I visited UPS because they also offer fingerprint services. The guy was very patient and kind even though it took several times for my fingerprints to go through successfully. Parking was a little challenging, but this is a great location otherwise. read more

They close door 5min earlier than the official business hours. When you knock to the door and they don't open and then reply in review "we were scared" that you are knocking. Lmao Of course you are , you should not close the store earlier that the official time posted. And I have witnesses that it was not 5pm yet and you locked the door before that. read more

I've been getting packages delivered to this UPS location for 5+ years, due to high theft in my neighborhood. I do a lot of online shopping, so typically frequent this business 1-3 times per week. My 3 star Yelp rating for this store is the average of 5 stars for the staff, and 1 star for the new owner. I really value this store's hardworking employees. In addition to juggling a busy package delivery and return operation, they provide several other convenient services, such as shipping, a notary, document copying, and passport photos. Led by the outstanding manager Jen, with the support of several other staff, including the amazing Noah, these guys get the work done day in and day out, and I am consistently satisfied with the customer service I receive. Unfortunately, the new owner isn't as committed to customer service as his staff. Most troublesome to me is his poor handling of an after-hours robbery in January, which resulted in some delivered packages being stolen, including one of mine. I was told I would be reimbursed "soon" for the value of my loss, but 2 months later the owner has yet to do so. I am beyond frustrated by the owner's lack of response. Additionally, I am unhappy the new owner has decreased staffing (I'd guesstimate 1-2 less staff per shift), which can lead to longer than average wait times since this is a busy location. For example, if one of 3 front desk staff is at lunch or on a break, and the other two are tied up with more time-consuming services such as notary services or passport photos, be prepared to wait a ridiculously long time. The previous staffing was better able to absorb the occasional situation where back-to-back customers need more assistance. Of note, the new owner has implemented a self-service for returns which has improved the flow for returns, but not enough to offset the decreased staffing. read more

I use to rave about the UPS Store on The Alameda to neighbors. That is sadly over. The previous owner of this location, Rick, ran this business like he was dealing with family. The new management is running the location strictly as a money maker. The first change they made was to stop providing receipts for USPS shipping labels. The first explanation I was given was that they 'don't get anything out of it.' The owner back pedaled and said it was about not wanting to deal with complaints if there was a problem with USPS delivery. Well, which is it? 'Nothing in it' for them or not wanting to deal with USPS headaches? I suspect both, but on their first point I say there is a lot 'in it' for them by keeping this courtesy which had been in place for the past 20 years we have been a customer - it is called customer satisfaction. Also, one of the most obvious things NOT to do when taking over an establishment is to suddenly take things away from your customers. As to USPS headaches which they don't want to deal with, well, we have shipped out many items (returns) with USPS labels, receiving receipts, and not one time in those 20 years did we experience an issue with delivery. So, I really think this goes back to there being 'nothing in it' for them. Next, I learned today that the rates are going up from $276/year to $350/year and for every boxed received over a monthly total of 15, you get charged an additional $1/box. Uh... I don't think so. Unless my husband pitches a fit and insists on us keeping our box, we will be making arrangements to have all of our deliveries made to our work and to my Mom's home just a short drive away. I like the employees at this store, especially Jennifer. She has been with the store for the entirety of our experience and she is a gem. I feel poorly for the employees, as I suspect they will lose a good many customers. Whether we can afford it or not, this is a matter of principle - at least for me. read more

Made this yelp account just to say how awesome and fast the two girls there where! My wife had went into the store approximately 2 weeks ago to ship some items out. originally started getting help by the Indian lady who is absolutely clueless she said "they didn't sell boxes" which is false you can clearly see them in the back! That's when a pregnant woman brought out a box and a younger girl helped typed out the shipping label and was out the store about 5minutes later! I understand being new but it's ridiculous saying you don't sell boxes when you can see them in the back -.\.. that lady definitely still needs training and a pair of glasses! XD but the other two workers where amazing! 9/10 service! read more

