This is the worst UPS store I have visited. We were trying to drop off a package that did not get picked up from our place. Instead of helping us get a return label the owner was extremely rude. He behaved as though he was doing a favour accepting the package. We would have been happy to pay but he was rude and unhelpful. We left the place without returning the package there and will never go back. Suggest never going to this place where basic courtesy for customer doesn't exist especially during the world wide pandemic. read more

Loved it! I was so nervous, because I was trying to figure out how to pack and send 17 large music boxes and four boxed games back to a company. I had call tags and some packing boxes, but not enough, and the guy who helped me, Jonah, was calm, efficient and practical. He helped me get the music boxes and games out of my car and package what I could with the material I had. Then he sold me another big box and packed it up for shipping, too! What a laughable experience. I needed to print one sheet of paper. I was directed to the printing station. I printed. I brought my single sheet of paper printed in b&w to the register. The employee told me it would be $2.50 for the computer plus the cost of the page. So like almost $3 to print one piece of paper. He noticed my floored reaction and offered to comp the computer charge "just this one time, but it does say it all over the computer." Thanks yeah, I'm illiterate so I didn't see. I just assumed that less than one minute to print one page would be the cost of the page. Am I crazy? I asked him what he recommends in the future if I need to print ONE page of paper. He said he wasn't sure what FedEx charges but try them. You got it. read more

This is the location I use for my business mailbox. The manager is super-friendly and always hands me my mail when he sees me come in, and is great to talk to. Their box rentals are higher than what I was used to in Fremont, but I imagine it is probably because the rents are higher in Queen Anne. They have long hours, which is great if you miss a mailing at the post office. I love that they always have candy. It's not a big deal I know but it makes me happy to go in there and (IMO) adds to the service. The reason why I didn't give it a higher rating is because of the frigging ridiculous parking garage. Who designed that thing??? My god, if your car is any bigger than a smartcar you have to be a size 0 just to get out of it if anyone is parked next to you! If I had a sunroof I'd climb out of that instead! Sometimes I even fantasize about parking in the disabled parking space (dear god please forgive me). Now, I know that most of us americans drive these huge monster cars, but even smaller compact cars have a hard time fitting into these spaces. It makes me think of an exboyfriend I had when I was living in France. He referred to his Volkswagon Jetta as a tank. "A Tonk? What's a 'tonk'" I asked, the first time he said it. "No- tank! Like in the army." "Oh.... wait- you are talking about the Jetta? You can't be serious?" Yes, he was, preferring to drive his mother's ratty old tin can death-trap of a car, which had a manual transmission with a non-functioning 2nd gear and questionable brakes (you had to use the hand brake at stoplights). (Oh but it was very small!) So perhaps the genius who designed the parking garage at the UPS store was somehow related to Jean Philippe, and is just doing their little part to try and encourage people to drive tiny little cars.... Not a bad goal really but if I have to suck in my stomach again just to get out of my car I just might have to park on the street, lol. read more

I went to the store to pick up a package that was being held after an unsuccessful delivery to my home. The package contained important medicine for my son who was out of the country. The clerk, a woman who berated me repeatedly for receiving the package outside of their usual "hold" policy (despite the fact that the store had already agreed to hold the package), kept trying to find reasons not to give it to me. When it finally was handed to me, she derisively said "It couldn't have been that urgent." I felt insulted and dismissed by an employee who should have helped me. This was the easiest shipping experience ever! There was no line unlike when I went to the post office the other day. I had to ship something back to Amazon and of course I didn't keep the box. That would be silly of me and make my life to easy. So I went in with my stuff in a paper bag, I told him that I needed to box this and ship it. It cost me $6 for them to package it up for me. We can't say enough how well taken care of Ingrid made us feel on our visit. It was a one stop shop and she had wondeful service with a smile. We had documents notarized, shipped a few packages, and had a bunch of Amazon returns. She showed patience as we had our newborn with us and she even offered to print off some documents for us since the computer was in use. Since I live two blocks away the parking lot issue usually isn't a problem for me. There are usually parking spaces (turn right after the store into the garage), but the other reviewers are right in that space is tight. The store is usually kept immaculately clean and uncluttered (the holiday rush may be a necessary exception). They clearly take pride in the store's appearance. The other ups, usps, and fedex stores I've been to are disasters by comparison. Since I also live two blocks away from usps, it is worth mentioning that their prices might be better that the Roy St. UPS Store. That said, after trying usps twice I will never go back. Each time I had to wait about half an hour just to get to the counter and get crappy service. At least at the UPS store you get what you pay for - fast, friendly service, expert packaging, cheap shipping insurance and an easy to use online tracking number. They also make copies and print and bind documents if you need it done. read more

4 stars - The UPS store is located in the heart of Queen Anne. I only use the store for Amazon returns. The process is really simple, you just drop it off. I had to drop off a couple of pre-labeled UPS packages here, so I thought I'd have them do a small print job instead of making a second stop at Kinko's. My experience with Kinko's is that I give them my USB drive, tell them what I want done, and they take care of everything for me. At the UPS store they expected me to figure out how to their computer system and printer myself. At the UPS store they didn't carry the type and size of paper I needed. At the UPS store the clerk stayed on the phone with his friend the whole time he was "helping" me. So I went across the street to Kinko's and they completed my job in less than 5 minutes, and it looks great. I'll never try the UPS store again. read more

