I've been coming here only if I had to return items I bought from Amazon. So I don't come here often. I noticed the efficiency and helpful staff at this place. They're always busy but they got the job done perfectly. Another service they offer is a notary service. I was told by the bank (can you believe the bank doesn't provide this service) to come here for that. Tom, either the owner or manager, notarized a document for me. He's helpful and manages a good store. That was awesome and good to know for the future. I just realized that UPS offers cheaper rates than FedEx for domestic shipments. I so appreciate having a UPS store in the neighborhood. I go to this store all the time to return packages, make copies or send important documents. They also offer a notary service, which is hard to find. This place for me is so convenient. Everyone is friendly, efficient, dependable and busy. When their old location burned down in 2018, I was at a complete loss. You really do not know how important a place is until you lose them. The one place they don't try and steal your packages. The new scam is UPS stores telling you as per Amazon's policy they don't allow paper proof of dropoffs. That's completely inaccurate and packages mysteriously disappear from those places. I live nowhere near this place and drive here to drop off anything I have to return because they automatically print the receipt as they scan your packages. They're always smiling, chatting with customers, and I've never had an issue. Thanks guys! read more

This is the worst UPS store in New York City. I hope someone soon comes up with a FEDEX store for this neighborhood, it is NEEDED! The owners of this place are unprofessional, angry, always trying to compensate for their inferiority complex, lack knowledge of their trade, don't really understand much English and make a mess of things. They can't even read an RMA label. They shipped the wrong item with the wrong return form and as a result I lost the item and the refund. USELESS! No sense of customer service. You're better off going to the Long Island City store or better yet, to Manhattan. This people give UPS a bad name. This store should be closed. read more

I always come to this location because it's right by my apartment. They are always super kind and get the job done quick and efficiently!

A couple of gripes I have about this store is the fact it's small and the website's photo is completely misleading. When I was told on the phone that the store would have a good selection of mail accessories, I was surprised to see how little it actually had and how small the store really was. Furthermore, given the fact the store's "photo" appears on the website as something else, people might drive by and miss this place entirely. That's just false advertising. One thing they do have going for them is steady and decent customer service. Even during the holiday hours they were efficient in keeping the line moving and answering people's questions without coming across as being rude. Though sometimes I feel Fedex and DHL have a one up on them, this store still fits my needs for shipping issues. read more

I'd like to share my experience at this UPS today. I nicely asked some questions. I was calm and respectful. One old lady and one old man (His name is prob Tonny. I'm not sure) explained to me. I recommend this store representative goes to anger management class or see a doctor specified dementia. My father has dementia. My father is in nursing home and he has to wear diaper all the time. I noticed this old man, Tonny has the same face feature and initial symptoms my father developed at early stage. I'm pretty sure that Tonny's face feature and talking are much closer to dementia than mentally challenging person. I didn't start any argument. I didn't even speak much. I was just listening what they speak. However, just by himself, just hearing what he was talking, this old man was getting so excited and aggressive. Again, I was very quiet. I said almost nothing. I was nice and respectful. However, this store representative (Tonny) started screaming. I was surprised and felt intimidated so for self-defense purpose, I started videotaping. What happened was once I put my phone back, he thought I stopped recording so he screamed at me "Bitch! Get a fuck away, Bitch!" Probably his front cortex was not functioning well anymore so he couldn't control himself, couldn't stop screaming like that. He developed this level of anger just by himself. He was getting angry because he was hearing himself getting angry. For me he looks like he's on around the borderline of reality and his paranoid world. Good thing was I actually didn't stop recording so I could file an official complaint to UPS with a proof of video. Also, another my impression about him was he might want to show other employees his masculinity. (Pro his employees just thought the same as I felt though, dementia old man....) Because I'm Asina woman with foreign accent, he probably thought it's ok to scream at me. I don't think this guy can do the same thing to the White American women. He could do that because I looked immigrant woman. All I did was asking some questions. I didn't do anything wrong. However, this old man showed this amount of intimidation. What's the reason for that??? Probably, he doesn't have enough confidence and feels insecure himself. To hide his insecurity, some guys do this. He's the type of person, harsh to the people weaker than him and flatter to the stronger. He chose the wrong person though. I am going to file official complaints to any place I can with the proof of the video. I am going to write about my experience on any available review websites. I understand UPS needs someone to work. It's hard to be happy and mentally healthy at an old age. My experience seems just a small thing. However, I believe this old man is going to bring tremendous damage to business, possibly something like litigation, if UPS keeps a contract with him in the future. I recommend UPS to terminate a contract with this representative, Tonny. read more

Was caught trying to scam one of my expensive sneaker packages that sold. The young asian man that name starts with a "Ja" tried to scan my other Package twice after a bunch of confusion and when confronted him he even denied it by saying that the weights were different but he did not "realize" that the tracking #s were the same. He tried to purposely scan my other package twice and forget to scan the Nike one so that he can take the package himself. Will report to corporate. read more

