I've used this UPS Store several times, and the staff has always been friendly, helpful, and efficient. The service has consistently been good, and I've never had any issues with the employees. Apple Maps showed the store as being open on Sunday, so I made the trip only to find a sign on the door saying they're closed on Sundays. I went ahead and reported the incorrect hours on Apple Maps, so hopefully it gets updated and saves others a wasted trip. Overall, it's a reliable UPS Store with great customer service. They will do their job but be careful because they'll nickel and dime you to death at this particular location. I go to the other ones in Summerville, they're just fine and very helpful. Here, if you your package is rough (but sturdy), they'll try to repack you and act like you have to. The kid at the register was going to give me a couple pieces of tape and then decided that he wanted to try and upsell me to a repack. When I said no he then refused to give me tape unless I paid a fee. He said each location is different and that if the gas was less than the fee I should go to the other nearby locations if they will do it. Maybe he was just having a bad day or had been dealing with grumpy customers but that wasn't me so I don't know what this problem was. read more

Always customer service oriented! I love the safety and security of have a PO Box as I was a victim of mail theft twice. I had a photo of my dad made into a canvas at this location which the whole family liked. Also, my job deals with a lot of documents that need notarized. I refer people to their notary all the time as have a great price and even greater customer service. read more

I frequent this location because it's convenient but I usually come before work because they open at 7:30am. Several times I am here at 7:30 or before and the lights are all off and the gate is closed. This doesn't make for a good customer service experience when you don't open as advertised! read more

This is usually my go to location for shipping. However, I recently overnighted a package to another location that was only 90miles away. The clerk did tell me that the overnight arrival was an "estimate." But, when my packaged was delivered 4 days late, I returned to the store and asked for a refund. I was told by another clerk that they don't "guarantee" any shipping since covid and that they would not be giving a refund. I explained to him that I understand that, but that they should tell people that up front instead of just saying it's an "estimated" time. I expect this from the post office, not UPS. read more

Sending back to amazon pre paid small box of vitamins needed 1 piece of tape women running store acted like she was doing me a favor and charged me 1.50 for a 4 inch piece of tape. Won't be going here again that must be why half the shopping center is empty. Piss poor customer service. I went in today to do an Amazon Return. I dealt with a lady named Lori. I had all my shipping information and just needed my box closed and taped . She told me that my label was to small, I've used a label the same size before and it was not an issue. I then called my sister as it was her return and she needed to do the instructions Lori told her to do. When my sister found out that she did not have the "send to a friend option" she simply said there is not a button to send it directly to an email, and when Mrs.Lori heard that she stated "well there is but okay" . Some options are different on other phones and other apps. Then shortly after I dealt with a much more understanding girl ,couldn't get her name, and she told us just to send the screenshot to the email we were given the label and was able to ship it off. But bad customer service from the start and just caught me off guard , especially since she was listening to my phone call. read more

They wanted $2.87 for one page, would not let me have an envelope and then don't take credit cards under $5 (I guess they don't make a profit at $3 for a page in black and white). This UPS location is one of the best in the Summerville/Knightsville area. I can usually get in and out of this location in 2-3 minutes which is amazing when I compare it to other UPS stores. Because this location is in a shopping complex there is lots of parking which is also helpful. They always have supplies on hand and their card selection is very good. I have used their services to send items via USPS but I find it expensive. Even buying USPS stamps incurs a surcharge. Next time when I need stamps I'll just buy them from the nearby Walgreens or CVS at cost price. (I usually use this location to ship items back to business with the pre-stamped labels.) Be warned that if you wish to use your credit card you must spend at least $5. This location also offer notary services for $5 a page. I was going to use that service until I found out that my local bank (BofA) offered the service free to customers. read more

If you absolutely need the convenience of this store... use it, but be prepared to be nickeled and dimed. The have an up charge to use the USPO options and from my experience using the UPS services are much more expensive. They charge you $5.00 for a piece of tape and a similar charge for any other option such as putting peanut stuffing in the box. You pay significantly more here than you would at the USPO..... and they have about the same level of friendliness and professionalism. I suggest taking the extra few minutes to use the Post Office and skip the surly GM and likely owner who can be condescending and rude. read more

I attempted to do business at this location on Central Avenue about a month ago, but the girl behind the counter had a friend in the store she was more interested in conversing with, rather than assisting me. I waited a long time to be acknowledged, then when I was, she rushed through everything and made me feel unwelcome. It was extremely unprofessional. Your customers should be your upmost priority during business hours. I had planed on opening a P.O. Box for my business, getting some advertisements designed and made to mail out, and business cards. I will gladly make the longer drive elsewhere for better service. From the looks of these reviews, it appears I made the right choice. But a word of advice from one business owner to another, be observant of your employees and how they treat customers in front of, and outside your presence. Lastly not allowing them to have friends hang about distracting them during business hours. read more
