Friendly, helpful, well informed staff who seemed genuinely concerned about the samples I was sending & why we needed them to get delivered within a certain time frame. In the past I have had very good service from this location. I typically deal with a gentleman who is very polite, and keeps me informed about how my packages will be sent, best pricing, when my package will arrive, and always has me verify the address on the label etc. I had an encounter with a female worker today, who was extremely rude, rolled her eyes several times, argued with me that I had never sent a package to the address that I was sending it to (an address to which I've sent many packages) ,and mumbled several rude comments under her breath. She was not careful with my fragile belongings at all, and when I asked her to please be careful because they were fragile, she passed them off to a coworker saying "will you pack these because I don't want to touch them". She tried to get me out of the door as fast as possible, not telling me when the packages will arrive to their Destination, not having me verify the address on the label, not asking me what I was sending, not asking me to whom they should be addressed, just not doing her job. Her customer service was lackluster to say the least, and a bad attitude overall. I will not be returning to this location ever again; bummer because I send a lot of packages and like to support local. I guess I will continue to go down to the location in Montecito plaza in San Rafael where I've NEVER had any issues in 20+ years. read more

this is the worst UPS store i've ever been to. i usually don't leave bad reviews but i literally wouldn't feel right not leaving one. i came inside the store to print out a label for not even 3 minutes and wasn't able to log in. i told the lady i'd come right back and she said she has to charge me $3 even though i didn't print out anything! i paid $3 and left. i came back and the same thing happened, the guy at the register starts yelling MAAM, you need to pay!! i told him i just paid $3 for nothing! i could understand if i was sitting on the computer for 10+ minutes but it hadn't even been 5 and i couldn't even get through to what i came there for. he told me don't use the computer if i didn't want to pay. how about you try and assist me? not once did anyone ask me what was wrong or offer an alternative so i can print. i told the girl i wasn't able to print to begin with and all she was worried about was charging me. $3 is insane! it says .30 per minute, charging for computer use is crazy anyways. do better! id leave 0 stars if i could. read more

I've shipped from here and that was fine, but I popped in on Saturday to print something out and was told that they couldn't help me as they had already turned off their computers because they were closing at 4pm. It was 3:15 when I went in. I'm not sure if it's standard practice to shut down your computers a full 45 minutes before closing, but that sounds like a terrible business strategy implemented by staff who don't want customers. I'm a regular mailbox customer here, and this is my go-to place to get it done. The staff is knowledgeable, super EFFICIENT, and friendly. Use them for printing/copying jobs too. The FedEx/Kinko's across Frietas told me a particular job would take 48 hours and require a custom job- thank god I went across to the UPS Store where they printed up full color, double sided, newsletters for me in 20 minutes. Special kudos to the staff- they are seriously a model for customer service. In summary, if you need to get it done quickly, get over to the UPS Store. read more

A tip jar at the UPS Store? C'mon guys. Loose the tip jar and I'd be happy to revisit my review however its difficult to walk into an "in and out" service-oriented retail business (especially one tied to a big, established company) and then get hit up right away for tips. I recognize the store is probably independently owned and operated but its not very professional and I doubt the UPS franchise folks would be really happy with it. read more

Finally! A fabulous ups store! It really is.. Took a number of return packages to them, one today, and I was in and out in seconds.. They also took passport pictures of my toddler after 5 failed attempts at other places, the pictures were great! Ready in a couple of minutes, professionally done from the first time.. Oh my gosh, just walk in with a bag of goodies to mail, and they will pack your box for you, and ship it pronto. All in one easy step. Makes it so easy to send a package off to my daughter in college. Service is awesome too. I really appreciate having this easy service around and available. read more

I went in here looking for a very large box earlier this week and found it. The two female store employees I engaged with were helpful and nice. I went back later that same day after I realized that my box had been taped upside down and just wanted some help fixing that (it was a really big box!) and again the employees were nice and helpful. Lucky for me, the owner, Bob, was in the store the 2nd time I was there and he noticed that I was packing a very large skull with huge horns with newspaper and he helped me to pack it properly. He was knowledgeable about packing things and right away, he knew what to do with my kinda odd skull. He was really nice and I could tell he wanted to make sure my item was secure (and no, he was not just trying to sell me more stuff). When I had arrived at the store, I was in a bad mood due to a an annoying experience I had had just before, but Bob's helpfulness and niceness even improved my mood that evening! I really appreciated that this minor task I had to do was so pleasant and it goes to show that no matter what you do, if you do it well and are nice, you can really have a positive impact on people. Convenient but very inefficient and unreliable. It doesn't matter if you are a regular customer and in their database, you still have to manually fill out forms! (Other UPS stores pull up your information on the spot, use your existing information and automatically print previously used addressee's). Neither do you get a tracking code on the spot; you're told it will be emailed to you later. Inefficient and unreliable. read more