The answer: $3.40. I pause, and ask several times if they're pricing me for the correct item. Small store but excellent customer service. The store was busy and only one lady was working but she was thorough, friendly and quick. Customer service is clearly very important to them. A regular came in to return a box that wasn't the correct size, she greeted him by name and took care of him immediately. I was shipping a total of five packages and she didn't make me feel like I was a burden. This store has shipping supplies, you can print stuff in color or black and white and they can send off regular USPS mails as well. Keep in mind there is a $10 debit/credit card minimum. Worst customer experience I have ever had. They post online and on the door that they have Notary Service but what they dont tell you is that its only from 10-7. I missed it by 7 minutes so the employees very kindly told me to go down the block and try at the local pharmacy. Unfortunately, for me they were already closed. So, because I was late by 7 minutes I am now going to be 2 hours late to work this morning looking for a notary and fax machine. I've been to a lot of UPS Store locations, and they're usually a well-run franchise. This one, I'm sure, gets the packages out on time and all that crap. What makes these guys suck hard is that they are, HANDS DOWN, the cheapest UPS store I've ever been in. Imagine if MacDonald's charged you for ketchup packets, straws, etc. Well that's how this store is. There is a super passive aggressive sign in front of the computers, saying, "$1.25 for computer use for even 1 second up to 15 minutes." So if I use it for .9993 seconds it's free? And what a joy those computers are! I think my Casio Digital Calculator watch had more processing power then these sad old 'puter mares that should be on their way to the silicone glue factory. My printer was out of ink, so I needed to print 2 prepaid labels. $1.25! Then, I didn't tape up the boxes, thinking they'd have a piece of tape available for use (mine is still packed somewhere since I just moved in). However, they must get crushed on tape prices, so they pass that onto us, the customer, a dollar per piece of tape. No joke! In the end, it's not much money. But it sure is irritating. I'll give them this, though. When they asked me for my signature, and I asked them for a pen, the guy laughed when I asked how much it was to use their pen. read more

I know 5 stars seems a little ridiculous for a UPS store, so I'll explain: 3 stars if meh, did their job, 4 stars if they did their job well, 5 stars if they did something above & beyond. 1. When dropping off Amazon Prime returns, I'm literally in and out, a quick scan and receipt given every time 2. I dropped off 2 enormous desks (also Amazon returns, ha) in the blizzard (by myself, so they were covered in street mush by the time I got it in the door) and they took them without giving me ANY grief (also they were open in that blizzard!) 3. I had to mail a bent-up, heavy, iron table leg to the manufacturer for replacement, and the guy who helped me told me to keep the moving blanket I had brought bec they're costly and reusable, and instead found a box, filled it with peanuts, and THEN cut the box down to size. - He could have said "oh well, that's the box we have" and charged me more based on larger dimensions, but did the opposite! - And yeah I had to pay for the box and peanuts, but big deal, I didn't have the right box, and you can bet I wasn't going to get that blanket back with the fixed table leg. If you move at all in NYC you know everything ADDSUP, so I appreciated him saving me the blanket! 3.5. FINALLY, he did all of this starting at 7:58 pm, and he didn't rush me even though the store closed at 8pm. They literally left the door open until 8p making it clear people could come in, rather than close it at 7:55 so they could start shutting down early (which is something I hate about any store) So that's my experience. I will preface this review with the fact that I have used this place in the past and I found the staff to be helpful with answering questions, getting help with copiers/scanners, printing needs and shipping needs. The owner is always quick with a suggestion or a recommendation on how to wrap or ship something etc. However, today I was particularly disconcerted when I went in to ship a package to my girlfriend working overseas. I have shipped multiple times through this UPS store without incident and the delay, if any, has always been through customs on the other end but it typically gets over there without delay. When I walked up to the counter and placed my filled large shipping envelope on the counter and explained where I wanted to ship and provided my phone number to bring up a previous address the Staff Member quickly brought the address up and began asking about the package. ***After asking me to fill out the customs form the staff member proceeded to take my envelope off the counter from in front of me to behind the counter and pull out the packed items I had in the shipping envelope and then she went through them asking me to explain them for shipping purposes. I have never seen something so unprofessional at this location and that is why I felt compelled to follow up with this review.*** In past, they have asked me to fill out the customs form and attest to what i am shipping. Which is standard but how this staff member thought that was appropriate I have no idea. If I'm spending over $100+ to ship an item overseas then do me the courtesy of not rifling through the care package I put together for a loved one. It's just bad for a shipping business. read more

We recently rented a mailbox here, since we're not able to get packages at home. Their customer service is excellent: I love that they call us to let us know that we have a package to pick up, and that they greeted me by name on only my second visit there. The yearly price on the mailbox was great, and they'll sign for packages and receive from all carriers. Every time I've been in there they've been busy (its a small store and can get pretty crowded), and there are usually just two employees, but they always let you know they'll take care of you.
