I came to Staples Fremont Hub to pick up a poster I had printed. I got the email confirmation saying it was ready, with my name and order number. The store layout is efficient, so it is easy to find merchandise for purchase. Staples will recycle toner cartridges, batteries and computer parts for points and cash rewards for purchases. I've been here several times for printing services and Amazon returns. While the print quality isn't good, I still find myself dropping by for quick pick-ups for office supplies and other items. The staff here is mostly helpful. More helpful than the ones at the Milpitas location in the sense that I don't have to spend 10 minutes just to flag someone down. The employees here are efficient in the few times that I've been here. The only issue is sometimes when they go on lunch break, the lines can move extremely slow. I experienced THE WORST Amazon drop off experience here. I came in with a few items to drop off, and had the misfortune of working with sales representative, Jenny. She was talking while scanning my items, and got the stickers and QR codes mixed up. Then she couldn't figure out why an item wouldn't scan. With so many people working from home these days both of my daughters are lucky enough to be able to work from home. My oldest needed a wifi booster for her 2 desktops. Her IT dept suggested one from STAPLES. She ordered it and I went to pick it up... Our family has been shopping here at our local staples since they first came to Fremont. That's been awhile... Yikes!!!!! The incompetence level at this store is crazy. Don't bother with TSA at this location. If they do it correctly they still won't be able to tell you if it's successful or not. Different reps have different answers and they really seem like they don't want to help. Iam being told to wait 5 business days. After that they are coming up with an excuse because it's busy and can take up to 60 days... they can't search the info to see the status so do t waste your time. A worker named by Tina (which didn't even have her name badge) looks at me and says "yes, what are u waiting for?". She did not even walk to the front desk where I was standing waiting to be served... began to mumble from behind the desk where she was standing. Couldn't even hear her. I find that this Staples they have a good variety of products. I can shop quietly there. They greet you, and the staff works hard. They have TSA also. If I dont find what I am looking for, a staff member there will help me find an alternative. I just have to wait. They always help me save money. I am glad they are there. I came in on Wednesday to drop off two items for binding. This is my go to spot for office needs and have had several items binded in the past. They do a great job. They offer same day or next day pick up and prices vary on size and type of coil you select. I wasn't in a hurry so I decided to pick up my order the next day (you save a few bucks). On Thursday, I stopped in after work and one of my two items were incorrectly binded. Bobbie the wonderful associate apologized (she was not the one who took my order the previous day). She was happy to fix it. Despite there being a long line of other customers and the phone ringing, she went above and beyond to get it quickly fix for me. She's a great multi tasker! I have the worst Amazon drop off experience. The associate that handled my return tried to bent my return item in half (it is a long hard plastic stripe) so she can fit the item in the box. I stopped her doing that, I told her it would damaged the item. She said it is not my business as I have already returned it. I was shocked! I can't believe Staples hire someone with such an unprofessional attitude. I always have good shopping experience in Staples, but after this experience I will stay away from Staples, at least this location. I hope the management can see this post. During college I used to go into Kinko's all the time, but that was some time ago. I needed to get some posters laminated for the kid and send out a ups package. I was impressed with Staples. Better than Kinko's and they have items you wouldn't think of like N95 masks and other sanitation needs. Mine as well grab the broom you keep forgetting at Target and the swifter refills. Lol.