As I am a mobile loan signing agent, I utilize UPS Services all over Marin and Sonoma Counties. The Store on Northgate is my very favorite! Linda and the gentleman I jokingly call "Steve-Mike" are wonderful. They are very friendly, efficient and professional. Just happened on these guys when my daughter found this location on her iPhone. Had a heavy box to send back to LL Bean. One of the guys inside saw me having difficulty carrying the box to the store from parking, and zoomed out to take it while another opened the door. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Usually, I have to take shipments into the San Rafael store, another five miles away. I like the location and the people. They seem a cut above the usual UPS store, and I will be using them as my go to store in future. read more

this is the most helpful and friendly UPS store I have been in. The shipped antiques for me and they arrived in perfect condition. I now bring all y packages to them instead of Fed Ex or USPO. The employees are the the best in any of the other shipping outlets available. The treat you as a person not a Box. Love them and will continue to use them. read more

So get there 10 minutes prior to closing ...Brian was on phone servicing a customer whom he told he would help if they get in the store by 4pm. Surprise in walks a lady at 4:00 ...he's helping me (with a bit of an attitude) makes me fill out the stupid order form (normally I go to Novato branch where they graciously look up my name and number where I ship frequently) he's ringing me up...meanwhile telling the lady who needed a notary (even though she made it in) they didn't want to service her ..she had to beg for customer service (she needed notary for child custody issue & was waiting for someone to meet her with the documents) needless to say they wasted 10 min telling her they didn't want to help her...;( but back to me I asked to see the label so verify the shipping details he wouldn't show it to me told me he was processing it Monday that he was going off the form I filled out? Now I have paid for the shipping ...and he said they would email me the tracking number Monday ...terrible service they were rude to the poor lady needing help with a notary and then completely rude to me! I just wanted to be sure my package arrives to my nephew for his birthday..now I am worried that my package will not be sent correctly as I couldn't verify it like the Novato ups store allows. I will never use this branch again they have no customer service..don't go here! read more

I had them help me with several shipments - one at Christmas when I was in a last-minute bind and another time to ship expensive electronics and computer equipment. I recently used this UPS store location for the second time and I will not return. I shipped two birthday gifts to my nieces (two different addresses). I worked with Rosie at the location and had one already boxed and labeled and had to purchase a shipping container for the second gift. They had me complete a paper invoice and list both packages and addresses on the same invoice. Unfortunately because this location does not complete the actual shipping labels while you are in the store (they just enter the info in their computer and give you a copy of the paper invoice, receipt and send you an email), I had no way of knowing that Rosie incorrectly labeled the gifts and they each went to the incorrect address. I was notified 3 days later by family who received the wrong package and contacted Rosie at the store location. She apologized and said she mislabeld the packages. We discussed what could be done and agreed that she would have UPS go back out to the two locations, pick up the packages and re-ship them to the correct addresses. By that time, both birthday gifts would be late, but that seemed like the best resolution. However, 3 business days later, UPS still had not picked up either package. I gave up and instructed both Moms to please return the incorrect gifts they received and exchange them for something their daughter did want from the store. Big hassle for both families and both girls did not receive a birthday card and received their gift late for their birthday. I then called the store again and spoke with the Owner (Bob) wife. I explained the situation and said I just wanted a refund of the $30+ charge at this point. She said she had to talk with her husband and investigate and would get back to me. Never received a call back so called again this morning and left a message as they did not answer the phone. Did not receive a call back this morning so just called again and spoke with Rosie who said that Bob wanted her to call UPS and find out what happened and she assured me the packages would be picked up today. Of course, I said it was too late as both gifts are being returned to the stores and that as I requested yesterday, I just want a refund. She said she would talk with Bob and get back to me. I now give up and am just going to contest the charge on my card. I understand mistakes happen and if it was simply corrected, I would be ok. However, not only was it not corrected, but there has been continued lack of communication and no apology at all! USPS is looking better- hard to believe! Be sure if you mail multiple packages at the same time to fill out one form per package to ensure they make it to the correct address! read more