I have had my mailbox here for over 3 years, and from the beginning the staff here have exceeded my expectations. Its great to get to have my amazon packages delivered here securely. As a mailbox holder, they have also faxed things for me, and I have mailed small packages using both their USPS and UPS services. i hardly ever ship things but every single time i go into this specific ups location, the service has been extremely unfriendly and lacking. the first time there was one person servicing many people at a busy time of day...which i can certainly understand creates a slowdown. the time after that i went to buy boxes. there were 2 people working in there at the time...not one person talked to me until it was time to pay. but the most recent visit i had was simply to drop off a prepaid usps box. the person working was extremely unfriendly...couldn't have been bothered that i was in the store. i asked about the pick up time and this person said that it won't go out until the following morning so i should take it to the post office. really!? so i did just that. the location is convenient to the lower queen anne area which is awesome but fedex is right across the street so in the future, that is where i will be shipping from. sorry ups...friendly and efficient service is important. after three not so great visits...well, i gave it a shot. read more

Shipped something through them a couple of months ago. Online tracking wasn't working, so I called them and they emailed me the delivery information. I had send a return and shipper was claiming they had not received part of the return, so I called the store again and asked them for the weight of the items returned. They emailed this information to me promptly, and they were super courteous on both occasions. read more

Sent several packages to California. Two boxes looked like they had been dropped off the roof of a building. Several pieces of dinnerware were broken. The total is well below the supposed $100 insurance per box. Filed a claim form with UPS. They pointed me back to the local store. Very helpful and knowledgable staff. I go to this UPS store a lot and every time I am met with friendly and eager faces. They have a can do attitude and the knowledge to make sure my packages are safely packed and shipped correctly to their destinations. The store does get busy but that is because they do a consistently great job. I ship for my small business mostly and they have a lot of added features and benefits for small business owners and make things as smooth and streamlined as possible. In addition, if i have some large items to ship, they are very easy to crate with/and/or freight ship - even large valuables. One of my friends even used them to assist in shipping their car across the country. The staff seems genuine and really go the extra mile to add a personal and local feel to their business. I do not recommend using this store to package your items. While visiting my mom in Seattle we dropped off a stereo receiver and remote to be sent to me in LA. When I got the package I emptied the mountains of popcorn packaging - took out the bubble wrapped stereo, I did not see the remote in the popcorn which a friend helped me remove. When I opened the bubble wrapped receiver I assumed the remote would be enclosed with the stereo. It was not. Upon calling the store to inquire about the remote- to see if it was still at the store and after several phone calls the manager Dan said "this happens all the time" and there was nothing he could or would do about it. He actually told me three different times that "this happens a the time" If this happens all the time why don't they address it? I can't be sure the remote was in the package. I have filed a complaint with UPS about the packaging procedure and the way the manager handled my complaint. read more

This store is fine it is UPS that I have a problem with. We had a package get delayed because of weather in the midwest. Which would be understandable if the item was coming from back east somewhere. But it wasn't . It was coming from Spokane. Come to find out UPS ships items going from Spokane to Seattle thru their hub in Kentucky. Well, this is about UPS in general. My wife had a package from Amazon delivered to our house. It's not here yet because of UPS. It arrived in Seattle at 6 AM. Today is Friday, it is now 6PM. They attempted to deliver it to our house on Tuesday afternoon. We work (who doesn't?) so we weren't there to pick it up. The yellow and brown tag they left said they would re-deliver on Wednesday. So I take a vacation day to wait for it. No delivery at 6PM. We call. They say the end of the delivery day is 7 PM and it should be delivered by then. 7PM and no delivery. We call again. They say the end of their delivery day is REALLY 9:30PM. We wait (we had errands we had to defer). 9:30 PM and NO DELIVERY. We call and get the run around. We ask for a supervisor. She calls the Seattle office and finds out that the "package never made it on the truck." So if that is true, we have been lied to three times already by customer "service". The supervisor apologizes and said this was a screw up and should not have happened, and said she issued a "concern" notice on this package, and that (since Thursday was New Years Day and they don't deliver that day), that I would get a call Friday morning at 10AM to confirm the time of my delivery that day. I schedule another day of vacation on Friday. 10AM Friday, no call. I get a call at 11:30 AM telling me that 'the package has made it on the truck", but they couldn't tell me when it would be delivered. 2 PM, still no delivery, I would like to get some errands done today, but I can't leave. I haven't even showered yet, I'm afraid they will come when I am getting clean. I send an email to my wife at work, she calls UPS and leaves them a message wondering where the package is. I get a call at 3:30 PM, that tells me "the package made it on the truck" and "an attempt would be made to deliver it." They couldn't tell me when. An attempt????? Just deliver it!!!!! 6:30 PM, still no package. They don't deliver on Saturdays or Sundays. I'm starting to think they don't deliver on weekdays either. My wife is out of luck. She is leaving on vacation Sunday without the item she was expecting. I guess I will have to schedule a pickup at their warehouse facility 20 miles from our house. Maybe I can make it after work before they close. My conclusion: never use UPS. They are not concerned with customer service, or they wouldn't tell you so many lies and they would be open and deliver on Saturdays. Even the Post Office delivers then. I won't do any more business with them, and I won't do any more business with other businesses that use them exclusively. UPS owes me two full days of vacation that they wasted for me. Customer-service here is outstanding! I came into the store at 5:29pm with an overnight shipment, the cut-off time is 5:30pm, but the front-desk person (Jessica) was willing to help me very quickly get the package sealed and scanned. On top of that, she took it and ran outside to the driver and gave him the package before he drove-away. She could have easily just said it was "too late" and gone about her normal business, but she chose to put the customer first and went the extra mile. read more
