This was my third visit to this UPS location, all for a simple notary service. On my first visit, I was told they preferred that I make an appointment. Fair enough. I went home, scheduled an appointment, and returned. When I arrived, the appointment wasn't honored. So I came back a third time, around 10:00 a.m., when the store was empty. Once again, I asked for notary service and was met with a condescending attitude from the same employee. He told me they normally require an appointment or advance call and that "most people do that," but he would do it for me "this time." I politely explained that I had, in fact, scheduled an appointment on my previous visit and it wasn't honored. His response was, "Well, we get busy and it's a retail store." Make it make sense. If appointments are required, honor them. If they're not required, don't lecture customers for not having one. The rules seemed to change depending on the day, and instead of receiving help, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing the staff by requesting a service they advertised. No customer should have to visit the same location three times to get a document notarized. More importantly, no customer should be met with snarky or dismissive behavior when asking for a routine service. I won't be returning, and some members of the staff could benefit from customer service training. I'd recommend finding another location if you need notary services. read more

I needed to send a package to Mexico. I handed a piece of paper with the typed address of the recipient, but unfortunately, due to the clerk's negligence, the recipient's address was copied incorrectly. I asked the clerk to verify it on a small computer screen because I am 76 years old and visually impaired; however, the mistake was not spotted and not corrected by the clerk. Needless to say, the package never arrived at its destination. While tracking the package, I became aware of the mistake. I returned to the store with a request to correct the recipient's address, but my request was denied. When the package arrived back to me, I went to the store to ask for a refund for the service that was not performed. I was given a promise and was to be contacted by the store within a maximum of 2 days, but after 10 days, I did not hear from them. I contacted the UPS customer service to ask for help. I was directed from one department to another, and at the end, it was just a waste of time. I recommend finding an alternative shipping service instead of UPS. read more

Alli is the BEST! I deal with multiple locations of UPS Store for my business in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Scottsdale and not all locations are the same. Some are better than others to deal with and this is by far the most professional, well-run and courteous location I work with. I wish everyone was like this. Alli is so competent and willing to help and really goes above and beyond to work with her customers, sometimes when she doesn't have to. I always have positive experiences at this location but I hope she especially is recognized for her service to her company. read more

I wish I could give Store 7001 a hundred stars! Allie and the team there went above and beyond to help me box an assembled desk to return to Amazon. Allie, packaging specialist, constructed a custom box to box up the desk! And her co-worker, the night before, was exceptionally helpful to offering me a solution to get the desk packaged in a box for return. MANY thanks to both employees there and being such amazing helpers with positive, friendly, sincere customer service to ensure I was fully taken care of! I had a chance to let the owner know of their 100 star customer service to me as well and compliment her on her choice, training and support of her employees to help people like me resolve a very taxing situation! I have NEVER had better service at a UPS store. period. Needed to get fingerprints done they walked me through step by step and made sure everything was correct. I use this store several times a week and I'm always impressed with the quality of the service. They are very friendly and professional. The UPS Store 4990 on East Shea in Scottsdale. In 40 years I would have to say this is my first negative review. I usually focus on positive reviews to help businesses, especially during these crazy times and get over a negative experience when someone is having a bad day, but not in April 2021. Maddie or Madeline, the clerk, at the UPS Store on East Shea #4990 was so incredibly rude and unjustifiably impatient and disrespectful towards me. This needed to be written. I entered the store along with my friend. We both had the same size box to ship. One girl, processed my friend's package in about 10 minutes (quick and easy). I had a fairly new girl and I worked with her but I was now about 45 minutes into not getting it even close to being shipped and even suggested see how the other box was processed for reference. A blonde girl came out from the back, did not say anything to me but asked to see my cell phone with my list. I said I already gave a breakdown to the new person, but Maddie wanted to start over and use my personal cell phone and asked me to unlock my phone. She proceeded to use my phone without consulting me at all, to confirm what she was entering in the computer compared to my phone. When I tried to tell her the amount was incorrect she told me to be quiet she couldn't think. Then I asked for a calculator to help with the breakdown and she said she did not have one. She had my cell in her hand and then proceeded to delete my items off my personal property, my phone. I said you cannot do that, it is my cell phone and my personal property and I need that list for my record. She told me to leave the store if I was accusing her of using my phone. She seriously was so rude and if the cameras and video were on all of this would be verified. All of this would be documented, but she had my cell phone so I told her to stop deleting my list that I needed it. I told her she made me so upset, I was shaking. I have never experienced such rudeness. It was disturbing more than just upsetting.. I am in the service industry and I have a UPS mailbox I have had for years and I have dealt with many UPS locations for years. This young woman, seemed off, like something was wrong with her. The other staff were polite. This girl is ruining your store - if she worked for me, it would be a short-lived employment. No apologies needed as I will never be back. We left and shipped 5 more boxes from another UPS location the same week with great knowledgeable service and polite staff. read more

I mentioned I would prefer to get it done now and you dismissed me quoting "it will take more than 8 mins." We used to have a mailbox here, a few years ago. A family member accidentally sent a Christmas gift to this location last week. I went into this location to find the package - after all, the tracking number confirmed that it was delivered to the mail room. The workers were rude and incompetent. So rude, in fact, I find myself inclined to write this review on my way home. The man working couldn't help me, so I had to wait for some lady to get off the phone. After waiting, she promptly tells me, "Your box has been terminated a long time ago and we probably don't have you package. And I cannot tell you where it is." After repeatedly telling her that I know my box was terminated, I am just looking for a package, she was persistently rude and wouldn't listen to me. We enjoyed this location very much when we had our mailbox. But after this experience, I've been left frustrated. I hope nobody else has to deal with such incompetent behavior. read more
