Awful customer service!!! You either get slight impatience or you get bullied at this place. The first time the guy comes out of the bathroom still zipping his pants before helping me. The second time, there was a long line, so he's frazzled and gives me terrible attitude. When I asked him if he needed the original from the top of the package, he says it's too late now, you should have taken that out before you got here, and you are on the phone. Sorry, it was an important phone call and I needed to answer just to give a quick reply. Are we not allowed to answer our phones in an UPS store anymore? It's like I was just talking to my mother. Rude customer service. Came for notary service, but learned he was already gone for the day. Guy behind the counter was rude, unhelpful, and didn't want to answer my questions of when the notary would be available. Funny because when I came in he was being super helpful and jovial with the customer ahead of me. Mood totally changed when I walked up to the counter. Not sure what that was about. This old man that runs this place has got to be the rudest person I've ever met. As he was taping a rug for another woman and used about half the roll when I asked if I could borrow he jerked the tape from my hand and said NO... I'm using it. Then after 19 minutes of waiting n him taping up the ladies 8x10 rug he ask was I just dropping off. I said yes, but I need to tape the box which would have only needed 1 small piece of tape. He then proceeds to tell me they don't give tape away...if have to buy it. Nevermind the fact he'd just used a whole roll on the ladies rug ahead of me. So Very rude. I also would give this store 0 stars if I could. I am NOT a self-centered privileged millennial. I am a senior who deserves respect just like all people do. I went in to drop off a prepaid package and the Very GRUMPY MEAN older gentleman was serving another customer and there was a long line of 4 more waiting. Since mine was only a dropoff, most shippers have locations to just place the package. I went to the counter and said this was just a drop off, can I just leave it. He sighed very loud, gave me a look that would kill, slammed down what he was working on, took my package and THREW it on the floor. I was trying to help his long line and he treated me like dirt. I have read other reviews of this store and of course nothing has been done with this employee, still there, still treating customers poorly. SO I would advise that you do NOT go to this location. read more

Buyers beware. Ask for pricing BEFORE they pack anything. Old guy grossly over charged me by more than double than what another ups store did. He blatantly refused to show me any written pricing for the boxes, which was enough for me to take my item back. Not sure how this place stays open with such absolutely horrible customer service. read more

there are 2 people that i know o who work at this location. one old man (may be in his late 60s) and the other middle-aged man. the older guy is cool, but the middle-aged man who works here is a dick. he was reluctantly helping a woman ahead of me which was taking a long time for some reason, so i asked him if i could leave my package on the counter which already had a label, he said yes even without looking at me, and as soon as i left my package on the counter, SOB grabbed my package and threw it on the floor, (like threw threw). it wasn't anything fragile so I left but i would've given that SOB a piece of my mind if i had anything fragile in there. read more

I've been a mailbox customer here since 2008. Skip and Mark have always treated me kindly and competently. I order a lot from Amazon, and they've never lost a package, and have been very patient with me when it's taken me a while to pick them up. They've also never rushed me when I've shown up near closing time. Not sure why others have had bad experiences, but my experiences over a long period of time have been wholly positive. read more

On November 6th, I went to the UPS Store located at 7 West 41st Avenue, San Mateo, California. There I spoke with the clerk Mark. I explained that my grandma just passed away on October 26th and I was there to ship what she left to me. I repeated several times that the items were fragile and irreplaceable. I also marked my boxes fragile and this side up. He said, "No problem" and had me fill out the shipping form. I described my possessions to him in detail as I completed the form. Mark made sure that I checked the boxes on the form that read "Breakable and Not Replaceable." Mark did not at any time indicate any risk with shipping these type items; he weighed each box and told me the charges for each of the 12 boxes. On November 9th, the shipment arrived at my home in Frisco, Texas. I saw Ben, the UPS delivery driver drop the first package down onto his cart. Shocked, I ran out to ask do you not see these boxes are marked fragile? His reply was that all boxes are handled the same. He asked if the store reviewed these boxes to ensure they were properly packaged. The boxes delivered were damaged, some torn open some smashed. There are more than half broken pieces, the majority of which are shattered. Valuables, such as Imported Fine China, Bone China Teacups, porcelain, crystal, etc. were in these boxes. On November 27, Greg came out to take pictures of our boxes in which I had already removed most of the items. He informed us if he were the man in the store, based on the items and weight, he would have never let them be shipped out of a UPS Store. My mom called the UPS store and explained to Mark what happened, he said, they are not responsible for the way the drivers handle the boxes. On December 7, a message was left my Skip, the storeowner that the claim was denied because the boxes were not packed properly. The United Parcel Services advertises itself as being a reliable and experienced company. The business code of conduct needs to be questioned regarding company and employee responsibility, procedures and communication, which have been violated. Set shipping standards of the company were never explained or any risk assessment mentioned. The service provided at the store was misleading to me because truthful information was withheld. What can Brown do for you???? Deny my claim and not even offer to refund the shipping charges!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Be sure to check and double check when mailing anything international with these folks, because I experienced a disaster with them sending a package to China via USPS that was missing a 3 letter word which could make a difference in delivering to places such as China. Then the merchant was insisting that they did not receive the package, but yet the package did not come back, so therefore it ended up somewhere. Anywho Ebay was involved, they did not cover the package for a refund because of their 45 day return policy. Paypal was believing the merchant. Amex card took 4 months to investigate. If I would have gone to the post office directly it would have cost me $40 less with ins. and less headache. Don't give yourself a heart attack, take the extra time for businesses that make sure you get taken care of. I spoke to the owner when I asked for the refund of the $1,400 item the merchant kept insisting he didn't get, he said he would get back to me............... I'm still waiting. Customer Service has gone to the dogs just about everywhere, unless you are on top of everything. read more