I love this UPS store. Everyone is friendly, helpful and efficient. When I have many many boxes coming in, they always offer to help carry them to my car! I have had my UPS post office box here for a year. The employees have gotten to know me and greet me by my first name. Recommendation: Are your boxes getting stolen off your door step? Get a post box here at this UPS Store. They also have a extra gate that protects your packages when they are closed. Awesome! I highly recommend going to this UPS store! read more

This is a very tiny storefront, but they're fairly quick at getting their lines down and their prices aren't as bad as some other shipping services. I have now had two really bad interactions with employees at this location. Customers beware, save yourself the trouble and visit a different UPS Store. My experience is inline with some of the other recent reviews I read. They were very condescending and rude. I understand that companies have to follow protocol and abide by certain rules, but kindness and willingness to help goes a long way. Guess they left that out in their employee training. This review is thanks to the morning manager on 2/14/24 and to the gentleman employee on 2/15/24 who decided to chime in on my conversation, your aggressive words were unsolicited and very much unappreciated. I printed things today at this place and it was my best printing experience so far. The printing was straight forward - you send them an email and they print from desktop, like you ask a friend to print it. I did it like the auto print at FedEx which has a lot of restrictions and fails all the time. I was warmly greeted by Sophia when I was standing in the line and she was very nice to ask me what do I need and introduced they print it and pricing. The whole process is about 2 minutes and it felt smooth. read more

I've always experienced very friendly service when dropping off Amazon returns at this location which is why I was so disappointed with today's visit. Today I had the displeasure of being 'helped' by Isaiah. He rolled his eyes at me, and told me "that's what I said," after I misunderstood what was needed for the transaction. After handing me my receipt he turned his back and said something along the lines of 'try to be less stressed' with an attitude which was clearly meant to irritate me. The next time I visit the store I'll be avoiding Isaiah even if it means waiting in line a little longer. read more

Experience the worst service ever. Avoid this place if you value your time and care about being treated with respect. I phone in about my service before I arrived, but had to wait around for 30mins for the specialist to come back from lunch. When the specialist returned and decided to assist another customer after us. When confronted, the employees begin to debate. On top of that, the employee was incompetent and I had to double check the work. Although there was a long line, throughout my arrival and the entire process, the husky gentlemen stood behind the counter doing nothing; only gave a glaring upset look. If you're part of retail, customer service, you should learn to serve your customers correctly. I should have believed the bad reviews about them, but that's what I get for giving them the benefit of the doubt. if I could give 0 stars, I would. this place sucks - the employees are miserable and snarky. came to drop off a package and needed a scan to have them print a label for me. there were three employees working, while only myself and another customer were waiting. the lady who finally decided to stop pretending to look for work inside the cabinets/drawers and help me finally rudely informed me there was a kiosk that could actually do the scanning/label printing for me. The most lame UPS Store in town. Unlike every other UPS Store I've used, they don't connect your Amazon returns with your account so you don't get immediate notification from Amazon that your return is on the way. According to them, they don't even send the returns until their bin is completely full, so you really have to go on faith that your return is even still in existence let alone on it's way back to Amazon. When I spoke to them on the phone they seemed really pressed for information about where my 2 packages were. Lazy and unreliable. read more

This store definitely takes more time than a post office, that's for sure. I stopped by to return a mask I purchased for a Halloween party that was seriously too tight, because this was the easiest mail spot for me to get to. I went with UPS over regular mail because it was cheaper and they were insured for $100, exactly the amount of the item I was sending back, but I had to fill out this long contract, and initial in several places. I wasn't really prepared for the to-do and frankly I really much preferred dropping my item off with the PO and being done with it. The service was friendly, though slightly uneducated and quite slow. I've never used UPS beyond having the packages picked up or dropped off, so while I probably wouldn't come back, my package got there safety and it cost me a minimum of money to do it.
