I've been going to this store for about 18 years. It's a local business run by a man and his dad and it's an adorable business. If it's busy, it can be slow but that goes for Kinko's or any other place. Was just dropping off a package and asked the gray haired man with a beard and glasses if I could leave the package on the counter. I did so politely and he snatched the package from my hands and threw it on the ground behind him. Extremely rude and unexpected. This individual needs training on customer service. Seems like other people have had the exact same experience so guess this behavior continues to be a problem at this place. Any other place this guy would be fired. read more

The white male that works around 6pm is very rude I came in to send out a package and after I paid for my package to be sent I had more questions. He said he had to help the person who entered minutes after me BC she was in line. I have been in this UPS store on/off for a couple of years infrequently due to my only need is to Drop Off the Pre-Labeled packages on their table/counter top. Frequently, a 10 seconds drop off tasks for me is...The people inside (I don't know their names) would just ignore me and left me standing for over 10 mins while they would be busy cleaning their own tables, putting away their packaging tapes and doing their own paper works, etc.! I think that's very slow, rude and ignoring customers on multiple times! So, I will just go to other UPS stores for drop off even though it's further away from my home! Avoid this store! read more

Very friendly, personable gentleman working the counter. Makes me sad to read reviews from impatient, self-centered, privileged millennials that feel the world revolves around them and who have zero patience for actual interpersonal communication with a real person. I don't know why I even picked this place for pick up for a second time. It's bad enough you'll be waiting in line for 30mins but there's also no a/c so you get extra irritated. Don't go here. Old guy is so slow and takes forever. Always a line. I don't understand how every time to pickup my package it takes 20-30 mins! If I could give this store a zero I would. I had a Amazon return and he wouldn't take it and said I had to package it before they accepted. I said that's funny that other UPS sites in the city have no problem taking it unpackaged. Reply was each store has different policies. Ok sure, I'll take my business elsewhere. We were there Saturday at lunch time and the notary was not helpful. He was bordering on rude and not customer friendly.

Not only is the owner helpful, personable, and efficient, but he's also a Notary Public, and I've used his services several times. He was more knowledgeable about the correct way to do notary than two others I went to who ONLY did notary work. I had complicated paperwork that had to go out internationally, and also lease documents. Related to mailing packages, he was extremely helpful as I wanted to make sure something I sent was not going to break. He repacked it for me, and made sure I understood what was needed. Also when something had to be returned, same great service. I have been to 3 other UPS stores in the area and since going to this one, would not go anywhere else! If a zero rating could be given, that's what this store would get. It's one thing to conduct business with the older gentleman that runs it ( the father). In the other hand, that cretin of a son needs to find another job, not one where he needs to interact with customers. RUDE is a nice adjective. To call it what it actually was would be vulgar. After standing at the counter waiting for this person to finish his dog conversation while I stood there, he turns and gives a "yeah" like, geez, please do me the honor! I had an AT&T modem to return, with a pre-printed return label. AT&T specifically says to just return it as it is, and personnel at the UPS stores are supposed to inventory it, seal it and mail it. In addition, last time I had a return of similar material, the older man stated that it's better not to tape or adhere any labels to the packages as he checks them and them puts them in a pouch. No problem. I explained this to this overweight blading excuse for a customer-service agent. This knucklehead with a balding mullet ( TIP, they went out of "fashion" -if that can be said- in the 1980s) replies with a " .....I don't know what the F you've got going on there". Like, what did I just use, sign language.........? Again, I explained to him that his father had instructed me to return it as I did, AND AT&T also required it to be taken in for return back as it was. I actually had it all neatly packed. This person gets annoyed, irritated or I don't know what his problem was. Maybe because I did not look like a slob and am in shape, and have all my hair, he got mad ....? I tell him " what is your problem ? Why are you being so rude". He engages in a back and forth "I'm not being rude". I reassure him he is not only being rude, he is being downright asinine, and to put it in check or he is going to have problems. I see this is not going anywhere, so I opt to just leave, YES, I told him that he was an A hole. He was, and he being one by being impolite, rude and downright disrespectful. I mean Who TF do you think you are talking to, BUD ........?! I was done with this clown. As I walk out , I let him know that I am going to call UPS and file a complaint. His response " you go right ahead". Really? I just did, to the major Corporate UPS in SF. I said that I felt bad for his father to have to have to deal with a winner like him. The expletitives that followed were the expected answer from a person of such caliber. I also notified him that it was fortunate for him that that I was a gentleman and could not do anything about this. His response " get the F out of my store!". I mean, are you SERIOUS ? Too bad that I have WAY too much invested in my community, my family and my career to take matters into my own hands and give this aging, mulletized BOZO a lesson in manners. GO TO the Borel store on Bovet Rd. They guys there knew EXACTLY what to do, very politely and with no hassles. Time for this place, or that moron to go work at the car wash up the street. That's about the only place where his lack of skills can probably be applied ! Enough said. read more

