Called to make sure Notary Public was there and was told Notary person was there until 6:00pm. Told person on the phone I was on my way. Got there at 5:15pm and was told Notary person left early. Clerk in the store tried to say I didn't call that store. I verified the phone number I called on my cell phone. Still trying to argue that I didn't call. I made sure to call because I was coming from the other UPS store on Mission whose Notary Public left early too after I called them. Don't go to this UPS or the one on Mission for Notary sevices! They all apparently like to leave early. Worst customer service by all the staff. Apparently no one communicates to each other. Update: Great customer service at the UPS on Alvarado Blvd. They have long lines, but are efficient. They know how to multi-task. And Notary was there when I called. read more

If you like needlessly overpaying for your items because of neglectful customer service, this is your store. Be careful about how the associates at this store process your items. I had my sister send a personal package to the UK (where I currently am) and I was slammed by an enormous import charge here. UPS in GB refused to give me my item unless I paid $334.00 USD, due to an import charge on an item I already own. I am still in the process of getting refunded. If the package was correctly listed by the associate, I might have been spared the difficulty of tracking down a refund. read more

This store is excellent! I recently was visiting the area and came here for a number of things - copies, faxes, shredding, emailed them a document to print, notary and packing/shipping. Everything went super smoothly and the staff were excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. I had them pack and ship a couple of delicate items and they did an amazing job, much better than I expected. I went to this location may10th looking to get some paper work notarized. Two girls working the counter were horrible. One heavy set girl was carrying on a conversation with a customer about her ring and manicure. She did not even acknowledge I was standing there. Then the second girl came out finally and said she did not know where or when the notary would be back and was rude and disrespectful. I walked out and left. These 2 girls are absolutely disgusting representatives for your company. The only good thing I want to note is I went back the next morning, the notary women was there I do not know her name but was very nice and helpful on getting my papers notarized. But the the two girls from the day before are lazy and do not care and should be fired! read more

Horrible service!! I dropped off a package to return to Amazon on 10/31/20. As of today, 11/15/20, Amazon still has not received the return and I haven't received my money back. I called UPS customer service and they refused to start an investigation until I contacted the UPS store. I called the store where I returned the package and was told to call UPS customer service! I told him customer service told me to call the store. The guy on the phone said he would call me back because he was busy with something else! He never called! I can't believe the incompetence and the lack of actual service of this company. Thank goodness for Amazon! This is the worst UPS store that there is. They are so misinformed about Amazon package drop off rules. Amazon has started issuing QR codes for packages that don't need packing. For the packages that need to be packed they issue a label. I went to drop off a package Mon with a QR code and the lady kept insisting that I chose the option where i need to pack it before dropping it off. There's no way that's possible because Amazon's shipping rules are preprogrammed. QR codes are not issued if it requires packaging. Finally, I went to the UPS store in Fremont hub and they accepted it as is. Such a pain... read more

I don't know why this UPS has low ratings. I never had a problem at this store. I would sometimes drop packages off or send package internationally. There can be a wait sometimes but it doesn't take too much time (unless you're in a rush). There's always one woman that's working there (I should get her name next time I go) and she's lovely. First time here, no complaints. I dropped off a package today and was out the door within 2 minutes of walking in. The place looked busier and I thought that I would get stuck in line for a few minutes. There were people making copies and another couple in line doing something. The look of the UPS Store is nothing fancy and looks like any other UPS establishment I've been to in the past. Well, right when I walked in I was greeted by an employee and he stated that he could help me. I handed my package, he scanned it, asked if I needed a receipt, handed me the receipt and I was out the door. Done and done. My experience here was fantastic. This is a late review, as I was supposed to post it a few days ago, but got busy babysittting.You know that bumbling clown who walks into a UPS store and needs to ship his package. He doesn't even have it packed correctly and doesn't even have the shipping address properly prepared. That good for nothing handsome guy is me (LOL). I'm the guy who needs help when it comes to sending stuff like this, especially a six foot carpet!! I was lucky enough to be helped by three BEAUTIFUL LADIES named Jackey, Talia and Zuley!! and they were all were so nice and helpful to me.They took the extra time to ensure my package was packed correctly and going to the correct place.They didn't look down on my man packaging skills!! This is when you just do a half rear taping. They went ahead and re tape it for me professionally. The location is perfect ample parking and the customer service here was a 5 star. They helped me out and were so friendly about it; I don't mind paying extra and not waiting in those crazy post office lines. I have been having all my packages delivered to this store since March, 2015. My neighborhood is known to have mail & package theft and this is why I started having everything delivered here. Gloria & Mariah & Reyna (I think the Manager) are all great! I highly recommend this store. I'd like to recommend to the owners that there needs to be additional help after 5:00 because there are sometimes long lines. Also, need to have more than 1 employee checking the emails. I'd also recommend that if the employees aren't able to answer the phone, maybe have the call forwarded to another Owner Owned store so it doesn't just ring. Keep up the great work! read more

Whenever I need a package to be sent out or need notary, I always come to this UPS store because it's like 5 minutes from my house. The people here are really friendly, helpful, and always greet you with a smile. This UPS Store gets an A+ when it comes to customer service. But there is one major back to this place. This is the smallest UPS Store that I've ever been too. If you're looking to do more than mailing a package sent or Notary, you're better off going someplace else. This is not a Kinko's style layout, so don't be expecting massive amounts of business tools or copy machines, etc. This location should be used for what I consider 5 minute jobs. Here's my package please send it out to X, Y, or Z. Or I need to buy some stamps and boxes, thank you very much and I'm gone. Not only is this place small, but it's located in a busy stripmall. So this UPS store does get busy and can get a bit claustrophobic when there are a lot people here. Usually there is only 1 or 2 people working here, so the line can get wrong (especially if you get the one person who has a ton of packages going out to different places and needs a separate receipt for each of their package... but I digress). Overall good neighborhood UPS Store for those quick in and out deliveries and your Notary needs. The friendly and helpful staff makes what would be a 3 Star experience a 4 Star place. read more

