part to help stop the spread. This location is close to my home, but then again so is San Marino. Very different work ethic at this location. I find it intolerable. There is a middle aged Asian lady who enjoys pushing labels and not anything else. She refuses to earn her salary. Her expertise is in saying, "no, do it yourself." She squirms at the sight of real work. It makes this location impossible to patronize. This location where she feels as if she's the boss haven't the slightest idea of what customer service entails. They charge $1 to tape your Amazon return package. So the story begins... I usually go to the UPS store in Rowland Heights, but I recently moved to the San Gabriel area, and needed to return an Amazon package, so I chose to drop off at this UPS location because it's literally walking distance from my new home. There are 2-3 parking spots on the side of the UPS store, there is a tiny parking lot behind the store , and you can also street park (if I didn't remember wrong). Anyways, I managed to parallel park in 1 of the 2-3 parking spot next to the store, took my package and went inside the UPS store. A little background, when I choose UPS drop off for my Amazon return, Amazon has a message that said I can return my package without a box or label, and the store will package it for me. I returned my package with the original Amazon box anyway, but I didn't tape it. After greeted by the gentleman that works behind the counter, he begin to scan the Amazon return QR code I provided to him, after he scanned the QR code, he informed me that they will need to collect $1 from me in order for them to take my return because my package is not taped. I then showed the gentleman the Amazon return message, stated by Amazon that my return does not need to be taped or even in its original box. He then insisted that it's their store policy to collect the $1 from me because they will have to tape the package for me (By the way, I always return my Amazon package "un-taped" at the Rowland Height UPS store, and they never collect any additional charges from me). 2 minutes into this conversation, a couple of more customers came in, and a line formed behind me. *sigh* I didn't want to hold up the line and since it's only $1, I just paid and they took my package. I guess I should have just taped my package to avoid this additional $1!?!??! I mean, $1 is not a big amount, but is this right to collect this additional charge? 2 stars because the gentleman who helped me was nice. But I will still avoid this UPS store in the future. read more

This UPS store had horrible service. I returned other amazon items at other UPS location with absolutely no issue, whether the item is boxed with it without label. I went in to return an item. I showed the scan to the staff. He said he couldn't scan it as a label needs to be printed. At other UPS store, they would kindly print it. The staff said he would print but would charge $2. I went home and printed out the label I dropped off the item the following day. This time, the staff said I need to tape up the box. Maybe he wanted the customers to do all his work. If it's not because of their hours, I would have gone to the one on Huntington Drive in San Marino. The service over there is a complete opposite to this one. read more

Never come here! An old Chinese man received the package that I needed to return. I sent it in October. The merchant has not received the goods for two months. When I checked the receipt, I found that the return receipt was not printed for me, just only the label was printed price. and I found out that he didn't send it out at all! It's true, your Amazon return package will never be sent back. My Amazon item was never returned back to Amazon even though it was scanned and dropped off. Make sure you follow-up with Amazon and keep your receipt after dropping off your returns here! The customer service here is terrible. The staff always look so miserable and disgruntled. It shows on their face the minute you walk in. Occasionally, there may be a nice staff or two. This place is a mess all the time. I wouldn't trust your package here. In a way i feel like it's a double edge sword writing this because it's the only 1 in my area, so even after writing this review I dont have much of a choice. My biggest complain is their customer service. Some fast food chains do a better job than the folks working here. You either run into someone with attitude, someone who has zero communication at all (e.g. you're standing around, they know you are present in front of the register but they act like they're boxing things around the office) or vague responses such as drop off is there (points fingers at a 180 degree angle, be more SPECIFIC). UPS Corp - either pay up, enforce training among your employees. Trust me, if there were a better logistics location nearby, I'd pay more to go there. read more

I won't be at home when a signature-required package to be delivered so I chose to have it deliver to the closet UPS store, I've read reviews about how bad this one is and I thought: "well, that's for shippers, how bad could it be for a simple pickup"? I guess I was thinking it too idealistic. Don't get me wrong, I did get my package, it took a little bit longer(software too old to proceed), but I do have received my package in good shape. However, what I am concerned is how unorganized this store looks, everything is everywhere, pickup packages, Ready to be shipped packages and empty boxes are mixed together, piling on the floor. I am glad that Yelp can warn many people do not go here, because I don't know if they can handle big volume of packages, I would never ship my package here and I would not chose to have my package delivered here again. read more