Pathetic service! I went here to get some documents notarized. This guy had this attitude as if he were doing me a favor notarizing my docs. He started off pretty rude even while instructing me where to sign and where not to. I had a bunch of documents to get notarized so was sifting through them and this guy grumbles saying "Cummon now I don't have all day here for you". At that point my gut was to just gather all my docs from him and leave for another notarizing place. But on second thought I thought if I did that, this guy may cunningly charge me for even the few documents he had begun to have a look at. I was in no mood to argue. So in reply I just gave him an angry look and gulped down a larger part of my ego to get this work done on a Saturday afternoon when the probability of finding another open notary was questionable. Btw, this rude guy wasn't the older one but probably in his 50's. The older guy here did make an effort to make casual polite conversation with me earlier when I was waiting there. Skip is a sweet guy so please stop hatin' on him. True, he may come across as being grumpy at times and certain crybabies and/or poor sensitive souls might take offense in that. Grumpy as he was, he offered to store a bulky box of two U-Verse receivers and a router for me, when he realized that the shop's internet connection was down and he couldn't process the return order on the spot. When I came back the next day, all the paperwork was already there for me to sign. I was in and out in 10 minutes - 8 of which was spent chatting with him about random stuff, including how he is not a big fan of the AT&T equipment return process (and nobody is). So strangely enough, I am rather fond of him. Maybe because he reminds me of Carl Fredricksen (http://pixar.wikia.com/Carl_Fredricksen) sans the tennis ball-lined walking stick. read more

If you want anything sent promptly, do not go there. We dropped off a package on the 8th and it only left that store on the 11th!!! This is unacceptable. The guy probably just put my package at the corner and wait for it to pile up and then send it out. My husband called the tracking number and just found this out. He even knew I wanted it to go out as fast as possible with the most inexpensive way. What a cheat! I will never go there again. read more

On April 15, 2014 I was in the store look for a box to ship my items. There were numerous boxes again the wall. I began to check the boxes against the wall with my package. Immediately the employee, a white man in is late 50s, wearing glasses, raised his voice advising me not to tear up the boxes. I told him I was not tearing up the boxes but comparing sizes. He told me to measure my box because he has more boxes in the back. Mind you this is my first time here and there are no other employees to assist. He was unprofessional and has zero customer service skills. He tried to argue with me while people were in line. I told him i would take my business else where What a loser. Unlike the previous owners, he greets customers with big smiles and attends their business with agility and efficiency. Amazing customer service and super friendly. I went in to overnight a birthday gift. I showed up with a large box I had at the house and I was going to get packing material and tape from them. I didn't think the box size would have such a significant impact on the shipping cost and I was happy that I didn't have to buy a box. I was helped by Ali who is either the manager or the owner and he immediately asked if that was the only item I was shipping to which I replied yes. He immediately checked the shipping cost on my box, which I guess is related to box dimensions and weight. He then proceeded to get another box that was of a much more appropriate size and showed me the huge savings even after the cost of buying the box. This type of integrity is hard to find these days. It would've been much easier/quicker for him to have just done as I asked and definitely much more profitable for him. If you want honest and sincere service then this is the place to go. read more

Wow - so I am unsure what's up with all the negative reviews, but I thought these guys were great! I decided to use this store as they were very close to some other errands I had to do and the ONLY place open past 6PM on the Peninsula. I walked in, helped myself to some tape (which I needed to buy anyway) and started filling out all the forms. The person working the counter told me I did not need to fill out the forms, he could save me some time and he did. I had lots of Amazon stuff to send back this place made it painless and was super customer focused. Even this place is farther than some other places by my house, I will drive out of my way to go here. read more

I've use this place for several years due to the proximity to my house, but I won't be going back again. It's the slowest imaginable service, they rip you off for things like taping up your box or packing peanuts, and add it to your bill without even asking you. And one of the guys, Mark, is an immature jerk if he's having a bad day. read more