I feel like the quality of the customer service at this store has really improved over the years. About 3 years ago, I would say this branch deserved only about 2 stars. Naturally, whenever I needed to head a UPS Store I tried specifically to avoid this one. However, my latest experience really improved my estimation of them! Customer Service: I was doing a lot of errands that day involving mailing out my supporting documents for a VISA - basically, my LIFE in a package being sent off to New York. Enough to give me major anxiety, right? So I turned to Maria (I believe her name was), who was extremely helpful with getting everything sorted out. She explained to me all the different pricing systems for how quickly I wanted my package delivered and returned and was super helpful with trying to help me figure out what I needed to do and the best course of action. Not once losing her patience! Dealing with clueless customers is a pain in the ass sometimes (I can attest to that having worked in customer service myself), but I feel like anyone deserves a gold star after spending 20 minutes with someone and understanding how important the package is. After sending off all the important documents I have in the world, I didn't feel anxious. I just relaxed and had breakfast because I knew everything was in good hands! read more

Don't make the mistake I made I wanted to get a notary done on legal paperwork. turns out the lady behind the counter did not even know her own legal obligations as a notary public. She informed me that I must fill out section which was required by law for her to fill. all she was going to do was stamp and sign. Thank God I know the rules of Notary Public being that I am a notary public myself. Her license should be revoked or she should attend one of those sessions again to renew her education of being a notary public. Why do people get licenses they don't understand the rules that are required to hold those licenses. She was rude and unprofessional. I drove across town to another ups store and he knew what he was doing and it's was a pleasant experience. Do not waste your precious time and go to the ups store on Alvarado blvd. Used to have friendly staff and services when needed, as well as really motivated employees. I even remember using packaging services (since they offered it) to pack heavy large items. I was concerned about this since I didn't knew if they could pack such items, but the staff was awesome and offered me the right packaging service right away. I even shipped a big DOT printer once that they packed, and it arrived safely to destination. I was really impressed by how easy it was to just bring in my item, and they will pack and ship it for me without troubles. However, on March 12th 2017 I had to ship a expensive and bulky car part. I went to the shop as usual with my UPS prepaid label, packaging slip and "Fragile" stickers, very confident that they will pack this item for me and ship it as usual. Well, not really actually. Looked like they had new staff there who didn't knew anything about what they were supposed to do, or may be too lazy that day to do the packing job. I don't know. But that day all I received as answer when I asked if they could pack this item for me and ship it, was a "oh we don't have this kind of box so we can't pack it. You have to find one yourself like at Home Depot or so, and pack it yourself". YES, you read correctly that's what I got as answer that day! But wait, there is more! When I have tried to explain that I never had any problem before and always came here to pack my items, and that even UPS headquarter I had on the phone helping me with my shipment, confirmed that I could bring my item to any UPS store and that they will pack it for me, they told me that I should call some kind of UPS management center to get my item packed at instead. Then they gave the number of this place and left me by myself, wondering about what the hell just happened. Alright then, back in the car with my still UN-packed item, then calling this supposedly UPS management place. Guess what ?... The phone number they gave me ended up to be some sort of scamming line with a recorded voice saying that I won a cruise and asking me to do a survey (probably asking lot of personal info to steal my identity while they are at it) to claim my prize!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! Ended up going to a different UPS store where I found some competent and nice staff that handled my item and packaging services without any troubles. So NOPE, I am not returning any more to this UPS location. I am done after this. read more

I've been going to this UPS store for a couple of years now and it's always been a so-so experience there. Two ladies usually work there. The younger one seems a little dim, but perhaps I just have overly complex questions for her when I'm trying to figure out how to ship my packages. I've purchased stamps, shipped packages via UPS, and sent regular mail at this location. They usually have everything I need. This last time I went, while the younger lady was ringing me up, I had just taken out my credit card and was about to hand it over and then the older lady took over her register to ring another customer that came in after me. I stood there expecting the younger lady to say something like "excuse me" or "use the other register please" but she didn't so we were both just standing there looking at each other, waiting for them to finish. This experience is typical. Last time I went in, I tried to make small talk while I was putting stamps on my very belated holiday cards. I asked the young lady a question which I assumed she got all the time about the Forever stamps: what's the advantage of buying regular stamps when there are forever stamps? She looked at me confused, shrugged and said "i don't know." She then just stood there in silence and watched me for about 10 minutes as I put stamps on my envelopes. I'm not looking for intellectual stimulation when I make small talk, but throw me a bone by saying something nice and conversational back to me. Or maybe she just didn't feel like talking? Perhaps I'm just too chatty. The biggest pain about coming to this place is the parking. That lot is always full and crazy. The layout is insane too. Each aisle has rows that face both directions and has cars coming in both directions so when someone is backing out they jam up the aisle. The other problem is that the spaces are really tight too so watch your sides. I usually avoid all of this by parking further out, closer to Rite Aid. This end of the busy strip mall also has a Dollar Store, a yummy L&L, a super huge Starbucks, the best Wing Stop in the area, an awful Hometown Buffet, and Jenjon's Cafe I have yet to try but yelpers seem to love. read more
