My local UPS store located close to I-45 on Rayford Rd. It is convenient to reach (unlike several businesses on the frequently congested Rayford Rd) regardless of whether you are travelling East or West, even in rush hour. They have ample parking and the store, while fairly small, is light, airy and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a good team spirit, and this shows in everything they do. You are always greeted with a smile and their sense of humor sometimes is reflected by the sign outside (sometimes boring and business-like, for instance "All of our notaries have the required 2016 stamp" to some tongue in cheek humorous and timely comment - always worth a glance as you drive by :) ) Their efficiency is reflected in the fact that I am always in and out very quickly because they guide me, pull up shipping addresses I have used before etc and everything just flows smoothly. Every now and again you need a Notary Public - this is the place to go! I get the impression that all the staff there are certified and it is always a breeze. Just last week when there for this purpose I took my puppy Ricky Martin in with me and learnt that they are all puppy lovers - he was swarmed with affection. It's a UPS store, they provide the same products and services as any other UPS store because it's a franchise. So then how would you rate such a store on Yelp? Well, the main factor to differentiate one UPS store from another, in my opinion, would be customer service, right? I have only visited this location a few times in the past couple of years, really just to return some Amazon products. Out of those visits, the staff was always friendly and helpful, I dropped off my item(s), obtained my receipt and left. Aaaaaah yes, but there's always an exception..... One middle-aged man, perhaps in his early 50's, needs to either stay in the back and work on accounting and operations or brush up on his customer service skills. During one visit, I dropped off a box with an item in it. I was reusing the box from a previous shipment, so I peeled off the shipping label from it. By doing so, a very thin layer of the box surface was removed with the shipping label. This gentleman proceeded to tell me in a condescending manner, that by doing so, the integrity of the box is weakened, or something to that effect. My feelings were not hurt, I just wanted to send off the item, but wow, really? It's not rocket science, it's not like I exposed a hole in the box, you couldn't even see the corrugated pattern underneath. On another occasion, I entered the store and there was a young gentleman helping another customer so I stood and waited, no problem. The middle aged man was also present by the counter but was looking down and appeared to be doing something, also no problem, I'll wait until either one is ready. I glance off to the side as I'm waiting, then my head turns back to the middle aged man who is standing and staring right at me with one arm in the air, palm facing up, as if to tell me: "Well???? What do you want?". He says absolutely NOTHING. Um, are you serious? How about "Yes sir, how how can I help you!", or "Yes, sir", hell I would have accepted a half-hearted "NEXXXXXT.....!" I approach and tell him nicely that I am returning an Amazon product, then hand over the box. He begins his routine, and shortly after grabs the scan device and holds it out towards me saying ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Apparently that was my queue to hold my QR code to the scanner. Funny thing was, the marquee sign that was outside, had some type of inspirational message on it, I just had to laugh and shake my head as I left. read more

Worst customer service. You'll come in ask for your package - give name/company name, box number. They stand around as if they've never seen any mail under the aforementioned. The owner has yelled at my Boss on the phone before, they misplace packages and can't find them. Had to drive all the way back from Sugarland to this location to locate my package after being hung up on - they suddenly found it. Walk in and unless you're White it seems they don't acknowledge your presence. The owner is very sarcastic and ignorant. This is just my observation and I would change locations but they are one of two locations that accept the type of shipping I need. Lack of professionalism is through the ceiling! Do better! Update:10/2019 Good customer service means helping customers efficiently, in a friendly manner. It's essential to be able to handle issues for customers and do your best to ensure they are satisfied. ... In my experience, good customer service is always being positive and willing to assist your customers to the best of your abilities. With the aforementioned being stated. Due to my previous Poor review of this location. We called in and inquired about our mail box and were told by a MIKE that they no longer can do business with us. When questioned as to why; he stated - "you gave us a bad review on Yelp!" Mind you no name was given when call was made just mail-box number. So instead of reaching out in a productive manner they fished comments and made associations. Tell me; in what business - say a restaurant, do you have a bad service and leave a poor review do they forbid you from dinning in their establishment again. Reminder, this is a UPS. So, rather than rectify the issue and apologize seeing where adjustments to service could be made. They deny our business. Which only further helps our initial grievance. Can I give them ten stars? I showed up right before Christmas with something like 250 irregularly-shaped calendars going to about twenty different locations. The manager pulled me out of line to let the hordes of Christmas shippers ship their packages, and worked with me to get themselves sorted out. Once he wrapped his mind around the magnitude of my shipping requirements, he told me he'd take it in back, work it all out, and call me when everything was ready to be shipped. Everyone here is super helpful. I drop off packages I prep at home and ship from here all the time. You can tell they have a focus on customer service. I actually feel loyal to this store because of the great service I always get. Shipping UPS can be pricey, so if you're able and you want to save some dough ask them for the cheapest rate and I bet it's just regular USPS. But they can ship UPS or USPS. Easy peasy. The cheapest rate I've found is usually USPS First Class, but it's also the slowest. Not by too awful much, though. They don't carry the USPS flat rate priority boxes though, so be prepared for that. read more

I needed a notary QUICKLY! I did a quick lookup via my map app at first to see where one was close, just for convenience. Several businesses, including UPS stores populated. I then began reading reviews. One poor review after another. I came upon this UPS store with great ratings (even though it was not the closest). I've been in retail for 20 years and believe service is everything. I decided to try this location out. I passed a dozen notary locations (including a half dozen UPS stores) to get here. I was NOT disappointed! Patrick assisted me. He was extremely pleasant and professional. He mentioned that his father owned the business and stressed taking care of the customer. He quickly (and inexpensively) notarized my documents and explained the services provided. I highly recommend this location if you are looking for a notary and if you need services typically associated with a UPS store. read more
