I know 5 stars seems a little ridiculous for a UPS store, so I'll explain: 3 stars if meh, did their job, 4 stars if they did their job well, 5 stars if they did something above & beyond. 1. When dropping off Amazon Prime returns, I'm literally in and out, a quick scan and receipt given every time 2. I dropped off 2 enormous desks (also Amazon returns, ha) in the blizzard (by myself, so they were covered in street mush by the time I got it in the door) and they took them without giving me ANY grief (also they were open in that blizzard!) 3. I had to mail a bent-up, heavy, iron table leg to the manufacturer for replacement, and the guy who helped me told me to keep the moving blanket I had brought bec they're costly and reusable, and instead found a box, filled it with peanuts, and THEN cut the box down to size. - He could have said "oh well, that's the box we have" and charged me more based on larger dimensions, but did the opposite! - And yeah I had to pay for the box and peanuts, but big deal, I didn't have the right box, and you can bet I wasn't going to get that blanket back with the fixed table leg. If you move at all in NYC you know everything ADDSUP, so I appreciated him saving me the blanket! 3.5. FINALLY, he did all of this starting at 7:58 pm, and he didn't rush me even though the store closed at 8pm. They literally left the door open until 8p making it clear people could come in, rather than close it at 7:55 so they could start shutting down early (which is something I hate about any store) So that's my experience. I will preface this review with the fact that I have used this place in the past and I found the staff to be helpful with answering questions, getting help with copiers/scanners, printing needs and shipping needs. The owner is always quick with a suggestion or a recommendation on how to wrap or ship something etc. However, today I was particularly disconcerted when I went in to ship a package to my girlfriend working overseas. I have shipped multiple times through this UPS store without incident and the delay, if any, has always been through customs on the other end but it typically gets over there without delay. When I walked up to the counter and placed my filled large shipping envelope on the counter and explained where I wanted to ship and provided my phone number to bring up a previous address the Staff Member quickly brought the address up and began asking about the package. ***After asking me to fill out the customs form the staff member proceeded to take my envelope off the counter from in front of me to behind the counter and pull out the packed items I had in the shipping envelope and then she went through them asking me to explain them for shipping purposes. I have never seen something so unprofessional at this location and that is why I felt compelled to follow up with this review.*** In past, they have asked me to fill out the customs form and attest to what i am shipping. Which is standard but how this staff member thought that was appropriate I have no idea. If I'm spending over $100+ to ship an item overseas then do me the courtesy of not rifling through the care package I put together for a loved one. It's just bad for a shipping business. read more

Forced to use them as the only game in town to pick up and ship from a local auction house. They grossly overcharge, and somehow misinterpret a question about their inflated rates as a go-ahead to proceed with packing and shipping. Conveniently ignoring my rate question, they picked up and packed the item. When I questioned their rates again, and asked why they'd pick up an auction purchase without the buyer's consent, they simply asked if I wanted them to return it to the seller. This has not been my experience at other UPS stores, who are by and large honest and professional. This one - not so much. On to the BBB to lodge a complaint. read more

All I can say, is this place is awesome. William is very helpful and knowledgable. I've been there 2 times now, both shipping international, and William was more than helpful and explained the fees to me each time. I even had a box that was much to large, and he suggested I get a smaller box, helped me rearrange my stuff, so I could save lie $60 on the shipping. I will be a repeat customer of this store, even though I live in Ridgewood. I see some of the comments here, that he charged for this , and for that. Guys, I run a business, nothing is free, especially when you have a storefront on queens blvd, so cut the guy a little slack. Remember, you pay $10 for shipping, he probably sees $1 of that money from UPS, the rest goes for the actual shipping. read more

I use this store all the time for passport photos, printing and shipping. The employees are extremely helpful and honest. I've read quite a few reviews and a lot of the 1 star reviews complain about pricing which I don't agree with. The prices are what they are they are a business and have every right to charge whatever they want as long they are upfront about it I don't see a problem. I use UPS to ship domestically and USPS to ship internationally. The employees even told me that UPS would be more expensive internationally than USPS. read more

Efficient and easy. I entrusted the team at this store with some family valuables (a relative in the area had just passed). I was anxious about leaving the items, but could not fly home with them. The clerk was courteous, prompt and told me not to worry. When the items arrived on the day they were promised I was amazed to find that he had re-packed everything with great care (over my less than professional wrapping). All items arrived in tact. Will definitely use this location for shipping additional items when in the area. read more

By far the WORST UPS STORE experience EVER! I purchased over $700 worth of items from an auction company (Capo Auctions, this is your fault, too) who recommended this UPS Store as the only option to their buyers from an on-line auction. "William" aka "Tony Tang" the supposed "manager", gave an estimate that was 40% above and beyond what other UPS Stores charge --and it didn't include insurance --and shipped it that way! "We don't ship with insurance unless you specifically ask..." Really, William? So the $700.00 of jewelry and watches I purchased is in the safe hands of the USPS system, or worse, your store employees who picked up and handled my items but who you refuse to name? Gee, what could possibly go wrong? How this particular franchise stays in business is beyond me. Please, do yourself a favor, go to any other UPS Store franchise but this one -- because this one is a NIGHTMARE of COSMIC PROPORTIONS! read more

It's a $1.25 to use their computer alone. Even if you have a USB and can print without internet. It's a rip off, especially since it's a lot cheaper to go online and print for pickup (which doesn't make sense since they end up doing most of the work). I hope they open up a FedEx printing services in this area, I like their system better. This store is very out dated. I'll probably drive to Astoria next time to print things out. read more

Staff members are friendly and helpful. I mostly use this location as an access point when I can't get a package delivered to my apartment. I have also used it for outgoing mail. There were a few occasions when I had problems routing packages here, but i think that was caused by the umbrella UPS, not this store location. I only wish they had more open hours. read more

Worst experience ever! I would never entrust my valuables here. The owner "Tony" basically hijacked my items that were to be picked up at the location of pick up and delivered to the destination by loading them in his car and then informing me that he was going to go to the mall to pick up his wife and would then meet me at the store in 10 minutes. When I called him 15 minutes later after I arrived at his store and he wasn't there yet he proceeded to yell at me like a "crazy" person. After waiting fir 50 minutes I called again and he hung up the phone. Finally he arrived an hour later and I retrieved the items from his car and took them to another UPS LOCATION. I would not never do business with this person let alone have him ship my valuables. Tony was rude and disrespectful and belligerent. I have worked with many UPS stores throughout the world shipping antiques for customers and have never encountered anything like this before. I would certainly think twice about going here. I must say that the employee "William" was very nice and appeared embarrassed by the situation. read more

this store is amazing. every single person that works there is so pleasant and helpful and rushes to get you in and out. i am so thankful for the doorman service. it's just a $1 for them to box stuff up for you when you'd spend a ton buying all the supplies and making a mess. time for the computer and printing is minimal. the savings is great, services are wide and the staff is friendly and knows how to help. they do 10 things at once. anyone who complains about price of small services is cheap. they practically give things away. read more