Came here on Wednesday after the UPS in South LA sucked. Long story short I was trying to get something notarized and the guy ended up being a dick and raising his voice at me. I came in here and it looked a little bit nicer than the South LA one. No one greeted me when I came in and the people that worked there just stared at me. I didn't know what to do so I just waited in line. The Asian lady then helped me get my files notarized. She asked me for everything I had and asked what needs to be notarized. I told her my car paper and she immediate knew which paper. She helped me notarize my paper and got me immediately going. I did not have to feel being embarrassed by being yelled at by the guy in the other UPS. Overall, definitely not the greatest customer service but the Asian lady really helped me a lot and got my papers done. All of this was basically $15. There might be some questions asked but she is just doing her job by making sure the signatures matched whatever you are going to sign! I would come back and see what is going on. Better than the South LA location I went. I'm just glad I did not get yelled at in a large line because that was hella embarrassing and disgusting that they would really do that to someone especially just to get something notarized! read more

I came here today because I had an issue wit my new printer and I really need to print an item for a project. :) So I went here and this place was literally empty. So the service was quick and I go in and out of this place within minutes. The guy that was helping me was very nice and let me use his white out since I didn't bring any of them yet. The parking, is a little bit of a problem since there really isn't a parking lot. I just parked off of Las Tunas right in front of the store. Then you just have to push the door open, and you do what you gotta do. read more

As for shipping, I literially drop my items off and i pay for it upfront, they pack, seal and ship my packages for me.. GREAT service. I've been coming here for at least 2 years to drop off packages for Amazon. Never have the employees been happy or provide any customer service. A smile or a hello goes a long way. I really just wanted to write about the old Asian lady who works there, probably the owner as she's always there and has an attitude like she hates coming to work and having to run a UPS store. Brought in a box and asked her if I could pay the difference on the label since it was short and she quickly and annoyingly responded "it's not my job..." well, just be aware if you're going to come here, be ready for disrespect and no customer service. Can I rate 0 star? The customer service is terrible! If a customer paid for the item to be delivered, then ups should deliver and not for pick up in the store. I called this store and asked for a supervisor or a manager to resolve my concerns BUT nope seems they are annoyed that you were asking them for help. No call back ..my package was supposed to be delivered last night at 9pm so I stayed up, turn on my lights in the patio and my front door..only to get an email informing me that driver will deliver my item the next day, same time. Then my sister called me told me my package was delivered already and enjoy blahs blah..I checked outside nothing! I checked my email and ups said your package is now ready for pick up! At this store: 1005 E Las Tunas Dr, San Gabriel, CA 91776 And that's the stressful conversation begins..I was trying to explain to them that my sister paid for shipping to be delivered to me. I asked if there's a way to contact the driver because I didn't get any note that driver tried to deliver package ( remember I stayed up and turned on lights to make sure driver knows I am waiting) BUT guy said no and they can't do that...because they are only the store! Exactly! You're the UPS store that my sister paid to deliver to ME..a customer. Again, he said well you can pick item now..ahh duh..the reason why my sister paid extra for shipping is because I don't have a car and I have a health condition...so I asked him to let manager call me..like I said no calls..no help! So I called the 1-800 number and told them the issue..the lady on the other line was very helpful and APOLOGIZED for my experience with the store..so let's pray and hope that in the next business day I can receive the package..sorry for the long rant but I was disappointed.. read more

The worst customer service, beware to go to this store. I have come here to pick up my package several times and their customer service is very terrible. Especially the old Asian lady with the glasses (I think she is a store owner or something like that.). She is very rude and unfriendly. They don't even say "hello" or try to help the customer. Like today when I came to pick up my package at their store, the tracking number said it delivered to their store already. Then the lady told me "please come in the afternoon, we were busy and you are not the top priority...bla bla bla". I feel like wtf? what kind of customer service they are? I came at 1 pm, wasn't it afternoon? and what kind of business you said to the customer, they are not a priority and need the customer to come to fit with your schedule? Meanwhile there only me was the customer in their store, nobody was here. I feel very bad about this UPS store and will take my business to another better store than they. Usually it's fine when I just needa drop off a package and don't interact with the workers. But if you need help with something or there's a problem with your package, her go-to phrase is "Sorry there's nothing we can do about it. It's your responsibility." I returned my Amazon order for a couple week ago but the UPS didn't indicate that they have received it nor it was returned to Amazon so I came back to confront. They simply explained "the tracking number is fake, show them the receipt it's not our problem!". Like wtf? This never occurs with other places, it takes maximum like 5 days not like a month.
