We really love this little place! It is right around the corner from our house and so very convenient. The service is always amazing. Today I went in with my two kids and they even gave each of them a paper mask craft that they loved. I've never had an issue with anything there- I can rely on them for a quick, easy in and out, and that my package will be delivered as promised. I also love that they have have USPS and UPS. They also do copy services and the owner helped me a few months back with a copy project I had that wasn't working. I highly recommend this place for all your copy/mailing needs! read more

I have been coming here for more than 3 years and the staff are always courteous. The only time I avoid coming here is between 6 and 6:30pm when there is a mad rush to get packages out. This is just like any other UPS Store. You come in to get your package, deliver a package or any other mailing needs. They even make keys!!! Plus, they have rental boxes and a huge asset is their selection of b-day cards. Why spend the time and gas to go find a card at a major store when you can just get one there, sign it and send it off. TIP: Don't park in the parking lot attached to the apartment complex. Just park right in front on The Alameda. There is always ample parking in front and there is no meter! read more

I had a big box of returns and was in a hurry -- this store was great! They greeted me right away. We figured out quickly I had put the wrong label on it (oops) and the cashier was fine with opening the box, finding the right label, applying it, and taping up the box again. This happened to me once before and the other store made me buy a roll of tape so I thought the free tape was really nice! She was so efficient, just what I needed. Tried to get fingerprinting done using a PrintScan machine at this UPS Store. The store personnel were slow to respond and lacked sufficient training. I spent almost an hour fighting the machine without success, and then came back a couple of days later to try again. After another hour with the same untrained personnel, we hit the Submit button. Two weeks later, the recipient had not received the images. Even worse, when I called this UPS Store and asked for help. They sent me to the wrong provider (Sterling, not PrintScan). I finally got it sorted out, but with no help from this UPS Store. And, the UPS guy was abrupt and rude on the phone. Never again. read more

I went to the UPS Store yesterday August 21, 2019 around 5:30pm and there was a kind of tall lady with blonde hair kind of younger with tattoos on her arms that was super helpful but I didn't catch her name. I had 5 boxes of shoes to return to Amazon and Amazon's new process is intimidating but she helped me out and taught me how to make the process efficient and make sure everything was correct. It was Friday, 30 minutes before the government offices closed up shop for the weekend. We raced over to this UPS location and explained the situation to Ric. It's a UPS store and it is what it is: a place to bring a box or envelope to ship in a certain amount of time at certain price. I have come here a few times and I have no complaints. I have come here to drop off Netflix DVDs that needed to be mailed back (since I can't find the outgoing mail slot in my apartment complex), shipped letters overnight, and even bought a mini stapler because I needed a stapler and it looked kind of cute. For the most part, the service is friendly and helpful. And the store is pretty clean. It's definitely A-OK. read more

This place is an average UPS store. This is a good place to do what it's supposed to do which is to ship packages. The UPS store I used to go to regularly in Illinois, the employees were engaging. As the employees check my packages, we would have small talks about anything and it was enjoyable. You could tell that they love being there and that they love their job. However, in this UPS store, it was the opposite. It seemed like the employees just wanna get out of there which is probably why they have a low rating in Yelp. I walked in and someone was talking about firing someone. Would I come back here? Only if I really have to ship something big. Most of the staff there are friendly and helpful. EXCEPT for the younger girl that works there. "Friendly and courteous" are THE last words that I'd use to describe her. No smile, no "have a nice day", just a moody, pouty demeanor that makes you think "Wtf is her problem?" I have my UPS packages routed here, so when I pick them up, it's only a one minute process, and I am in and out. But, incredibly, she makes it seem as though I have asked her to change the oil and rotate the tires on my truck. QUIT your job if you hate it so much! I have to say that I don't get the low star rating for this place. I used to go here all the time because I lived in the apartment complex that is build around this shop and every single time I had a ok to good experience here. The short version: - DO: shipping and other UPS stuff - DON'T: passport photos (unless the guy/owner is there to do it for you - not one of the other staff members) The store is mid sized but they seem to have all the things you expect from a ups store. The people here have always been super nice to me but it is true that it takes them a bit longer to get things done. The only time I was a bit frustrated here is when I needed to get my passport photo taken. None of the people there knew how to do it (the only person who does is the guy that works there and he was out) and in the end I ended up with a photo that got rejected by the government agency I sent it to. Parking is also tricky here as most spots are taken by people who live in the apartment complex. read more

Well Jen, the lady behind the register, made it very clear to me they were not UPS and there is "nothing they can do that I can't do online". Just had the best UPS store experience ever! I was sending food with dry ice to my godson who just moved out of state. The staff was friendly and super helpful! I'm just going to say, having a well known name like UPS, doesn't always get you the customer service/satisfaction one would expect. I sent out two fragile pieces of art to a different state. They went on and on about the process they would go through to make sure it gets there safely. After a $40 packaging fee as well as $60 shipping for one of the pieces alone, it arrives with a piece snapped off and a note saying to call one the employees. I called today and the explanation I got was that it the custom packaging was what went wrong. Who would have though that custom packaging would result in breaking a piece of art? Anyways he said he pushed down to hard and it wouldn't have happened if he didn't push down so hard. Such a great and clear explanation to why paying $100 goes to waste when employees are careless with their work. He said to figure out what we could do to fix it and to let him know. This place has poor customer service. I called ahead to see if they provide notary service. I was told someone would be there until 6 pm. I drove over to the store and was told he wasn't there. I told them I wish that would have been communicated over the phone when I told them I was on my way. They immediately had an attitude. They never apologized for the inconvenience. I work nearby and use UPS often (weekly basis). The staff is very friendly and helpful. I called ahead of time for a passport photo just to make sure someone was around for this service and they said to come in. I went in the morning and everything was completed in about 15 minutes. I also come her often for printing, mailing, or to buy stamps. My co-workers come here often also to pick up a card for a special occasion. The location is great! The workers don't recognize customers standing in line. I was waiting behind a customer today. A lady walks in and asks a question. Figured after the answer, she'd get in line. Nope! Just walked up to the register and completed a purchase. I spoke up, but the worker said it's ok. REALLY!?! Then, as I'm now waiting for that lady to complete her purchase, a guy walks in and another worker asks him if he can help him. REALLY!?! I've been to this ups store many times in the past. I have had mediocre experiences here. Nothing ever bad but nothing ever to rave about. Until today. I swear the stars aligned and the heavens opened. I was greeted by the most kind hearted and fresh faced staff I've ever come into contact with. I was greeted with a friendly hello and immediately helped by someone named Christa. She was very attentive to my needs and answered all of my questions! (I had a lot because I wasn't sure what I was doing) but she was incredibly patient with me and so kind and really went that extra mile for me which I was grateful for because the store was incredibly busy! But it wasn't just her! A girl with the name of a flower!!!! I think it's Lilly had me laughing so hard while I had to wait. She really made it more enjoyable. This UPS Store has been staffed by the same folks since 2004 when we first moved to the Bay Area, and they've always been helpful to me when I have shipping needs. Typically, I'll try to use the US Postal Service whenever possible, and as such, I just go to the Post Office. However, there are times when I need to do something after hours, on a weekend, or in a pinch, and these guys have never let me down. PROS: Easy to find, convenient location on The Alameda; Off-street parking; brightly lit store; friendly associates; convenient hours. CONS: Not many I can think of! Maybe a little pricey on the US Mail side of things, but you ARE at a *UPS* store, afterall; Parking can be sparse during peak Starbucks hours. read more
